Getting used to it

Vashti realized the table with the butt end in many senses of the word was going to be a lot quieter. She breathed a sigh of relief. She was glad for the quiet as the class picked up. The teacher wanted students to conjugate a bunch of "er" verbs. This was in the "good work if you could get it" category. Though Vashti knew enough to admit not to liking grammar, she really didn't mind it.
