I was reading on warseer that the head of Lokir Fellheart is rumored to match the standard masthead of the corsair regiment shown as one of the sneak peek pics.

I wonder what the "awesome new repeater handbows" are. Nearly anything is better than the current repeater crossbows.

Is this how the Dark Elves are being redisgned as a whole? If so, then I like it, it gives them a Pirate-ish, or more seafaring look that's lacking from any of the other races. I like the Cthulhu banner, that's a nice touch. I'd laugh if their next Monster looked like Shoggoth.

Well the corsairs have always been pirates, so it makes sense for them. As for the rest of the army, I'm not sure. Some of the fluff in the new High Elf book makes it sound as if the dark elves will have a slightly different feel in this edition. I think they'll be interesting.

It seems that the Dark Elves are being designed to be more of an offensive army, sorely needed since the previous lists encouraged defensive play which doesn't make much sense fluff-wise.

I think we will see less and less Dark Elf armies with spearmen units - corsairs will become the 'norm' for the standard core choice. It's hard to justify taking spearmen instead of an awesome offensive unit that has lots of attacks and can be kitted out for multiple roles.
