Welcome to Metropolis Cove, the newest roleplaying town. Register your character and begin your adventure! Invite your friends to join the fun!

It is the year 2510 and a war between the known and the unknown had just caused the complete annihilation of a city. For days, you could hear the desolate cries of the residents who could not leave even with the thick smog and rubble littering the streets. Many people died especially the adults who sacrificed their own life to save their children. They heard of a place, a refuge to take their children. It was an abandoned warehouse, in the middle of the city – now known as the slums. Among the massive amounts of children ranging from newborn to teenager were five special thinkers who could not bear the thought of ever leaving. All of them, somehow, were connected – mind, body and soul. Night after night, they would commune together in the hallway drawing along the paint chipped walls, with an old box of crayons, a vision of their future home would be. The buildings were taller, the homes more lavish and people of all races, all ethnicities, of all cultures would be welcome. Ten years later … The headline on the Daily Metro read: Metropolis Cove, a city rebuilt, a society restored.

It was Friday and Trevor couldn't be more thankful because he was exhausted from studying for hours and hours at a time, trying to focus on his studies rather than the rumors flying around campus about him and Autumn. Thankfully none were with him and Julia. He could only assume people were more interested in his relationship with Autumn than the lunch with his ex. It was easier to deal with that issue than the other.

Stepping into the frat house, a party was already underway. The guys were spread throughout the first floor; some playing pool, others playing on the Xbox 360 and some just throwing back a couple of cold ones.

"Heeey Trevor," called one of the guys when he shut the door and was trying to get upstairs undetected. Fat chance! He turned in the direction of the voice in time to catch a can of beer being thrown toward him. "Have a cold one and join us, brother."

"Hey Ed," he greeted his fellow frat brother and popped the tab on his beer. He took a few quick swigs and then lifted the can toward him. "I'll be right back. I'm going to dump this stuff in my room."

"Good because the party hasn't even begun my friend."

Trevor immediately walked up the stairs and made it to his room without another interruption. He planned to stay there awhile because he was in no mood to party. Leaving the can on his dresser, he plopped down on his bed and laid there staring at the ceiling.

When Julia arrived, the party was well under way. She'd barely made it in the door before some of the brothers dragged her to them for hugs and outrageous comments. She giggled and pulled back, adjusting her skirt. "Hey guys, looks like the party of the month in here. You didn't start the fun without me did you?"

"Course not Julia," Ben grinned offering her a beer.

"Yeah yeah, I'm sure." She took the drink without opening it. "Where's Brent?"

"At the pool table whoopin up on some younger boys. Go show 'em how it's done. And bend over real good okay?"

Julia rolled her eyes and shoved him playfully before walking off. Rumors about her and Trevor had thankfully died out right after their picture had gone around. Brent had been reasonable when she explained everything to him and they were back on solid ground. Although some crazy part of her wished she and Trevor was still on talking terms, she couldn't be any happier.

Trevor was so happy no one was bothering him. He was able to take a shower, freshen up and throw on a comfortable pair of jeans and a tank top. Even in something as simple as what he wore, Trevor looked good with his strong chest and muscular arms. After running a brush through his hair, he laid back in bed, listening to the tunes on his iPod. However, the first five songs that cycled through were all of his and Julia's favorite songs. They'd sit there with their heads pressed together, trying to jam off of one iPod.

Even with the good memory, he frowned and turned on his side. They'd been good at avoiding each other and he rarely saw her around campus. It was better that way.

Downstairs ...

"Ben, where is Trevor?" asked Crystal, the same, tall blond who was at the skating rink.

"Yeah, where is he?" chimed in another girl, a brunette with curly hair that bounced on her shoulders. Both of them were wearing less clothes than usual; miniskirts and very revealing and tight tops. "Somebody ought to go get him for us ... please." She bat her eyes in Ben's direction.

Ben looked down at the girls. "Save the eye-batting for someone it works on." Groupies. He'd get Trevor if it meant he didn't have to deal with them. He liked a little chase with his girls; not the easy and eager to please girls in front of him. He nodded briefly and took a big gulp from his beer before heading up the stairs to open the door to Trevor's room.

"Your girlfriends are lookin' for you. Why don't you come keep 'em entertained and out of my face?"

~

Julia leaned against the wall watching Brent take his shot. She'd walked in during the middle of his turn and had decided against interrupting just yet. She smiled as a look of concentration stole across his features. He was a beautifully made man and his competitiveness could be quite the turn on sometimes. He pocketed three balls with ease before slipping up. Julia strode toward him as he stepped back from the table.

His eyes lit up when they landed on her; taking in the skirt and off the shoulders quarter sleeved shirt she wore. Julia was a beautiful woman, one he was dying to claim as his own. So far she'd held him at a distance but every day she was letting him in a little morning.

"Look at my good thing," he greeted holding out his arms to her.

She laughed and walked willingly into his arms for a warm hug. Man, he gave the best hugs. She sighed softly when he nuzzled her ear and placed a brief kiss there. "You look good baby. Real good."

Trevor was almost half asleep on his bed, nodding off every so often until the song changed and another memory assaulted him. He had to remind himself to load up a whole bunch of new songs because this was torturous.

He looked up when his door opened and pulled out one of the plugs from his ear. "No ... please, come on man; not those two again." Crystal and Meghan were awfully easy girls looking to score with an athlete frat boy; namely him.

"You need to come down. They're asking for you and real bad. Besides, what the hell you doing up here? Party man ... there will be more hot chicks if you don't want Crystal or Meghan."

Trevor didn't want to go but he'd been avoiding as man house parties as possible. Not tonight ... if it was Ben coming to get him; it'd be someone else. He tucked his iPod in the first drawer of his nightstand and headed downstairs.

Before he was going to deal with those girls, he bypassed them and headed straight for the kitchen where he grabbed another beer. When he passed the game room and saw Julia he almost dropped his beer. Luckily, he had good reflexes and caught it before a drop spilled.

"Thank you. You look pretty good yourself." She ran her fingers up along his chest before taking the pool stick from his hands. "You are going to let me get a few shots in right?" she asked with a cute smile.

Brent was already nodding, spinning her so that her back was pressed into his chest. He held out his hand with the beer in it, waiting for someone to take it away so he'd be free to touch Julia. "I'm just going to make sure you remember how to do this," he said softly in her ear.

She didn't bother to tell him that she'd played pool numerous times before. He was looking for an excuse to touch her and she'd let it pass this time. Plus, with him behind her she didn't have to worry about anyone trying to look up her skirt.

"Hey Trev, you alright man?" Ryan asked patting him on the back before setting to work mixing another drink.

"Yeah, I'm good," said Trevor turning his eyes from Julia and thankfully so because she and Brent were really cozy. What guy what's to see his ex-girlfriend with another guy, especially when feelings were still there. "Just still tired from this week but it's the weekend. I'll get to relax some."

He returned the pat on Ryan's back and escaped into the adjoining room where the couches were set up to face a large screen TV, which was off. Instead there was music playing and Trevor took a seat. A few seconds later, Crystal and Meghan found him.

"Trevor," they cheered and each one of them sat on either side of him. "You still haven't called me, you know. I want you to take me out on that date. I mean, you're single now so what's the deal?" asked Crystal.

Trevor shrugged and placed the beer can to his mouth.

"Don't berate him Crys; can't you see he's tired. Do you need something Trevor? I'm good with my hands; what about a massage?" She gave him a flirty glance.

Trevor just groaned. "I just want to chill out, listen to some music." He drank again from his can.

"Hey Marx!" Brent called out a few minutes after he saw Trevor disappear from the kitchen. He hadn't paid him much attention since he'd pledged into the fraternity but after that picture of him and Julia, he'd paid a lot more attention to him. He needed to prove something to both himself and Trevor and this was the perfect time to do it. "Pool time."

Julia ruthlessly forced herself not to react. How had she forgotten that Trevor now lived in the fraternity house? She hadn't seen him when she'd come in and she'd mistakenly assumed he wasn't there. The last thing she wanted to do was face him at that particular moment, especially when Brent breathing down her neck. She knew he wasn't 100% over the whole text message issue.

Great. This was already turning out into another swell night. Oh what'd he give to just disappear for the weekend. He needed to get off campus like now but he had no excuse and no where to be, especially because it was close to midterms. Everyone pretty much stayed on campus during big test weeks.

Chugging the last of his beer, he handed the can to Meghan and stalked over to the pool room.

"What's up?" he asked, wanting to avoid all contact with Julia but it would be rude of him not to greet her. So he settled for a small wave and a, "Hi Julia."

"Hey Trevor," she returned casually as she rubbed the cue over the tip of the pool stick, grateful for a good reason to avoid eye contact.

"Let's shoot a few rounds of pool." Brent didn't ask, just passed a pool stick across the table to Trevor. "I hear you're good at it. I wanna see some skill."

Julia knew firsthand how good Trevor was. He'd been the one to teach her how to play. She felt no need to announce that, however. She'd never really filled Brent in on her history with Trevor. They weren't dating so he wasn't exactly entitled to all of that information. She also knew it had the potential to cause some trouble so she just didn't bring it up.

Ever since that picture circulated campus, Brent had took sudden interest in Trevor, trying to get to know him and into his mind. He knew what it was all about so to avoid all problems, he just satisfied Brent's curiosity but didn't share if it was too personal. Especially all questions concerning him and Autumn. Trevor just didn't touch that topic at all.

"It's been a while but sure, let's shoot," said Trevor, reaching for the cue, his bare muscling flexing as he moved it over the tip of his pool stick. After the balls were set up, Trevor smashed the white ball into all the colored ones and they exploded to every corner of the table.

"Stripes," he called, when he landed the orange striped on in. He took four more shots before he missed.

Julia fought to keep her eyes off of Trevor's muscles. He'd always been well built but he was a man now. A man with very defined muscles. She swallowed and averted her eyes, giving Brent her attention as she started to hand him the stick. He closed her hand back around it and turned her back around.

"We're a team babe."

She nervously wet her lips with the tip of her tongue as she obediently assumed the slightly bent position with Brent behind her, guiding her form. She couldn't help but remember the times when it had been Trevor behind her with his arms around her, pressing against her. Her eyes closed against her will as the memories assaulted her.

"Julie? You alright?"

Her eyes opened and she nodded. "Sorry about that. You're a little distracting," she teased to divert attention from her momentary distraction.

"Oh Trevor, you play so good," said Meghan, who appeared out of nowhere and now stood beside as he leaned against the wall, his eyes on the green fabric of the pool table. Why was it so hard to look at Julia and even harder to see her in the arms of another guy? He remembered when it was him. He was the one that had taught her to play. She used to giggle and playfully push him away from behind her, before snagging his shirt until he leaned against her back. Not to mention what they'd done on the pool table at his house after the game.

He shuddered when fingers strolled over his arms. "You must really work out a couple times of week," said Meghan before Trevor pushed her hand away gently.

"Meghan, can you grab me a beer? Do you mind?" he asked knowing she'd jump at the chance to fill his request.

"Of course. I'll be right back," she said, purposefully turning so her butt would brush against him.

Julia regained her focus and took aim, netting four balls before she saw Meghan sink her claws into Trevor. Her next shot wasn't quite as smooth and though it knocked a ball or two, nothing went in. It had been one thing to have Trevor snatched away by Autumn, but a completely new insult to see Meghan crawling all over him.

She couldn't deny a small spurt of happiness when Trevor swatted her hand away but it was extinguished when Meghan purposely rubbed herself against Trevor. She clenched her teeth and turned in Brent's arms to smile up at him.

"Mmm, good shot."

"That was all you," he countered with a grin.
