It is the year 2510 and a war between the known and the unknown had just caused the complete annihilation of a city. For days, you could hear the desolate cries of the residents who could not leave even with the thick smog and rubble littering the streets. Many people died especially the adults who sacrificed their own life to save their children. They heard of a place, a refuge to take their children. It was an abandoned warehouse, in the middle of the city – now known as the slums.
Among the massive amounts of children ranging from newborn to teenager were five special thinkers who could not bear the thought of ever leaving. All of them, somehow, were connected – mind, body and soul. Night after night, they would commune together in the hallway drawing along the paint chipped walls, with an old box of crayons, a vision of their future home would be. The buildings were taller, the homes more lavish and people of all races, all ethnicities, of all cultures would be welcome.
Ten years later … The headline on the Daily Metro read: Metropolis Cove, a city rebuilt, a society restored.

There was a bit of traffic on their way to the theater so the girls just continued to chat. "But besides the little problem from earlier, are you happy to have Ace back in your life?"

Krix shoved her hands in her pockets as they walked inside. "Oh heck yeah... I'm very happy to have him back. I love Ace more than anything in my life." They stood in line. "I want to marry him."

"Really? That fast ... wow," remarked Sonia, raising an eyebrow to that. Marriage wasn't something Sonnie was thrilled about; just giving up a part of yourself and conform your life to another. She made a 'eck' sound, eyes moving to see the current movie listings.

"Anything funny," said Sonia pointing to a few titles. "So um, have you discussed getting married or were you too busy doing naughty bedroom activities?"

Krix rolled her eyes. "Well... We discussed it." She frowned. "He said we could go to the City Hall and apply for the marriage license. And then he gets antsy about it."

Krix didn't try to agree. "Well... it's a little difficult but since I love him more than anything, I have to take him for all that he is." She smiled, shrugging. "Isn't that enough?"

"You know I have mad love for you. And if you ever get married, even if its to, him, I'd be honored to be apart of your wedding," said Sonia. "So do you want to see that Hancock movie or Wall-E. I'm leaning more to see Wall-E ... it looks really cute."
