Welcome to Metropolis Cove, the newest roleplaying town. Register your character and begin your adventure! Invite your friends to join the fun!

It is the year 2510 and a war between the known and the unknown had just caused the complete annihilation of a city. For days, you could hear the desolate cries of the residents who could not leave even with the thick smog and rubble littering the streets. Many people died especially the adults who sacrificed their own life to save their children. They heard of a place, a refuge to take their children. It was an abandoned warehouse, in the middle of the city – now known as the slums. Among the massive amounts of children ranging from newborn to teenager were five special thinkers who could not bear the thought of ever leaving. All of them, somehow, were connected – mind, body and soul. Night after night, they would commune together in the hallway drawing along the paint chipped walls, with an old box of crayons, a vision of their future home would be. The buildings were taller, the homes more lavish and people of all races, all ethnicities, of all cultures would be welcome. Ten years later … The headline on the Daily Metro read: Metropolis Cove, a city rebuilt, a society restored.

Jaz had become rather accustomed to the sensation of flying and found that she enjoyed just as much as she had the first time. It was a wonderful feeling, almost like weightlessness. She didn’t question why she was sure Luciano wouldn’t drop her just as she no longer questioned why she was attracted to him. The fact of the matter was that she was and she enjoyed his company. In the end that was all that mattered.

“As long as I don’t turn into dinner or dessert,” she said in his ear, half seriously. “I really wouldn’t mind some sleep.” She didn’t need a lot but when she was tired, she was bone tired. She barely felt the little jolt of him landing in front of the motel and carefully slid to her feet. “You don’t have to carry me inside.”

He chuckled, placing his hand on the doorknob and it unlocked. He twisted it and while he did so, laughed again, especially at her comment. "I already had dinner like I week ago but I can't promise you I won't want you for dessert," he said seductively, allowing Jaz to enter first.

"Welcome to my little box in a wall," he said, showing her the one room which was a complete mess. There were books stacked high in each corner, so spilling on the floor creating a domino effect. There were only a few clothes strewn about. What was the messiest part was the stacks of paper that sat on every even surface. Some were spells, others were handwritten stories about the vampire past. There was just too much material there.

"Sorry for the mess, I've been researching," he said, shoving the xerox copies into a crumped all box.

"Don't start something you can't finish," she warned trailing a hand over his chest as she brushed past him and into the room. Mess didn't accurately describe the condition of his room.

"Researching what?" she asked curiously as she shifting some papers over to sink down on the be.d. "Whatever it is I'm sure you know everything there is to know about it by now," she laughed softly. "I'm amazed at the dedication."

Slowly, Luciano was able to clear off the bed, dumping all the papers in a bax and placing it against a wall with a stack of other boxes. After he was done, the room looked a little less cluttered and more inhabitable. Sliding out the chair from underneath the desk, he moved it closer to Jaz. Before he sat down, however, he tossed his jacket on the desk and removed his shirts. Immediately his wings spread and relaxed again.

"I've been trying to see if there has been anyone like me in any vampire stories. So far, there are none but I'm mentioned as a spawn of evil." He smiled.

Absently she reached out to stroke his wings, smiling at the soft luxurious feel of them. It distracted her from the sight of his bare muscular chest. His body was to die for!

"Hmm, does the spawn of evil necessarily mean you're evil. It's like the good children who have bad parents. It doesn't necessarily make them bad."

A tingle traveled down his spine when she stroked her fingers against the plush feathers. It actually felt very nice. He had never experienced such a soothing action in all his years ... probably because he had never gotten close with anyone for a long time.

Sighing happily, his eyes popped open and he gazed at Jaz. "Hmm, I have to be evil if I kill ... I mean, it's part of who I am. It's my nature. If I'm being called evil I can live with it."

She fell back on the bed stretching out as she looked at him. She didn't see evil when she looked at him despite some of his deeds. He was someone who didn't even enjoy violence, fighting. She sighed in pleasure at being able to relax. The bed was comfortable, especially after her long day.

She shrugged. "I'm just not sure if evil is the right word is all."

"I may have white wings but I'm no angel either," he smirked, watching her sprawl out against the covers, her body yet again inviting. He took several breaths and made a mistake ... taking in all her scent and being overpowered by desire and lust. However, he controlled it. He had too. Standing up, he paced around the room, searching for other distractions.

"What do you see then?"

"Hmm, what do I see? I see someone who doesn't let people get close to him, who keeps his distance because he's afraid to care for people, afraid of what it might cause. I see someone who's very protective and possibly even loving even if he won't admit it," she answered quietly. Then she shrugged and ran a hand through her hair to shake it loose from its ponytail. "But that's just me, so how well do I see Luciano?"

Luciano shook his head. Maybe some of those details were true but he just couldn't help but laugh at the protective part. Him, protective? He was a vampire with a bad temperment and could very well be spiteful. What was Jaz seeing in him? It was very surprising, again. She noticed things about him he didn't even know existed.

"Laugh if you will," she smiled as she propped herself up on her elbow, looking at him through lowered lids. "I know I'm right, you don't have to confirm anything. Maybe one day you'll see it for yourself."

Crossing the room quickly, he jumped in the bed beside Jaz and laid on his side. His body was so close, to hers, he could feel the warmth of her body against the cool of his chest. He could never forget the feeling of how it felt that day. It always repeated in his mind.

"Yeah maybe one day ... in the next few hundred years."

She laughed softly, a little breathlessly. With his body so close to hers, it was hard not to recall the night of the full moon and everything they'd shared that night. "Hopefully you'll have an epiphany a little sooner than that," she managed to say in an attempt to distract herself.

He chuckled and took a pillow off the bed to squeeze it under his head. He was beyond comfortable, in the safety of his room with a beautiful, enticing woman who he'd love to just kiss senseless, leaving that overwhelming feeling of dizziness. He sighed, closing his eyes for a few moments.

"You're too kind."
