Marvel Comics is starting to suck big. They repeat the same plots OVER AND OVER AND OVER again. Jean Grey can only die so many times before even the fans want to shoot her in the head in the hopes that it'll be the last time.

There we go... a proper start for this thread, although a random one.

I have to agree there. The only Marvel books I read are Young Avengers and Runaways. Though I'll occasionally pick up the odd Ult. Spiderman, thats about it. I heard on their podcast that Marvel did a cross over with the soap opera 'Guiding Light' which is....weird o.O I've already lost interest with Civil War, seeing as it never comes out on time.

I'm reading more DC books, but I'm still pissed off with Dan Dideo. He said there will be no more Babs/Nightwing pairing as long as he's EIC. And he's publicly said he wanted to kill of Dick, but couldn't b/c of the fans. Plus, the whole Batgirl turned evil thing didn't make any sense. Cass always seemed to have a unique form of dislexia and never learned to read, yet OYL in Robin it's revealed Batman taught Robin and her to write in Navaho(sp?)

.....um, ok....Other that one mess up, the new Robin team seems to be doing a fair job. BOP is good as always(hssss. Dark Vengeance. lol)...I sadly dropped Nightwing after the whole Jason Todd mutation thing, but I'm thinking of picking it back up now that I hear Marv is writting it. And love Detective Comics. Paul Dini alone got me to pick it up, but it's the art that keeps me skimming through the pages after I'm done reading. I pick up Teen Titans sporadicly now and I'm going to try and pick up the Spirit/Batman crossover when it comes out. I'm as huge Will Eisner fan and I think Darwyn Cooke will definitely do Eisners character justice, so I can't wait.

What is everyone else reading?

The only Marvel Book I've bought in ages was that issues where Captain America is killed. I know he'll be back sooner or later, but still, when an icon like Captain America, Superman, Batman or Wonder Woman are killed, I'm get the urge to own the book.

DC is the only company I'm regularly buying. Robin of course is one of the better book, because they finally are writing the title character as he's supposed to be. I'm not any happier about what they did to Batgirl though as you are. But at least Teen Titans is explaining that her evilness is the result of mind-altering drugs (its a cheap excuse, but I'll take it). Birds of Prey kinda sucks now, because they have all these new random character which is becoming over stuff, an annoying Mary Sue character (Misfit), and they lost Black Canary, who I adore because she's one of the bigs badass character in the DCU.

Dan Dido needs to go to hell and die for all his Editor Mandates. Trying to kill of Nightwing, turning Batgirl evil, killing Superboy, and not to mention killing off dozens of popular character so that he can introduce a controversial version of that character (i.e. Batwoman, Question, etc...) We can only hope Didlo (or dildo as I call him) leaves soon and we get someone who isn't a power hungry ass.
