>The Story of Annwn

For fifty years, the world has licked it's wounds. It has breathed easy.

And yet, Marik's son, born of both the Mornthay and Malshleth lines, has met an untimely end, and the child of the son, ascending the throne, dreams of a united Annwn, a new Kingdom of Andios, under his banner. The tribes of the steppes whisper of the second coming of Kitar. The Elves have rebuilt their army, and their navy stands strong as ever. The Dwarves have hammered weapons of war in the silence of their mountains for fifty years. The great kingdom of the Northmen has been quite for far too long, and the Merendi Coast fears another Great Migration. Dark things, better left undisturbed deep below have begun to stir.

The Great Archmagi of Meridyl, and your predecessor, Elquestor, through his syght, told of the 4th, and final Age. The Age of Apocalypse. Many scholars of history and religion now feel, the Age of Might may well have ended with the shattering of the Blood Sword.....

It would be wise to note that this set of rules contains nothing about character, or npc creation rules.

1. Posting

--Do try your best to post frequently, at least two times a week. It is a pain when someone is doing something with you, and you up and stop posting, leaving them stuck. Failure to post within a two week period, in a thread you joined, or started, without leaving some type of notice of your leave, will get you in trouble.

--Do not post anything pertaining to inappropriate material anywhere on this site. This includes various types of pornography, immense swearing, and extreme gore and violence. Romance is fine, but extremely mature content is prohibited.

--Do not post anything that is meant to put down, threaten, or scare someone, outside of the role play. This includes any type of insults, flaming, and the like.

--Keep your OOC or Out of Character posts to a minimum. This includes anything that doesn't pertain to the rp you're in. Do not just post OOC type posts, ever. If you must, they must be apart of an IC or In Character post, then later specified as an OOC in the post.

--No spamming anywhere on this site except the OOC sections. Spamming is considered making posts that are completely useless or irrelevant to the subject. This includes making multiple posts saying the exact same thing, or making multiple one word or one sentence posts.

-- Every post you make in the rp, is required to have a number of 30 words, and this is at the bare minimum. Failure to comply to this rule alone will result in warnings, and eventually banning if it continues.

--If you would like to advertise another site, you must gain the permission of one of the site's admin. If you are caught advertising anywhere on the site without this permission (this includes sigs and PM's) you will be suspended.

--Do not argue with guests, members, moderators, or admins. If you have a conflict with someone, settle it in private messages. If the issue is not settled, seek Staff assistance. Staff are here to help.

--Post topics in the correct forums. If you have a question, go to the question and answer forum, a suggestion, go the suggestions and comments forums.

--When posting in the rp, you can only post at one place at a time, until you reach another destination. You can't be a two places at once.

--It is preferred by the staff and most members that you role play in third person instead of first person. It is just easier to understand and get a feel what is going on. An example would be:

Third Person- As Hikari was impaled with the stranger's katana, thoughts of his children flooded his mind, along with a searing pain that washed over him, stemming from the middle of his chest, which spewed blood by the second. Hikari knew this was the end. He knew his life was no longer in his control, and he quietly let destiny take over, as he fell to his knees, expressionless.

First Person- I laughed as I felt my tonto being pushed into my enemy’s stomach. While the blood trickled down to my hand, a sense of accomplishment and pleasure filled the corridors of my twisted soul. With a smile portrayed on my face, I withdrew my blade, and casually skulked away.

--When speaking in character, it is not only best to use quotations, but mandatory. It makes things easier to understand, and it just looks better.

Good Example- "And just what the hell was that for??" Hikari screamed after her, after getting punched by the hilt of her katana. She perked up, turned, and screamed just as loud. "That'll teach you to look at me that way!!!"

Bad Example- What the hell is going on down there?? Hikari yelled. Oh, just nothing at all, um......no....nothing!!! The voice called back.

--When role playing, keep in mind the descriptions of your current surroundings, and the personalities of the people as well. Remember, realism is key when in rp.

--When posting in the rp, you must use correct spelling and grammar. Joining an rp means to some extent, that you enjoy writing. So please do your best to show your writing abilities to their fullest, and make it easier for everyone else to read. When posting anywhere in the OOC sections on the site, you may abbreviate and or use leet.

--When in the rp, or anywhere on this site for that matter, do not godmod or powerplay. Godmoding and Powerplaying include taking control of a character that doesn't belong to you, or making your character almighty. It is up to the other player to determine if you hit or not, and what extent of damage was done. At the same time that you can not always hit, you also can not always dodge.

--Please, do try your best to keep the swearing to a minimum. All forms of profanity are allowed, but abuse of this privilege, in the least bit, will result in an immediate changing of the rules, and banishment. This is not a kid's site, but do remain civilized.

--When in the rp, don't even think about trying to kill another person's character, unless they agree to it. Fighting is fine, no problem there, but the other RP'er must agree in allowing you to kill their character. Also, this brings up one more point, that just because you can't be killed, doesn't mean you're invincible. If you fight with someone whose older, smarter, and more powerful than you, you better prepared to get your butt handed to you on a golden platter. Try and hide behind this rule, and I will personally ban you.

2. Consequences

--Failure to adhere to most of these rules results in an automatic warning. Some on the other hand, as specified above, will get you immediately banned on breakage of said rule.

--Admins personally have the power to warn or suspend you when they see fit, if you step out of line. Just follow the rules, be cool, and everyone will get along.

3. Responsibility

--As a member of this site, you have a responsibility to follow and uphold these rules to the best of your ability. If rules are added, there will be announcements, but it is your job to follow and know them.

4. Problems with other members

--If you have an issue with any member or person in this or any other site that could conflict with your or their RPing, please contact Andrew or any staff member to help mediate the situation.

Write the word Annwn at the bottom of your RP character bio, to show you have read, understood, and are willing to comply with all these rules.
