We are currently taking both canons and originals! Please refer to the list if you'd like a canon. Remember to reserve your preferred canon, you will then have one week to post an application.
LOCATION: Mostly in Great Britain (including Scotland, France, and a bit of Wales), as it is the area affected in the plot, however there are other open areas.
YEAR: 1996. Harry Potter is in his sixth year at Hogwarts.
PLOT UPDATE: The spell has just started taking affect. Witches and wizards across Europe are completely baffled and they've started to talk. People are finding that they aren't alone - every witch and wizard is going through the same changes. Slowly but surely, more and more people are pairing up with the same sex.

WHEN REGISTERING- Please register with first and last name in all caps.
POTTER, HARRY; Harry Potter; VoldysBabe77 = ew. - If you're unsure of the character you'll be playing but still want to register, do so with your own name/alias and an admin can change your user name once you've posted an application.
- Check through the canon list to make sure the character is available, then reply stating your own name or alias and which canon you would like to reserve. You have one week to post an application after reserving; if an application fails to be posted within given time then the canon will be opened again. If you are unable to finish the application within a week, for whatever reason, PM an admin and they will consider extending the time frame.
BASIC- Be respectful. Not just to the staff, to everyone! If you’re having some sort of argument, please take it off the site because we will not tolerate any sort of cyber-fighting here. If you have a complaint about a member’s actions, then please PM an admin so that they can take care of it.
- INACTIVITY: About every month or so, there will be an activity check. Those who have not been active within the past month will be added to a list, posted here, and emailed. These members may either reply to said post or reply to their email to keep their characters, otherwise their accounts will be deleted. Members who post in the Absences forum will be the exception.
- Absolutely NO homophobic, racial or sexist put-downs of any kind will be tolerated. This includes the derogatory use of the words “gay”, “dyke” “retard”, “jew”, etc. Use your common sense here. Loose Ends was created specifically for homosexual pairings; if you disagree with homosexuals for any reason, we don’t want to hear it. If it bothers you, then leave! We take in all members here – no matter what race, orientation, or sex. If you cause trouble, we’ll just ban you, end of story.
The exception is to RPing – it’s understandable when some characters might not agree with certain relationships, sexes, or races.
- The whole of the site, both in character and off topic, is R rated. However, if there is going to be graphic violence or sexual content in any RP thread, please make note of it in the topic description.
- Please don’t tell the staff how to run the site. You can make suggestions in the apt forum and tell us what is working and what is not, but it’s our decision to change things. Don’t tell us to re-do the site with a brand-new plot-line, that’s something that we would suggest and ask all members about.
Also, please keep in mind that the admins make decisions then tell all members at once – not just one person over a PM. We will make announcements when the time comes.
IN CHARACTER POSTING- This is a moderate to advanced RPG.
- NO God-Moding. This includes when you assume your character knows what the other character is thinking.
- All RPing is done in past tense and in third person. The exception would be to the character’s thoughts, words and, in the correct forums, photojournals, diaries and owl letters.
- RP threads should be 2 full paragraphs (meaning at least 4 sentences per paragraph) at minimum. Challenge yourself!
- NO net-speak while RPing! I’m sorry, I just can’t see the Dark Lord saying “ur r a lzr” or “ur azz is m9, skr” to the Boy Who Lived. Please use full words and sentences.
- Please use correct grammar, punctuation and spelling to the best of your ability while RPing. You can always give your posts a quick run-through on Word before posting them up; it should catch most of your mistakes. We understand that not everyone is perfect, but you should put some effort into your posts.
- Bold, underlined, italicized, edited sized, and font changes are okay. Please do not change the color of your RP posts, or edit it so the test is overly large or to the point where it is un-readable. Small text is okay but keep in mind that some people might have a harder time reading edited text.
CHAT ROOM AND CBOX RULES- NO anonymous users. It causes trouble and you should really have no need to sign on as anyone but yourself. Use your name or your name plus your character’s name(s).
- No spamming!
