Name: Genesis
Age: four years
Gender: female

Appearance: Among wolves, Genesis is the black sheep of her species when it comes to appearance. For a female she is pretty average in size. From head to rump she is roughly five feet in length and weighs a meager 130 lbs. From the ground to her shoulders she stands slightly over three feet in height and her tail is a few inches shy of being a full two feet. Her ears are a bit pointier and narrower than most wolves, which is possibly the result of a birth defect while in her mother’s womb. Her paws are somewhat on the small side, yet they fit perfectly with her long, graceful legs. Genesis’ facial features are timeless and feminine; it’s easy to determine that she is a female not only by scent but by appearance as well. Beneath her heavy fur coat and skin resides lean, well-toned muscles.

Her entire pelt is a canvas representing every color of the wolf at its most vibrant. The only dominant color is the stark white fur that stretches along her underbelly and beneath her chin, forming a spade-shaped crest on her breast. White also masks her mouth and strokes up and encircles her light golden eyes. From the tip of her nose and upward tan and mahogany blend and dominated what was left untouched by white. Light amber blushes the sides of her neck and her cheeks and from the back of her head black pools down onto her back. Between the black that blankets her spine and the white that covers her stomach, there is a small crest of tan that starts from the bottom of her ribcage and circles around to the other side. This color also covers her tail. While her hind legs are all white, her front legs are a mix of both dark and light amber, and as they descend to her paws become an ash gray. Silver hair streaks her visage throughout.

Personality: Genesis has a very complex personality that at first is very hard to interpret, but over time you will find she is more of an acquired taste and get used to her outlandish mannerisms. She’s a very polite and charismatic sort of girl who seems somewhat laid back and has the appearance of looking comical. She actually isn’t as playful or as hyper as she looks, though when she’s in a good mood she finds it hard to stop fooling around. Genesis is one of those rare creatures that understand when there is a time to play and a time to be serious.

When she is serious, she’s someone who doesn’t like to mess around. Others don’t realize how personal she takes otherwise small offenses and thus the offenders will always pay for their transgressions. She can be extremely brutal in both words and actions, a quality forced into her by her family. By nature Genesis is a sweetheart, but in battle – either verbal or physical – she’s a demon.

Genesis is also quite cunning, a quality many never seem to guess about her. She’s extremely perceptive and prefers to meditate on everything before a hunt. However, since she has a short fuse, her plans can quickly disintegrate. She has very little patience, which is one of her more noticeable faults. Towards those she cares for she can be very clingy and is unafraid to show affection. Towards those she dislikes, she will not admit to any bad blood unless they entice her into a tantrum. She lives with no sense of regret and is quick to protect those abused for because of their weakness.

History: Genesis was the last-born and runt out of a litter of five. She was the offspring of the alphas of an extremely large pack a long ways away from Lachlan. Being the youngest and the most frail, Genesis was dependent on her siblings. There was Melek, her eldest sister; Khalon, her only brother and the second born, and then her sisters Lapis and Lazuli who both looked and acted alike. All five pups grew up with close bonds to each other, even though Lapis and Lazuli were the shyest ones in the group and didn’t like to play with their other siblings often. Melek was a natural born leader and Khalon, who also inherited that trait, was always constantly arguing with her. The other members of the pack thought that this was adorable, but to the pups it was the establishing of what would later prove to be a miniature hierarchy. Since Genesis was the smallest, she was considered the ‘omega’ among the other pups and was constantly teased for her weakness.

Genesis soon learned that her siblings were not ready to fully accept her and thus decided to depend on the adults for entertainment. The Betas, Machi and Lark, soon became her constant playmates. Machi, who was infertile, was happy to have a chance to play with a pup despite it not being of her blood. Lark, in turn, taught Genesis about hunting and tracking. She saw Machi and Lark as her real family, her own little pack within the pack and grew almost dependant on their attention. Her parents were relieved because they didn’t have the patience nor the kindness to deal with a child who the rest of the pack thought wouldn’t make it through the harshness of her first winter.

It was during her first winter that she lost Lapis and Lazuli. Her other siblings had gone to the river to play while she had stayed behind with Machi while the rest of the pack had went hunting. When the pack had returned her brother and sisters were still missing. It wasn’t until her parents finally agree to look for them that only Melek and Khalon returned. Melek told the pack how Lapis and Lazuli had fallen into the river through the ice and also how Khalon had frozen in terror. While the pack was gripped with sadness Genesis was completely apathetic towards the situation. Lapis and Lazuli were treasured because they would have made excellent additions to the pack once they were older. Genesis, who had been treated cruelly by the both of them, could find no remorse for them but decided to express a façade of sorrow through silence.

After the deaths of her sisters, Khalon was treated harshly for his lack of courage. The majority of the pack blamed and shunned him for the loss of Lapis and Lazuli. Genesis couldn’t help but feel a sense of pity for her brother and decided to try and befriend him. Even though they were of the same blood, they had never before interacted with each other in a positive way. Genesis saw this as her chance to make an ally within her family and the two of them soon became inseparable.

As the siblings became adults in the eyes of the pack they were given slightly different treatment. Eventually the members had forgotten about Khalon’s cowardice and he in turn resumed in being a pretentious, dominating annoyance. He still clashed with Melek, though it was more for the thrill of a challenge then to prove his dominance. Genesis, who had grown considerably up to this point, always watched these fights with intense fascination. In truth, she was studying the art of their rivalry and was attempting to learn the ways of conflict.

It wasn’t until three years after her sisters’ death that her intentions were made clear: Genesis challenged Melek, who had made Beta after defeating Machi, for her position. Melek had fallen in love with Lark and had removed Machi, saying that a female who couldn’t breed was useless to uphold a position in which she was supposed to. After Machi lost Melek drove her from the pack and assumed her place. Now that she could no longer hide behind Machi and Lark, Genesis became the omega of the pack and was constantly subject to abuse by the pack members – save for Khalon, who stuck close to her and did his best to protect her.

Genesis decided to take revenge for Machi and herself by challenging Melek for her position. This shocked every one, since they all believed Genesis knew her place and she rarely spoke out among them. Melek laughed at her but accepted the offer, thinking that her sister would yield quickly. All the pack members were surprised by how cruel Genesis was in that battle. While she had Melek pinned and tried to force her to submit, she accidentally snapped her neck and killed her. The minute Genesis realized what she had done she immediately backed away from the corpse in shock.

Melek’s death hit the pack hard, since she was by the most beloved of the alphas’ children. The alphas, so displeased by Genesis and her show of brute force, were fearful of the other destructive elements she would bring on the clan. Thus, they cast her away from the pack, discarding her and making her a lone wolf. Khalon, who couldn’t bear to think of his sister suffer the cruelties of the world by herself, went with her against the wishes of their pack. He and Genesis argued bitterly about his decision, and she soon grew snappish and reclusive from him for a few days. No matter how hard she tried to shun him or convince him, by any means, to go back home, he wouldn’t.

Now they have come to Lachlan after a year of aimless wandering in hopes to call it home. Over the course of their trip Khalon and Genesis have had their disputes and a shift in hierarchy. Now Khalon is not only her brother, companion, and body guard but at her command as well. While she certainly doesn’t abuse this fact, it’s funny to see a female of her size dish out orders to someone of Khalon’s stature.
