A few ideas

First, we ought to put an end to this "flood control" nonsense, once and for all!

Also, maybe we should reconsider the manner of "introducing" oneself. To me, it seems as though having a single topic will become rather cumbersome.
Let's take an example: you'll notice that Zel and I welcomed Ninja. AND if Ninja is to respond, together, we'd be creating a *relatively large* subset of posts all about Ninja's new membership.
Now, imagine the situation as more and more people join.

I have a few ideas on how to revamp it, but I'd like to hear some other suggestions first. Well, that is, if you agree...

That is why I am not one for templates. For one, it makes things a little less personal, even though it does make it easier for people who might be shy, or who think they do not know what to say.

Generally, if we just have people make their own topic it works out in the end. Even though it means there will be a good bit of topics that only have a few posts in them.

Well, originally, you weren't supposed to say welcome. That was just an informal list of members. However, it didn't seem to work out that way, so I'd be glad to hear your ideas.

I do understand the problem though, but thats just because we have friendly people like Zelchan and Minion. I personally am not friendly, so I odn't blame me.

This was one of my ideas.
The other: a weekly "membership class," in which kids who join in a particular week will post introductions. Then, people can see people who joined about the same time they did. Also, this will help to minimize said chaos in each week's thread. ...I think.

That sounds pretty good actually. We might have to start a new government section or something to take care of that.
