You now need to push on from this and advertise and use others services just to get some activity to your board. i think you have done very well to gain this amount of members because of your boards topic. There are lots of wrestling fans out there, you just need to get out to them.
I would advice joining some other wrestling boards and post around there with your advertising signature and link in your sig, this will gain activity because lots of fans are seeing the link.
Number Of Posts4/10Your members have posted 1195 posts which on average is about 18 posts a members, this isnt the best stat in the world but it can easily be improved, you need to keep the active members at your board, keep them interested by adding things to the boards and hosting competitions with prizes and things on that sort of line. 30 of your 66 members have 4 posts or less, get these back by a mass pm or by talking to them on other boards. Just 1 or two posts can make all the differance between a active and a inactive board. Looking on the bright side, you have some active members heading for 100 posts which is very nice to see.
Quality Of StaffAdmin5/5You have one admin who looks like they put a lot of effort on the board, way above the next highest post count and is generally on the board most of the time. I think you will only need 1 admin ever on this board because you will always have a rather small community on a board like this so you dont have as much to do as some other types of boards.
Mods1/5You have 1 moderator who isnt the most active. She has 11 posts which is not good at all, you want the Moderators to be posting topics and keeping up the activity, i would ask one of the top members to become a moderator because they are constantly on the board posting and enjoying themselves which is good. I would either demote or pm the current moderator unless they have a decent excuss to why they havent been active and they should start to post if you keep them on.
Other StaffN/AYou have no other staff which is very dissapointing, you need to get something original into your board to make member come into the board. I personally think you need to gain a few event staff to create a wrestling arena and rankings system where people battle others to become the best wrestler on the board. These event staff could devise a system where you can by things with virtual money from the money hack you can get on IF and certain other things, i will explain in the Activity section.
Apearance & LayoutAppearance7/15I have to say, i have always loved the skin you are using, its light and dark at the same time yet its not to dull and it doesnt burn your eyes in the process. The thing thats makes the appearance go downhill is the graphics, you need to get a set that goes with thsi skin or maybe get a completely custom skin with a custom graphics set just so the board looks more professional with matching buttons. i like the banner you are using, it attracts members in just because its big and colorful. I do like this section on your board but you need completely different graphics set or change the skin so that the graphics fit the skin. You just need to change these, thats what lets this section down a lot.
Layout8/10Your layout is simple and i like it. Your board isnt the most active and you need to get the sections which are not used as much more active. Get a moderator who posts topics in new sections, this will gain activity because members rather post in already made topics then make there own. Its quicker and easier for the member (because they are lazy
) But you need to do this. Also, make a welcome section up the top of the board, this will bring in lots and lots of activity for new members. Its will also help the new members get to know the community a little bit better.
Activity1/10This is what is killing the board, i think you need something original onto the board. I briefly explained a wrestling ranking syatem, illl try and explain it more.
The aim of a member is to become the best wrestler there is. First, get a money system, then add some moves from the wrestling world into the shop. As you know, each move has different stats and members can buy different moves to make there player better.
Then they can challenge people to go up the ranking system.
The money system will help because to gain virtual money, you have to post on the board, this will get the 'hardcore' wrestling fans active on your board because people wanna fight and be the best on a board.
I think this sort of idea could make your board so active, but at the minute, its needs someone else apart from the admin to create topics and help him out.
Overall32/6549% or There is a lot of work to do on your board. But i think the amount of effort already put into the board, you can make this work. First, you need to get a few new moderators in to keep the board active and also help advertise.
- Second, get onto other wrestling boards and stay active, also use services others give to gain activity.
- Get another button set or get a custom wrestling skin.
- Set up the money system and set up some competitions.
- Create something original (like the idea above) to gain major activity.
I know this will not be easy but i think you can do it and the board will be great when i next review it.
