Welcome to Metropolis Cove, the newest roleplaying town. Register your character and begin your adventure! Invite your friends to join the fun!

It is the year 2510 and a war between the known and the unknown had just caused the complete annihilation of a city. For days, you could hear the desolate cries of the residents who could not leave even with the thick smog and rubble littering the streets. Many people died especially the adults who sacrificed their own life to save their children. They heard of a place, a refuge to take their children. It was an abandoned warehouse, in the middle of the city – now known as the slums. Among the massive amounts of children ranging from newborn to teenager were five special thinkers who could not bear the thought of ever leaving. All of them, somehow, were connected – mind, body and soul. Night after night, they would commune together in the hallway drawing along the paint chipped walls, with an old box of crayons, a vision of their future home would be. The buildings were taller, the homes more lavish and people of all races, all ethnicities, of all cultures would be welcome. Ten years later … The headline on the Daily Metro read: Metropolis Cove, a city rebuilt, a society restored.

Alix tried to hold back the whimpers as he eased her to her feet. Her entire body was becoming one throbbing mass of pain. She just wanted day one to be finished so she could rest her tired body and regroup. There was an end goal however and she'd do anything to accomplish it. In the end it would all be worth it and that was all that mattered.

She forced herself to put one foot in front of the other and let herself lean almost completely on Sam. Everything started now and while she might not be at her most attractive, it wouldn't hurt to let him get familiar with her body, used to touching her.

She clung to him just a little as he helped set her in the car. Her breathing was labored and her throat burning. She just wanted a moment to reorient herself and that was easier when she had him to hold on to.

"Sorry," she gasped. "Just need a second."

Sam bent down in between Alix and the car door. He felt so bad for her and hoped whatever help he can get for her would at least help the physical wounds heal. He doubt her emotional ones would be easy. He was determined to be there for her and assist her through these bad times. She said it herself, she had no one else and of all people, Alix was brought to Sam.

"Take all the time you need. I'm right here. I'm not going anywhere until you don't want me anymore and then, I might have to just stick around to make sure you're okay," he said in his soft spoken tone.

After a few minutes, he rose to his feet, entering his car on the driver side before starting the engine. While they sat, Sam managed to get a hold of his friend at the hospital and she was more than willing to help Sam.

Reaching across her body, Sam secured the seat belt over her body and gave her a gentle smile.

"You're in good hands and that I can promise."

She was grateful when he didn't pull away, instead allowing her to hold onto him. She savored and the ease his personality would bring to this. He was much too kind, too trusting. It would work in her favor; cover her even if she made mistakes. She wouldn't of course. That wouldn't be tolerated.

She immediately turned her head to the side when he drew the seatbelt across her, keeping it from resting against her neck. She tried to give him a reassuring smile but it was more of a weak grimace.

"I guess I have to trust you on that," she whispered and settled deeper into the seat.

Sam turned his big coffee eyes on her with a grin. "You won't be disappointed, you have my word. I just want to focus on making you physically well and helping you rebuild whatever you may have lost. I may not know the situation or what you're going through but I assure you, if you need anything, I will help you within my power. If you give me a little trust, I can handle that."

Placing the car in gear, he backed out into the street, heading toward the hospital. He ocassionally glance to his side and took a peak of her relaxing her body against the seat, eyes closed. He really hoped he could help her.

It was only a couple hours of waiting at the hospital and with the help of his friend, Alix was able to walk out with some medicine to ease the pain while she healed under his care.

His mind didn't even struggle against him. He was willing to bring Alix back to his house and allow her to occupy the room for the meantime. He had no other plan and it would be easier to protect her under his roof. Plus, she'd have a warm place to stay, a bed to sleep on and food to eat. She would be comfortable during her recuperation and that was easy on Sam's heart. To think, if he hadn't been there tonight, she might have ended up in a worse position.

After they were on their way, Sam debated whether he'd tell Alix he was offering a room in his home. He wasn't sure if she'd accept or decline but it was worth a shot. So instead of tell her anything, he drove the distance it was to his home, while Alix dozed in and out of sleep.
