I had to reset my router as I kept losing connection.
Now I cannot open port 1808 so I can run my server...........

This is how I've set it up but maybe I've got the server IP & remote IP confused.
The server IP is my router IP & the remote IP is the PC that runs the server.

Yes, I have restarted the router after making changes & even turned off the firewall.........

Any ideas guys?

I have managed to make the server open by setting DMZ which I think may be a bit of a security issue.

hi Dave

Disable the DMZ. In virtual server, type the server name write fsserv. As IP enter the IP of the server which runs on a PC, should work

thanks for the replies guys. Roy, it's an Edimax as in the thread title. I think you are right about the numbers though I'm sure I tried it already. I'll try it again when I get home tonight.

No joy after another couple of hours changing settings & restarting the router.
It all takes time.................

Think I'll go back the start & reset the whole router again. Maybe I put something different a bit deeper in.

When I finally (yes when, because I will) get this sorted, hopefully I can post an explanation as to why, for future reference.

Hi Dave,
You can still use the program "Simple Port Forwarding" from this link.
http://www.simpleportforwarding.com/

The program automatically redirects using a single port router with built-in list your router is on the list.

I hope this will help solve the problem
