This is post 5,001 on the Mighty Max Archives, representing the milestone achievement of 5,000 posts in our short history. Thanks to our regular posters for their continued enthusiasm and devotion for Mighty Max, and all discussion thereof! Hooray!
It also happened that I've just been accepted to do something I've always wanted to do; write an accademic essay on Mighty Max! I will be writing an examination into representations of masculinity in the show, focusing on how Norman and Virgil represent two competing, complenting sides of the male coin, and how max learns and develops in the company of both. Once it is handed back to me I will post it here for your feedback, but I am very excited by the prospect already!
