Lachlan was on the brink of experiencing winter – and with the drops in temperature and the food beginning to go scarce, the pack needed to group together and form. True, they had not yet met each other yet (only he had met each of them, they only knew of the pack’s numbers) and even so, he was ready to have their first rally and to find out just who were the more dominant out of the pack.
One could say it was an experiment of sorts. Cælestis would agree with whoever would say that, but at the moment he was debating on calling them and assembling them by White Rock. It was all a matter of who would hear it first; he was not accustomed to waiting for wolves to arrive once his call had sounded. Even so, the first to arrive would be praised and then the whole experiment could begin. Despite the pack’s low numbers, he was mostly certain that it would be a success.
With his muzzle dipped towards the water, Cælestis eyed his reflection with an intense gaze. A young wolf stared back at him; the perfect mirror image of who he was as a wolf and he was quite impressed with his sheer size and stature. Wagging his tail lightly, he took a step away from where the stream began and climbed up the low rise that was the bank, flopping down in the shade and relaxing. This relaxed stance continued for a moment or so before he reached the decision to summon his members from where he was.
Of course, sheer laziness overtook him, but in an attempt to bid the demon gone, the male rose from his spot amidst the leaves and tilted his head backwards. A mournful wail escaped his half–parted jaws; rising and dipping in volume, then reaching its high peak and fading off into the distance. He repeated the sound again – making it louder before it, too, faded away and Cælestis was left with the silence. A yawn escaped his muzzle and he began to pace up and down the bank of the stream, waiting for any wolf within Lachlan’s proximity to arrive; newcomers and loners included.

At just the peak of the horizon the mottled form was probably visible. Fast to reaction, if it hadn’t been displayed before, even if his body was weak.. Inside his mouth he curled his tongue around his teeth a series of times to clean dead bugs from them. He’d simply been snacking. As fast as his weakened legs could he loped toward the Alpha.
He nosed some algae off the surface of the water, and cupped his tongue in order to drink some. The time he spent doing this was minimal though. After this, he simply turned his head to the alpha and sat. In truth, he had no idea why he’d reacted, probably the impulse brought on by some now far off memory. Nothing he could really, really recall. Tail flickered lightly, eyes casting both ways before relaxing again.
Lethargy seemed apparent in his actions, if one didn’t know he was just a relaxed albeit enthusiastic creature. "You called,” He stated, as it seemed typical for him to say the obvious. Toes splayed and then drew tightly together, though nothing more was done. There was importance in the air, of he could sense that. He didn’t know what, or why, but he knew.
Thin maw split in two, a barely audible yawn slipping through his throat before glancing around. If the others came like he had, there would be two females.. If he remembered correctly.

"NARRR!!!!" the sound rebounded through the area at a devastating rate sending a few close by birds shrieking alarm calls into the sky. Of course, those same birds probably felt a great deal of shame when they realized what had scared them so badly. Considering said fearsome beast was rolling around in a pile of fallen leaves, growling, and kicking like a crazy creature. As a sparrow settled back on a branch it tipped it’s head and stared at the wolf as she snapped her jaws plowing through her pile with her chest dragging against the ground, forelegs dragging to either side, her hind paws skidding in the dirt as she propelled herself with them alone.
Lucian’s jaws chomped down on a mouthful of leaves before her head jerked up in a sudden manner, her front coated with dirt and bits of leaf matter. Those perky ears of hers twitching frantically as the sound of a howl spread through the air like a ripple in a pond, shortly followed by another. A sound like a muffled squeaky yip escaped around her mouthful, and with a rather comical flail of her legs she jerked herself into motion, bouncing cheerfully in the direction of the call.
When she appeared, it was a thing that was rather laughable as she was still carrying her prize of leaves and looking quite pleased with herself. She barely even took into account the second, unknown wolf there as she stumbled and tripped up to them, her paws tangling ever so gracefully causing her to keel neatly over onto her side, half on her back. So she was there, legs sticking awkwardly in the air or braced against the ground, snorting around her leaves she gave a yap, "Here!!" or rather "HMMPHT!" to the normal listener, unless they could translate garbled wolf-leaf-ese.

The frozen ground allowed Selena to skate across the surface, and like everything she did she moved quickly and quietly. Her long ears stood at high alert, listening to the sounds of the forest. A squirrel hopped from branch to branch, while a doe and her fawn moved through the underbrush on stilted legs. Content that nothing was amiss, Selena allowed herself to listen only to the pounding beats of her paws hitting the frosted ground.
She had heard the call, sent out by the alpha male no doubt, and had rushed to find its origin. Swift as she was, she was quite some distance away, but the panic of being late kept her moving at a gallop. She hoped against hope that the alpha male, Selena still didn’t know his name, was not angry with her for their first meeting. The female grimaced; ruining the alpha’s hunt was not the prime way to start off in a new pack.
There was nothing to be done about that however, and perhaps if she was extra careful to stay silent unless directly spoken to she could become a full-fledged member of the pack. The willowy female was for a moment optimistic, and her tongue lolled out of her mouth as she ran. All was not lost…
Alas, this feeling of good will fled her when she reached the stream and noticed that three wolves – one being the alpha – had already assembled. Her heart dropped, and carefully she slinked in the group, careful to stay a bit farther away from the rest. She did not yet know if she was to be accepted in this meeting, and didn’t want to impose.
So for the time Selena held her tongue, waiting for the opportune moment to speak.
