Title: What properties would you like figures made?
Cronos - June 25, 2008 08:07 PM (GMT)
What properties from Movies, TV, Books, Comic Books, ect. would you like to see figures/more figures/new figures made of?
Dashopkinsfan - June 25, 2008 08:16 PM (GMT)
I'd love to see more X-Files figures - I've got the McF & Sideshow figs and I think there is a lot more that can be done with that license. I’d also like to see Star Wars figures in a 6” scale – something a little larger than the Hasbro figs. Also, more Lost. :D

Supernatural. That show is pretty much perfect for action figures, but unfortunatly they sold the merchandising rights to a crappy underfunded company called cinequest who is only interested in creating trading cars that no one cares about and crappy mishapen busts that look nothing at all like the actor.

I totally forgot about the SW Unleashed figures! I even collected some of them! :D Those were definitely cool – I loved the extreme poses they were sculpted in, but I didn’t move to the smaller scale when the line did. It’s a shame too because I wanted to have more Jedi characters like Shaak Ti, or Luminara Unduli in these dynamic poses.
What I meant above, was that I wanted the SW characters similar in size and style to the DST Star Trek or Stargate figures.
It sure sucks when a line doesn’t get finished (ahem-McFarlane) – and you have holes in your collection. I remember when Playmates had the Star Trek license in the 90’s and they were doing the characters from DS9 – they did a lot of secondary characters but never got to my favorite character, Kai Winn. I was so mad!
Flash forward to today, Diamond Select has the license and I thought she had a real shot at getting made – but DST is turning into a real shoddy company that would just as soon put a Captain Kirk head on a female body and call it Kai Winn. So, to quell my anger I made a custom Winn figure and called it a day. If the stars somehow align and we get an official Winn figure, I’ll gladly pick it up, but for now I’m good :D

I understand, I'm a big Veronica Mars fan and was excited when Cinequest announced they were going to make figures and busts from the show, they released the busts first (which didn't look to good) they ended up with low sales and the show was canceled so they never made the figures. I just wish they would have made the figures first instead of the busts but if the Heroes line does well I should get my Veronica/Elle figure at least.

Do you mean Elle Bishop? Elle Bishop from HEROES will be relesed as Action-figure from Mezco in December 2008, together with Nathan, Adam, The Haitian and another figure I don't remember yet.

Yep, I seen the prototype pics and I think she looks really good so I just hope the Heroes line does well enough to get to her series and although her package will say Elle she'll always be Veronica to me. :D

Yea, but atleast the brought out the face-scanning technology for Veronica Mars so the busts look somewhat like the characters they are supposed to. They decided to handsculpt the Supernatural busts, and they now look like a ghost is possessing the clay and angrily trying to get out.

If there are Prototypes already the figure will be released, it happens really inferquently that already sculpted figures are chancelled, becuase the sulpting is normaly the most expensive point when a figure is developed

These shows will NEVER get action figures, and they don't really... deserve them i guess. But i would LOVE LOVE LOVE a few lines for House, The Office, Dead Like ME, and Arrested Development.
But they really are not "action figure" shows
Dashopkinsfan - July 10, 2008 08:45 PM (GMT)
I want a Buster figure on my desk right now!!! Also, Lucille with her "R-Horn" (like anyone would want to “r” her) LOL! :D I miss that show!!

The Office action figures... lol that would be cool. There are Dwight and Michael bobble-heads, though. They are really awesome, I'm thinking of getting a Dwight one. :P

I would be lucky if she didn´t charge me, but she does, lol

I'd love if they would have finished out the line for "Serenity" (gee, who'da guessed?!), even if they were subpar. The statues look nice though!
Since we're watching it now, a "Back to the Future" series would be pretty cool. If you wanted real "action figures", you could have a head-knocking Biff, an arm-waving George McFly, and a jaw-dropping "Great Scott" Doc Brown! Each figure could come with a piece of the Delorean, and instead of a build-a-figure, it could be a build-a-car set.
I'd also love it if the companies that make figures of musicians would great expand their output. An Elton John "Captain Fantastic" would be kinda neat, and so far the only artist I care about that's been made into a figure is Bon Jovi. Maybe Lennon.. but I passed.

I was talking to KR about this the other day... I'd love a Dexter action figure line! I think that would be really cool. :)
I know there are bobble-heads but I want figures. With blood on them. lol

Yeah, count me in for Dexter action figures ;)

Now figures that I miss crossed my mind: I would really like to have figures or statues from "El laberinto de fauno" "Pans Labyrinth" - it is my favorite movie and I would love to have Pan as figure...

You forget [scrubs] I already imagine a Dr.Cox with soundchip who always says: "Stop talkin' newbie!", "Hey, girl's name" or something like that
Joshjb - July 21, 2008 11:45 AM (GMT)
I'd love a Dr. Cox bobble-head with a sound chip or something. :D I don't think he needs to be an action figure, though.
Anubis2705 - July 21, 2008 05:23 PM (GMT)
No, if there should be a bobble-head than Dr. Kelso:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I8_AhxR3tZ4
But normaly I am no fan of Bobble-heads or headknockers.... except of the Dr. Kelso one

Next to LOST I'm also into the Star Trek figures from Diamond Select Toys
And the Pirates of the Caribbean figures from Neca
Unfortunately Neca only gives us many versions of Jack Sparrow and a few other less important characters but dont't make some other characters who have been important through the entire series like Mr. Gibbs, Lord Cutler Beckett, Cotton, Marty.
They always remake the same characters and don't bring in new ones.
In that way Neca really sucks.
As for the Star Trek line things go better, they already made secondary characters as well.

Totally agree with this. Espacially beckett as the ultimate bad-Guy is missing for me... and of course Gibbs.
And by the way. it seems that I was wrong about the Heroes figures and I am so angry as well. And espacially Elle was one of my favorite Heroes-characters (after Sylar). But I saw pictures of racked and totally ready figures of series 3 so.... there is still a little hope.
Sometimes I think the most lines would be much more successfull, if they would stop so much after two or three lines. If you have to fear that you won't ever get significant characters, you think twice, if you should start collecting the line.
@KR and Josh
I guess you already know, but if not: a
Dexter-Figur will come.
