The Locke head looks spot on, while the Sawyer looks like the photo - I think it lacks something - almost looks like a stand in or something.

I've seem Ada's work before on eBay and was considering having him do a custom Tori Amos head for me.

I think it is just amazing that people are that skilled that they can start with a piece of clay and wind up with a perfect little replica of someone! biggrin.gif

I love the Locke one.

I think the wrong thing about the Sawyer one, that makes it look strange is the beard, I think it looks too long and makes his jawline look too wide.

With her buy 3, get 1 free, I'm thinking about ordering 2 of each, painted. Does anyone want to go in with me?

The cost would be: $105 (for 3 painted heads + 1 free) + shipping (which I *think* is $25) = $130 / 2 = $65, + $5 to ship if from me to you. Or we can go unpainted, but I think she does a great job, worth the $10, IMO.

If interested, reply to this thread or PM me.

First of all: Can please somebody tell this guy, that his name is James "Sawyer" Ford, James Ford or just Sawyer but not James Sawyer... that hurts my eyes^^

The Locke-head is gerat, but Sawyer looks a bit to wild.

I agree, the Locke looks excellent but Sawyer just looks wrong with that beard!

It doesnīt look like Jack to me, maybe from the front, a little bit, but heīs not there on the side pics.
Maybe it would look more like him after painted but Iīm sure Clay will do a way better work on our Jack smile.gif

Thanks for sharing though!

Charlie looks better IMO, but again, from the front side.
I guess itīs the reason why she doesnīt take too many side pics.

Hey Chris,

Did you ever wind up ordering any of these custom heads? I'd be interested in getting a Locke head if you're still interested.

Just an FYI, the Locke 12" head by Andy Bergholtz is still available. I just bought mine this week. It is definitely the best Locke sculpt ever created, so anyone interested can go to the link below...

I didn't see a link to order one. Can you provide? Also, how much was it, and is anyone providing a painting service?

Thx

I just registered and PM'd the creator of the thread, MikeTek. He gave me his Paypal and I sent over $35.50.

I think all of this can be found in this thread...

Yeah, I only bought Jack from Ada, because thatīs the only one I liked, (Locke wasnīt that bad either but someone already made a way better Locke headsculpt) but in hand... Jack wasnīt that great either, plus her head was a bit too small. Pretty dissapointing. I know I wonīt buy from her again...

Btw, welcome aboard Jack! wink.gif
