i have downloaded this venue off the submitter but it just keeps freezing up my fishsim when i try to install.any help please

i ad to go into safe mode to delete the venue fully but just reinstalled and all looks good now,cheers anyway cliff

thought it was all sorted but just crashed me back to desktop now.this is the error file that fishsim produced

Curious, was this venue created by the same person that created the other venue with image problems? I'm not on my PC, sorry cant remember the name... but it also caused issues like this. |

Maybe someone that knows image stuff could look at them and possibly edit them to make them work. I would also be curious to know if everyone having issues are using the same PC types, Windows version?, 32 or 64 bit?, how about video card? is it a laptop? Just a thought, Stevie |

Stevie,in the other thread you suggested changing the capital S in the venue stock folder to a lower case and this seems to have worked for me on this venue too

The only pattern I can see is that those two venues use sub folders for the specie images and have capital letters in the image extensions.
Another venue with the folder ‘allgar’ which is ‘Texas Parks’ also uses this type sub folder with a capital ‘S’ and by the same creator, does it also give you problems? A common thing these sub folders have is all the image extensions are in capital letters like ‘.JPG’. Other venues have capital images extensions such as ‘Kennet & Avon Canal-Great Bedwyn’, if this venue does not give you any issues then it could only be an issue when there is the extra sub folder with the capital letter and capital extensions in the file name. I created a small program that renamed the specie folder and all the species files with lower case extensions, I’ve zipped the files, I am not sure this is the problem but you can try it, it can’t hurt; just unzip the fixed species folder to \venues\tfzandr\images. http://www.rutpbg.com/fishsimxp/targetfish...cieimagefix.zip It’s a little farfetched and experimental but if it works the same fix can be applied to all the other venues… Stevie |

Just had a quick look at the peg1.all file, and there is a massive amount of blank lines after the last written line. Could this be a problem ?

tried switching to your species file Stevie and all was ok for a while until i caught an ide with no fish pic just looked like pic of grass or something.dont have an error file becaude laptop needed shutting down
