Long Day..You bet! *Paige*

[Devin Adams]

Devin got out of her car and made her way over to Chesire park,her baby boy Zachary Alan in her arms.She set down a blanket and set Zachary down on it.She removed the diaper bag from he right shoulder and took some toys out of it for the baby to play with.

It didn't take long for Zachary to start crying,and Devin to shoot up from her laying position.She folded her legs indian style and picked hm up and set him in her lap,beging to bounce him up and down.

Paige kicked the soccer ball into the goal, it was easy work right now. But as a guy approached and kicked the ball away, she gave him a dirty look before glancing around to see where her loved ball had rolled off to. She looked just in time to see it hit another girl who was holding a baby. Well, at least it wasn't a hard kick and it only touched her knee. She took a quick look over herself. Her gym shorts were kind of muddy, and her black tank top was the same. Her face was covered in sweat she discovered as she ran her hand over her face. Oh well, she would need to get the ball back one way or another.

She jogged over to the girl. Er...Sorry. She said slowly as she approached and picked up the ball slowly.

Zachary's crying slowly stopped as a ball came rolling over and touched Devin's knee. Zachary leaned over to grab the ball,when a girl came over and picked it up.Devin,along with a very confused Zachary looked up to see a tall girl with muddy shorts and tank top.Devin gave a small smiled and shook her head,"It's no problem." she said and looked at the girl strangely,"Haven't I seen you before?"

Paige looked down at the girl, a confused look on her face. Maybe she had...Hm. Maybe.. She said slowly as she tried to find out where she had seen the girl and her little boy. She set the ball down for the little boy to see, even if it was a tad muddy.

Devin nodded and looked down,giving a smile at the happy Zachary,playing with the soccer ball.She rubbed the top of his head lightly and looked back up at the girl,"I think i might of seen you around the university...do you go there?" she asked.

Paige looked at her for a moment, before nodding slowly. "Yes, I do go there. I bet that is were I have seen you..

But hopefully I looked a little bit better than this She thought as she glanced around the park. It was still pretty empty...

"Yeah,probably.I'm a junior.Um...your a sophomore right?" Devin asked,as Zachary stood up.She wrapped her arms softly around him to keep him from running around.

Paige nodded. Ya.. She added quickly, glancing down at the baby boy. After a few moments, she noticed a small group of people walk by. She got a few werid looks, and she couldn't have asked for much more. She was a girl, covered in mud. Which wasn't very normal.

Her thoughts were disrupted when her cell phone rang, and she dug it out of her back pocket. One sec. She told the girl. Oh! Then she thought about the fact they hadn't even said names. Mental note to self.

Hello? She said, speaking quickly into the phone.
Ya..Just hanging out at the park... A short pause, where it was obvious that she was listening.
Playing soccer, what else? Listening again...
Mm. Can I call you later? This time, you could hear someone screaming a bit from the other end of the phone. Paige held the phone away from her ear, wincing at the sound of the person shouting.
...Chill, alright? I'll call you in a few hours I'm busy. And with that she hung up the phone and slid it back into her pocket.

Sorry about that. She told the other girl quickly. But her thoughts were on Lilly,one of her friends from her home town and the one that just called..
