Welcome to Metropolis Cove, the newest roleplaying town. Register your character and begin your adventure! Invite your friends to join the fun!

It is the year 2510 and a war between the known and the unknown had just caused the complete annihilation of a city. For days, you could hear the desolate cries of the residents who could not leave even with the thick smog and rubble littering the streets. Many people died especially the adults who sacrificed their own life to save their children. They heard of a place, a refuge to take their children. It was an abandoned warehouse, in the middle of the city – now known as the slums. Among the massive amounts of children ranging from newborn to teenager were five special thinkers who could not bear the thought of ever leaving. All of them, somehow, were connected – mind, body and soul. Night after night, they would commune together in the hallway drawing along the paint chipped walls, with an old box of crayons, a vision of their future home would be. The buildings were taller, the homes more lavish and people of all races, all ethnicities, of all cultures would be welcome. Ten years later … The headline on the Daily Metro read: Metropolis Cove, a city rebuilt, a society restored.

Sitting across from Pippa, Artemis studied her expression for a moment, not exactly knowing how to go about what he wanted to tell her. He frowned lightly, annoyed that they were not exactly talkative when away from each other's bedroom. He wondered why it was a little harder this time. Perhaps the separation since their last move? He cleared his throat, watching her pick at the fries on her plate. "Do you like living here so far?" Nice question, moron.

Popping a french fry into her mouth, Pippa looked over at Artem, her brows raised, as though surprised he'd spoken.

Her elbows on the table, she lightly brushed away a few strands of hair that the wind picked up and drew across her face.
"Yeah, I'd say so. Lots to do. Lots to occupy. I haven't really settled just yet." She smiled softly at him, before popping another fry into her mouth.
"You?"

Artemis nodded and lowered his head to sip his drink. He'd received more word from his guardian, confirming it was her. Of course he couldn't listen to the man that this woman he'd been spending nights and days with could possibly do such a thing. She just wasn't the type. Still, Artemis found himself studying her carefully but turned his head away when she looked up at him.

She noticed his distance, and her brow furrowed with ideas of what she could have done ro said wrong. Leaning a bit closer, she placed her hand on his knee, slightly worried that he wouldn't look her in the eye.
"Whats up?" She prodded gently, searching his face.

His eyes turned back to her and he scanned her face as if looking for any hint of lies that his guardian warned him about her. Nothing except pools of chocolate filled with concern. He sighed and reached up to cup her cheek. "Nothing..." He leaned forward and kissed her forehead. "Come on. Eat so we can go ride some rides."

She wasn't entirely satisfied with his reply, knowing that sooner or later his thoughts would spill. And maybe it'd be best if said occasion wasn't in a public place, depending on the severity of it. Her thoughts and ideas of wjhat could be on his mind ranged drastically, but she didn't breech the subject of any.

"I'm finished." She answered good-naturedly, having been softened slightly at his touch. She gracefully stood, adjusting the band of her jeans to a more comfortable, low-rise section on her hips.

Artemis nodded, sobering only slightly as he placed his arm around her waist and led her out to the entrance.

"Mmm, onion rings," Jillian said, nearly drooling at the thought. She was much hungrier than she'd thought. "But fries are good too. So it doesn't matter.

"You're about to die from taste bud overload," he laughed, parking in a spot across the street from L'Hamburge and heading over there with her. "They make the best Texan style burger ever. They come with onion rings, my favorite with this spicy ketchup/mayo sauce." He licked his lips. "I'm ready to get down with some good food."

"That's the best way to go," she returned with a smirk as they walked inside. The scents of delicious food bombarded her as they entered and she felt as if she were going to die from just the smells alone. The thought had her feeling a bit greedy but it couldn't be helped. "You're making me even hungrier," she warned when he gave a description of the food.

"Hi Heath, welcome back," said a woman, leaving the podium to come greet him with a huge hug.

Heath just simply laughed and patted the older woman's back gently. "Hi Fran. I'm back ... no surprise there," he replied and stepped over a bit to introduce his dinner company. "I want you to meet Jay. We work at the base together but I wanted to bring her to the place eatery in town. I had to come here first."

Fran reached around Jay, giving her a surprising hug. "Welcome dear. Alright, let me take you to your seats." She grabbed two menus and headed over to a table for two nestled in a corner.

"Nice to meet you." Jillian wasn't used to the open show of affection but she made herself return the hug without flinching. Fran had meant nothing by it and she had since learned to read people very well, enough to know when and when not to retreat.

She followed behind Heath as Fran led them to a table.

"So our special today is our Medittarean seafood burger made with salmon, shrimp and ..." she paused, shaking her head as Heath made faces. "Alright, I was only telling them to the lady. I know all you want is beef. You should try something different you know. I've never strayed you wrong."

Heath smiled but handed back the menu politely.

"Fine Heath. I'll get you a Texan style burger," she sighed and turned to Jillian.

"On the texas toast, please ... and onion rings I love so much."

"...with a root beer. I know Heath. Now settle down so I can talk to this sweet, beautiful lady," said Fran, turning her back to him.

Jillian smiled, the light interaction between Fran and Heath was amusing, especially his silent stubbornness. She flashed a brief smile at Fran when she heard her words although she felt the compliment stretched the truth a bit. "I'm actually a meat kinda girl myself so I might have to copy Heath on this one, especially with the onion rings. I'd like a coke instead though."
