hi all,

is anyone else having problems the the download link at top of page.
i keep getting a " forbiden you do not have permisson to access "
any help would be appreciated.

same with me eddie, for a while now. what I did was go to peits site and put on favs now no problem

tried again u got click on something before it works cant just go to site and click on downloads. hope that makes since

I have also had the same problems as Eddie yet the let when i access it through simmers dream it works

robbo, try and just go to page with out clicking on anything but downloader

Hi again,

this is strange,the direct link on this forum to the community downloads appears to have been stopped,i say this cause i have now booted up another 2 computers i have and tried the link with both and it does not work.
on going to simmers dreams site i can access the community downloads with no problem.
would it be possible for someone from admin to check out the link and try and find out why it is no longer possible to use this link from this forum.

help in resolving this issue would be appreciated.

There's nothing wrong with the link.
Try this, click on the link - you get the forbidden page.
Right click on the link and copy and paste into browser, it then works.

lol 2 or 3 minutes ago before my last post it didn't work from the main page (index.php) it now does !

Works fine for me Eddie, me old mate.
I realise that things can become difficult at your time of life, but, have you tried;
Wearing the correct glasses for this task?
Using a "mouse" to make computing tasks easier?
Trying an older version of Windows that you may be more comfortable with, such as "Windows '73"?
Ask Lynn to try?

Try Firefox instead of IE8. I have loads of otherwise unexplainable probs using IE8, and have to use Firefox on some sites, like them p*rn ones you told me about ;)
Seriously Eddie, if there is not a problem, then it can't be sorted, but I do sympathise with you. Everything is working OK here.

I've never had a problem, but then I've never just clicked the link.

Try "right clicking" the link & "open in a new tab" (or window) Both worked everytime for me. I think all browsers now have this option.
