It is the year 2510 and a war between the known and the unknown had just caused the complete annihilation of a city. For days, you could hear the desolate cries of the residents who could not leave even with the thick smog and rubble littering the streets. Many people died especially the adults who sacrificed their own life to save their children. They heard of a place, a refuge to take their children. It was an abandoned warehouse, in the middle of the city – now known as the slums.
Among the massive amounts of children ranging from newborn to teenager were five special thinkers who could not bear the thought of ever leaving. All of them, somehow, were connected – mind, body and soul. Night after night, they would commune together in the hallway drawing along the paint chipped walls, with an old box of crayons, a vision of their future home would be. The buildings were taller, the homes more lavish and people of all races, all ethnicities, of all cultures would be welcome.
Ten years later … The headline on the Daily Metro read: Metropolis Cove, a city rebuilt, a society restored.

The game started and Myalene was really quick with her feet, stepping, twirling and dancing along with the music without even breaking a sweat yet.
SJ had her fingers crossed watching her man, who was just as impressive. "Come on baby, you can do it," she uttered to herself.

Dominic watched, impressed, as Myalene skillfully danced on the squares. "Uh oh, Breandan. You're in trouble."
The redhead laughed. "It just started, Dom. Shut up."

With all the video game conventions and owning the game at home, Myalene had plenty of practice. A small crowd began to gather around the competing pair.
SJ was nervously biting her lower lip, hoping that Breandan would beat her best friend.

"Nope. I got my happy feet on ... this is like a walk in the park," she answered, keeping focused on the screen and the changing steps. "You can quit when you want. I really won't make fun of you forever if you lose."
SJ held back a giggle.

Dominic heaved a great sigh. "Looks like we're going to be here forever," he laughed. "Breandan, hurry up and lose already. We're never going to go on any rides."

"Yeah, yeah," Breandan said, his eyes on the screen. But suddenly, something happened, and his foot slipped...
"Holy!" he yelped, falling off of the mini-stage.

SJ flew to Breandan's side, helping him into a sitting position and making sure he didn't hurt himself.
But Myalene, she stopped shortly after him to burst out laughing. "Brean...Breanda..." she couldn't stop laughing. "Oh my gosh, are you okay?"

Breandan blew out a breath of mock frustration. "I was just about to get in the zone," he moaned.
Dominic, doubled over in laughter, shook his hair. "You're ridiculous, man! Didn't I say it was coming?"

"Well, goes to show you not to talk smack," she laughed, leaning against Dominic's shoulder but still laughing. She placed her face against his neck, just a small excuse to smell him again.
"Well now that it's over, can we get on some rides?" asked SJ, helping Breandan to his feet.

Dominic, noticing that Myalene was so close to him, took a second to rub her arm in appreciation. "Good job," he murmured in her ear.
"I think that'd be a good idea," Breandan stretched.

She felt a tickle in her ear and held back a different type of giggle. "Let's get on those dual coasters cause I really want to ..."
Myalene turned around when she heard a crack of thunder in the air and saw that suddenly the sky had darkened.
"What the heck? Wasn't it just sunny out?" she asked the group.

Dominic frowned. "Yeah, it was..." he trailed off, looking at the sky in concern.
"I'm no weatherman," Breandan began, "But this looks kinda bad. We should probably go..."

SJ frowned. "Messing with you two, we totally lost the chance to get on a coaster. I was real excited about it."
Suddenly a voice over the loud speaker came on, stating they were evacuating the theme park due to severe inclement weather.
"Hmm, I better touch base with my staff and find out what's going on," said Myalene.
