Welcome to Metropolis Cove, the newest roleplaying town. Register your character and begin your adventure! Invite your friends to join the fun!

It is the year 2510 and a war between the known and the unknown had just caused the complete annihilation of a city. For days, you could hear the desolate cries of the residents who could not leave even with the thick smog and rubble littering the streets. Many people died especially the adults who sacrificed their own life to save their children. They heard of a place, a refuge to take their children. It was an abandoned warehouse, in the middle of the city – now known as the slums. Among the massive amounts of children ranging from newborn to teenager were five special thinkers who could not bear the thought of ever leaving. All of them, somehow, were connected – mind, body and soul. Night after night, they would commune together in the hallway drawing along the paint chipped walls, with an old box of crayons, a vision of their future home would be. The buildings were taller, the homes more lavish and people of all races, all ethnicities, of all cultures would be welcome. Ten years later … The headline on the Daily Metro read: Metropolis Cove, a city rebuilt, a society restored.

The roads seemed even more winder in under the evening sky but he exercised caution especially with his precious cargo clung to him. On his way to the house he'd seen a small, country style in along the main road and that's where he intended to stay with Alani for the night. It was best not to go too far ... he had every intention of taking Alani back to her brothers house before going back to Metropolis.

When he finally saw the building, lit by a few lanterns in front, he pulled into the parking lot and cut the engine.

"We can stay here the night," he said to Alani, tucking his helmet underneath his arm and waving a hand through his hair. He then was beside her, removing her helmet and looking into her eyes.

"Hey, I'm sorry about tonight. I wish it had gone smoother."

Alani remained seated in the bike, her arms around him and she stared up at his face hesitantly. "It's okay... It's not your fault that your best friend is not a friend at all."

"Best friend. Corbin, my best friend ... never again. The only best friend I have is my girlfriend, which is you. I trust you. You don't judge me. You don't put me down. You love me the way I am, flaws and all."

He sighed and wished he still smoked because he wanted a cigarette bad. "I was about to punch him in his face. Give him a nice shiner."

Alani laughed sardonically. "Just a punch? I wanted to knee him in the gut and nether regions. He's an arse. I can't believe Tevin and Demi put up with him and that snobbish redhead. Ugh. I won't go back there," she said vehemently.

Drew gazed at her with a raised eye. "You have to go back. You will go back ... for your brother. I gave him my word and I really don't want to give him a reason to dislike me more than he does. Lani, this is temporary. You have to give me time ... you have to give Tevin a chance to get to know you." He frowned at her news of not wanting to return.

Alani scoffed. "If my brother was in an island by himself or maybe with Demi, I would live with them. Corbin is a jerk and Victoria is a snob. I would definitely butt heads with both of them. It won't help." She eyed him. "Since when do you care about what people think of you." Teasingly, she wrapped her fingers around his collar and tugged him toward her. "I should be the only one you care about."

Alani was good on laying the charm on him. She could make him smile when he really didn't want to and he loved that about her. Lifting her up in his arms, he kissed her again.

"You know I never ask you for anything but I'm asking, begging ... give your brother a try. If it's not for him, but for me. Please."

He placed his lips on her jaw and moved down along her neck. Somehow he had to persuade her to at least try. It was for the best.

Her body trembled in anticipation for their time together. She sighed and leaned into him. "No..." she whispered. "I don't want to try. Don't feel like it but don't stop."

"I'll have to stop before I get carried away and we do something we're not ready for." He placed her on the ground and looked for the door for the office. "I hope there's vacancy here. I'd like to spend the night comfortably with you but no funny business." He was serious on them not fooling around.

"Blah blah, Drew. You can't resist me for too long, especially if we get one room." Alani answered saucily, tugging at his shirttail as they walked into the inn.

"I can resist you ... I have been so you shouldn't be hoping for anything to happen tonight. We're going to sleep next to each other like we always have ... no lines crossed." He entered the office and the bell jingled over his head.

"Welcome to Vienna Country Inn. How can I help you?" asked the clerk.

"One room, two beds if possible," he said, giving Lani a cocky smile.

"Sorry sir ... we only have one room with a king size bed and a jacuzzi. But I can give you a good price for it. Only 49.95 since it's a late check in." The old woman smiled and Drew pressed his lips together.

Alani held back a smug grin, listening and watching the woman recant the price and deal for the one-bed room. She cleared her throat and feigned disinterest, looking everywhere but at Drew.

"I guess I'll have to take it. Don't twist my arm," he joked with the lady who laughed at his silliness. Drew pulled out his wallet and handed over his emergency credit card, one that he rarely used because he knew he couldn't afford paying it back at the moment. But tonight, he would sacrifice because he wanted to be with Alani.

"Okay sir, everything went threw and you're all set to go. You're in room number 64. Just go out and make a right into the next lot. Have a good evening. Checkout is at 3pm."

Alani giggled once they started walking down the hallway. She hooked an arm under his own and snuggled beside him. "Thanks dear," she singsonged and kissed his shoulder.
