Likes:He loves sunflowers. He almost has an obsession with them he loves them so much. His sheets at home have sunflowers and there all over his wall. All his spirals and folders even some of his pencils and pens even have sunflowers on them. He feels sunflowers express the world. They are happy and yellow on the petals (the outside of the flower) and they are dark and black and falling apart. (Like the inside of people’s hearts) He loves his mother more than life its self. She taught him everything he knows. He also loves pizza for some weird reason he just find it absolutely satisfying.
Dislikes:Ry hate people calling him Ryan!!! That is his name yes but He prefers Ry it is just oh I do not know so much easier to remember. Ry also cannot stand it when He sees someone else being bullied. He yes, is bullied himself and he can absorb so much bullying, but he does not think that someone else should be to blame and bullying should not be tolerated by anyone. He also hates pistachios with a passion there revolting to him. He could throw up at the site of them

Appearance:Brown Hair is longish it goes right to the bottom of his ear lobes. It is very thick but not to puffy He wears, it down some times it can be quite greasy. When he wakes up he just kind of flicks his head and off onto another day of school. When he needs to dress up he runs gel threw his hair and then with a comb he slicks it back all James Bond like. He has big wide green doe eyes. They do sparkle when he laughs, they sparkle, a bright blue and they turn almost black when he is angry. He has no control over his eyes changing. He wishes he did though. He hates it when his father can see his emotions. He has tried so hard to keep them suppressed. He is tall very skinny, very little muscle. His face is very sunken in he is very pale. You could say he would blow away with the wind. He is taller than most of the boys his age. He is around 5'6" and he is still growing. when he’s just around the school and hanging out with his friends he’s in a solid colored under shirt, lounge pants, and he normally have leather loafers with a fuzzy inside. When he is going out of the castle into town, he will wear jeans, a white t-shirt, brown flip-flops, his black vest and occasionally undone tie. His look is very relaxed rocker. His formal wear is a worn suit he has from his father and some dress shoes his grandpa bought him just before he left. He took his father’s red tie and hopes he will not notice. He has very pale skin, no freckles, no scars or tattoos. He has a leather strapped necklace and silver cross he wears everyday no matter what. No piercing! He has a very a very smooth kind of voice,

Personality:He is generally a pleasant person towards anyone that he meets. He tries his best not to judge anyone, though that is a bit harder if they are rude to him. He is the kind of person that believes in treating people in a way that is better than how they treat you. He also believes a handshake tells the world about a person. He insists on shaking hands when he first meets someone. He is happiest when he has his nose in a good book. He loves reading! His saddest moment was when his grandmother died. He gets sad when people talk about miss treating children in any way. He gets angry when someone interrupts him when he is talking or if they pick on him, he is quite sensitive. He loves his friends whole-heartedly. It does not take a lot to be considered a friend and it does not take a lot for someone to be taken to the enemy side. He still treats his enemies with respect but kind of snubs his nose at them.

One of the first personality traits people notice about Ry is his open mind and how he accepts everyone, be they a nerd, a jock, an emo, whatever. He also has a sense of humor, which cheers almost anyone up. Because of those two elements, he finds it easy to make friends and likes almost everyone. Even when he is having a bad day, he realizes that many other people are worse off so he smiles anyways. Half the time he feels like punching stuff, but hey! This kid can act. He will lend people bus money, he will help them with their homework, and he does not want to reap the benefits. He will do anything to protect his closest friends, and is very loyal and trustworthy. This, plus his cute looks, makes him quite popular with the girls.

Teachers... meh! Unless they do things unfairly, or are completely evil, he does not really care about them. If he has a good teacher, he will make sure to be friendly. Not suck-up type friendly. Just polite in class and thanking them afterwards, On the flip side, if a teacher is mean to him or his friends, he'll stand up to them and confront them, being careful not to insult the teacher. Generally, his easy-going nature and gentleness work and he accomplish his task.


K N O W I N G the PAST
History:Ry's parents were the epitome of white trash. They both grew up in trailers, Walked to school in their tiny town. They were just dirt broke and trying to make it by. Both Martin and Martha had known of each other since elementary school. They weren't friends but they knew the other one existed. They had grown up together and they went into the "typical sports." She was the high school cheerleader, the most popular girl on campus. He was the football player, ruggedly handsome and had all the girls at his beacon call. They met at the local diner. Friends had introduced them. Martha really didn’t care for him. She hated the football player and wanted a man with more depth. He friends pushed her into it and before she knew it she was dating the man. When Martha was a senior in High school she found out she was pregnant with Ry. She didn’t want to tell Martin but once it became obvious she told her parents. Her parents freaked and demanded to know whose it was. Well, that’s how martin and his family found out about her pregnancy.

Martin said she was going to make an honest woman out of Martha and he proposed to her in the middle of Main Street in the pouring rain. Martha's parents were absolutely furious she didn’t have an abortion, but Martha couldn’t take another person’s life no matter how old they were. Martha and Martin were married on Martha's 18th Birthday and Martha moved out of her parent’s trailer into Martins. Ry was born a week later. His parents were very loving and understood how mistakes can happen and that there was a baby someone need to take care of it. It may have been a mistake but it’s here now. So they took Ryan and his mother in.

Ry has had a relatively normal life. When he was little was little he would be able to go outside with his grandma and out into town with his grandfather on errands. He would laugh and play in the little garden his grandma Kept outside next to the door. But when it got dark Ry had to go inside and he would play very quietly in his room. Until his father came home. When his father came home he would jump under his bed and he would read or try to stay as still as possible. You see His father was a very intolerant man and was very angry. It seemed like he hated everything Ry stood for. He feels Ry ruined his life, He had dreams but now with a child and a wife he had to stay put and work through his issues. He sometimes took his issues out on Ry, but only after he had been drinking and that was only once or twice a week so it wasn’t that bad.

Ry received his scholarship letter after his senior year and was over the moon with excitement. He was thrilled about the thought of leaving and venturing out. He was sad to leave his mother and grandparents behind but they all understood that if he didn’t get out now. He never would. The night before he left, His father was an absolute wreck. He had drunk himself into a stupor. He was drunk than Ry had ever seen him. His father beat him so badly that he broke his arm in three different places and pulled his knee out of the socket. So he’s on crutches. That still wouldn't stop Ry from escaping. He left straight from the hospital to the train. And off to college!!!!!
Family:MARTIN JOHNSTON: Ry’s father, He is 49 and works as a meat packer at a local plant. He is rather tall and gangly (just like his son). He has very little muscle but great bone structure. He is a very mean man who takes out his problem on Ry and his mother. He drinks constantly and the only time Ry remembers his father being nice to him was on Ry's 4th birthday Half an hour before he threw the birthday cake against the wall because Ry started opening presents before it was Present time.

MARTHA JOHNSTON: Ry's mother, she 42 and works as a server at the towns diner. Ry's mother is probably the most loving mother in the entire world. When she is alone with Ry, they have the greatest time. She is a little chubby and has a broken wrist (right now) she has gorgeous green eyes like her son and is actually going to be moving out into a battered women’s shelter after Ry leaves for school. She is going to sue her father, there is going to be a big trial, and Ry cannot wait to see his dad locked up forever.

JAMES JOHNSTON: Ry's grandfather, he's 78 and used to be in the navy but got injured and can no longer work He is the tough old military man that nobody wants to mess with. He is a very handsome man for his age and has the same green eyes Ry and his mother has.
HANNAH JOHNSTON: Ry’s grandmother, she is 72 and stays home taking care of ry. She is the most gentle soul god put on this earth. She loves to cook, sit, and crotch. She tried teaching Ry but he burnt himself and turned the ball of yarn into the knot of yard. She is the cute old grandma you just love to death.


RPG Sample: The air filled with excitement as Ry woke up. He was so excited to be getting away from this place. He loves his mother dearly but his father was sometime questionable. He got up and walked down stair knowing this would be the last time for a while he would wake up to the smell of his mother’s pancakes. He got down stairs and found his mother as always in the kitchen cooking and cleaning doing daily chores. “Hello Mother” he said as he sat down to eat breakfast. “Good morning Ry” she said with hesitation in her voice. “Are you excited about tomorrow?” She said softly “Yes mother I am” Ry noticed when she put the pancakes down there was a Mother bruise on her arm and she was shaking. “Did the robins lose there eggs again” He looked at his mother in a very serious and stern look. (This is a play on loosing your marble Ry and his mother invented to signify to each other when His father had been drinking). She looked at Ry partly ashamed for letting this happen. “The robin lost his egg last night and he hasn’t found it yet.”(This means he is still angry) Ry’s father walked in and looked at the boy.

He had been drinking all night it was self-soothing for him to cope with loosing there son to an uptight boarding school (or so he thought, only his mother knew the truth about the school) “what are you looking at?” he slurred in a drunken stupor. “Do you have any idea what this is doing to your mother” Ry just sat there looking at his father not moving. Ry’s father grabbed him by his shirt collar and pulled him to be he was standing up. His feet barely touching the floor.” you piece of dirt” he said his hot breath smelling of whiskey and other alcohol. He throws ry across the room. Ry landed on counter top and when he tried to pick himself up, he placed his hand on the hot stovetop. His mother had retreated to a corner where she curled up rocking back and forth. Her hands over her eyes not wanting to see anything. Ry’s eyes began to well from the pain in his hand. When his father saw this, he went wild. He threw Ry on the floor and began Pounding on him. He kept repeating, “I’m going to make a man out of you, and this will stop you from crying.” He beat on Ry until we heard a bang on the door. The cops walked in and called an ambulance. They took him to the hospital with a broken leg, burned hand and a concussion. He was thankfully released from the hospital with just enough time to catch his plane and then on to the train

Anything else about your charrie: Even though ry has been through all this, He does not have a complex and he is a normal person. who just happened to break his leg. I promise you he will not have any problem or is not emotionally disurbed in any way
