Hi all, as I have only changed the Whatif file 2 day's ago i'm now finding what i've (literally) lost in fish. When the Whatif file shows "Hook didn't set" as in lost fish (quite a few in fact) any ideas please.

Fishing for Carp, type of hook used 10 micro barb. So .... go up or down a hook size & maybe the reason why you suggest whichever.

Can anyone explain the term (other than stating the obvious) "Hook didn't set" 'cause out of 20 missed/lost fish 12 we're "Hook didn't set".

... & do you have to manually delete the info from the Whatif file or does it clear itself when you start a new fishing session?

"Hook didn't set" I imagine could either mean the bait is the wrong size (masking the hook) or the hook is not the optimum size.

The whatif does get deleted when you start FS next time.

haveago, i have only just seen this post.
when you have the whatif file on, if you right click then select all, then press delete, the what if file will be cleared, ready for your next session, this way you don't have to restart fs

Blimey Keef where did you dig this one out from m8? I have since learned a lot as to the faults that the Whatif file shows - still no better @ beating them thou'.

Practise makes perfect, soon I hope.
