alienwarrior, you need to check out the thread in "everything else" called "new occupant". I was wondering why I hadn't heard from you there.

I'd be interested in hearing more about this! Any specifics who "they" is? You mention Imagi, but is there proof? Either way, a TMNT-esque MM movie wouldn't be the worst thing in the world. -------------------- Max: I mean, sometimes, a guy just wants to go where he won't be bothered.
Bea: And what makes you think anyone would wanna bother you? Max: I beg your pardon, uh, is that any way to treat the guy who, just last week, I believe, saved the world from certain doom at the hands of Skullmaster? Bea: I'm sorry, I thought I was speaking to the guy who just last week spent two hours in the principal's office for mooning the teachers' lounge! |

I think Ed Speelers whould make a perfect Max. And if Richard Moll was younger he could still be Norman. But Tony Jay is irresplacable. I don't know who could ever fill his shoes.
On another note. I would like the Jim Henson Company to be involved instead of all the CGI they use now. It would be so cool to see them do something like that for Virgil? If they could make a Skeksi or Rygel, imagine what they could do for him!! But if Imagi does do a film, that's all fine and good too. At this point, I don't really care who makes it. I emailed Imagi to ask them myself. I have a feeling I won't get any kind of real answer though. -------------------- Stay Shiny!

If it is going to be a cartoon then the original voice actors would be a great idea.

It's a shame Tony Jay already passed on.

Wouldn't it be great if Rob Paulsen resumed his role as Max. One can only hope,

I was devastated when Tony Jay passed on; I could see them signing Tim Curry and Rob Paulsen for their original roles, and maybe even Richard Moll. A friend suggested Patrick Warburton (he's the voice of Kronk from "The Emperor's New Groove", and a few voices in "Kim Possible") as a Norman replacement. I'm also not sure if anyone watches the Clone Wars TV series on Cartoon Network, but James Arnold Taylor, the artist for Obi-Wan, is amazing at duplicating pretty much any voice. (He also did Wooldoor Sockbat on "Drawn Together", so it's a big range.) If I had any pull, he'd be the guy I'd tap for Virgil. I think at this point, I'd prefer all-CGI to live-action, if nothing else because I'm not sure I could handle Zac Efron as Max.
