Meridian Realm: The Other Side Of The Necklace, *BRC and OR rp*

[Atela Hoshi]

The middle of summer in the Libyan Desert was not Antilles' idea of a good place to work. He pulled his hood up more as he kept watch over the work site. "I swear next time the boss asks if I want to travel, I'm telling him to go to hell." the man said muttering.

The research company he worked for just recieved rights to invstigate the Muzawaka Tombs. They were careful in preserving the past but this was were one of their most skilled workers nearly lost her life. ~I wonder what happened to her. It's been 17 years....~ Antilles thought absently as his eyes fell on the Egyptions that were assigned to their unit. ~And how the hell did she put up with these assholes?~

Quinton yawned as he walked up to Antilles. This was not his most favorite mission, hell he shouldn't have been here, but here he was. In the desert. Wearing black. "I agree with you. And next time, remind me to pack lighter clothes." he said as he shedded his jacket off, showing a plain black T-shirt.

Yuri, who was behind Quinton, laughed. "I warned you! I told you Egypt was hot with a capital H!" He said as he sat beside the poor guy who wanted to kill the boss. "Okay, all I have to remember, is to NOT shot the people who annoy me." he said happily.

"I give you three minutes." Said Quin. Yuri pouted. "Not cool man, not cool." He said.

Mina looked at the portal in front of her. It was black and red, well actually, it was rather a mix of colors. They confused and excited her all at once. She looked down at what she wore and smiled. Her witches hat, a long white shirt/dress that fell to her knees, but had room for her tail. A black trench coat, to hide said tail as a just in case measure. Her pack was on her shoulder full of books and supplies.

She prodded the portal and gasped as it sucked her up to her elbow. "CRAP!" She shouted as it pulled her in. And I forgot to leave a note to tell Panic where I was going tooShe thought as she blacked out.

Vector chuckled a little at the three younger members. "Well at least you aren't complaining like John is. He's not happy about taking inventory on everything that is taken out of the tombs."

"Tell me about it." Donny said as he pushed his hair back. "John asked me to get you, Ant. Says he needs a little more muscle with one of the rocks. Same with you Quin."

"And what's so intersting about the item?" Ant said putting his gun on his back.

"It's a big rock. The group he has trying to move it isn't doing a good job and even with his and my help, it ain't moving."

Yuri sighed, "Ya'll a bunch of weaklings." He said as he stood back up, "It's just a rock, if it doesn't move, blow the damn thing up!" He said as he walked towards the site that Donny had said.

Quin sighed, "I have the worst luck..." he mumbled, as he too stood up and followed Donny to the site.

Mina opened her eyes and saw black. Not light, no dark, just pure old black. She was confused, then the black ended and the other side of the portal appeared. She blinked, too much in pain to really understand what was going on. As she approached the portal, she passed out again. Glad my hat is big enough to hide my ears... She thought as she felt the pain end, but it was too late. She was out like a light...in front on a couple of regular humans no less.

"Yeah blow it up...and have John on our asses about destroing the tombs as well." Donny muttered as he and Ant fell in line. Vector was just chuckling.

"What the hell was that?" one worker asked growing scared as a strange glow came from around the rock they were trying to move.

"Chill out." Chris said as he looked at the rock. ~Could this be like what that Atela always researched?~ he thought absently as he put his guns away.

"Becareful!" John said as some rocks began to fall. "Don't get trapped we dont' know whats on the other side of this..."

Quinton looked at the rock curiously, Yuri behind him drew his gun as a just in case measure.

Mina fell from the portal, coughing and wheezing and moaning about something or other. Her hat covered her ears and her tail was covered by hre jacket, but even so, her eyes were slitted green. "Itai..." She muttered, her eyes closing as she curled into a ball, muttereing about the pain.

Both Quinton and Yuri jumped back, surprised and shock evident on there faces.

"What the f.....?" Donny started then got smacked by Chris.

"Watch it." Chris said in warning. He may be younger but he didn't like the language sometimes.

"You ok?" Antilles asked as John watched the workers race out saying somthign about upseting the goddess Bast.

"V's going to like this find..." Donny said as John started to record the incident.

[Ari Neko]

Mina coughed, blood dripped from her mouth to the desert floor. "Remind me not to jump in portals and I'll be just dandy..." She muttered, standing up on shaky legs. She blinked and looked at them, finally noticing that not one of them had an ounce of magical energy. WEll, they could have, but it was well hidden or dormat. Her cat-like eyes blinked and she turned to the one who asked her if she was alright. "Where am I?" She asked, curiousity and fear evident in her voice.

Quinton looked slack-jawed at the being in front of him. He assumed that she wore contacts, as there was no way she could have slitted eyes unless she was a genetic experiment. He shook that thought out of his head quick, I need to stop reading so much damn Sci-fi... he thought looking at her closly.

Yuri blinked, a gun in his hands, "Do I shoot it?" He whispered REAL quietly to Quin so the girl wouldn't hear.

The girl eeped, "Don't shoot me! I'm not evil!!!" She said, pleadinly.

Yuri blinked, "what the fuck!"

[Atela Hoshi]

"You are in Egypt. The tombs near the Dakhla Oasis." Antilles said looking at the strange creatrure.

~What on earth is that thing?~ Chris thought blinking. Donny tilted his head curious but had no real thoughts.

"Chris, Donny, Quin, escort her back to the camp. Yuri no shooting the visitor." John said as he wrote down everything. "Ant you go report to Vector on what's going on. I'll contact the boss and let him know."

[Ari Neko]

Mina growled, or rather hissed, "I'm not going anywhere! I"m from Asa, not this..damn...Egypt place!" She said, crossing her arms over her chest. She sighed and leaned against the wall, which caused her hat to fall off. She cought it quickly, but had no intentio of putting it back on her head.

Where is Egypt? Why can't I sence Panic or anyone. Susan? Marik? Seto-onii-san? She thought as her eyes teared up. Her ears lay flat on her head as she cried. "I want to go home..." She muttered sadly.

Yuri dropped his gun, "Dude! She had...like....EARS! CAT EARS! WHAT THE FUCK!!!" He shouted, falling backwards to the ground. HE had seen and done some weird shit in his life time, but never something like this.

Quinton's eyes widened. Comfort the girl, or yell and shock and pull a Yuri and fall on my ass.. He thought as he watched her ears fall flat on her head as she cried.

John actualy stopped in his writting to stare at Mina. He took out a digital camera and threw it to Donny.

Donny almost missed the camera as he stared at Mina. He shook himself and began to take some pics of her.

Chris blinked and blinked again as Antilles stared at Mina then shook his head. "Woah." Was all the guardsman could say as he fell back.

Chris went over to Mina leaning beside her. "Hey it's ok." he said softly as he reached over to pet her on the head. "We aren't going to hurt you." ~As long as Yuri doesn't start shooting at her, I think we'll be fine at least.~

Mina stopped crying and looked at Chris with sad eyes, "Your not?" She said, as she wipped the last of her tears from her face. Her ears had raised a little, showing how hopeful she was that what he was saying was true.

Quin dropped his gaze and sat down on the floor, "Where is Asa?" He asked her softly.

Yuri blinked, "It talks, it has ears...it HAS to be a genetic experiment or something..." He said, more to himself than anything else.

Mina glared, "I'm not a genetic experiment. I'm a Cat demon. Where I come from Demons are more common then humans as humans tend to die out quickly in my relm." She hissed, showing lethal claws.

"It be well for you, you stupid human, if you don't insult me by calling me an it." She said, huffing, "I'm Mina and I'm female." She said, looking at him coldly.

Yuri and Quinton gapped, "DEMON!" They shouted, shocked.

John and Antilles looked at eachother and nodded. "Get Vector." John said as he continued to write.

"Cool!" Donny said as he finished taking pictures. "A friend of mine always talked about the possiblities of demons and diffrent relms."

Chris patted Mina's ears again. "Woah. Why...how did you get here though?"

"You got to be kidding." Vector said shocked as Antilles told him what was going on.

"Tela was right." Ant said. "We knew she was but this proves her theory."

Mina smilled and purred lighltly, "What's your friends name?" She asked as she took off her coat, she was hot and it bothere her. She stuffed it back in her pack, which was magiced to make anything in there smaller and lighter so it could fit.

Quinton blinked, "I-She has a tail! SHE HAS A TAIL!!!!" He shouted, looking at it. He still couldn't get over the fact that he was talking to a demon.

Yuri smirked, "Yed Quin, it has a tail." He said, though he may have been playing cool, he was just as freaked out as Quinton.

Mina growled, "Do NOT insult me by calling me an it or I'll set you on fire...or zap you with lighting, or better yet, use Lure to make you jump off a cliff to your own doom." Said Mina laughing.

She blushed lightly, "Sorry, Chaos must be rubbing off on me..." She said, "But the threat still hangs human." She said and Yuri scowled.

Chris chuckled a little as Donny handed the camera back to John. He pointed to each one as he said their names. "That's John. Donny. Quin. Yuri."

"She's an intersting demon. First I've met in over 17 years." Vector said as he joined the group.

"That's Vector. The head of our unit. And that is Antilles." Chris said pointing to the other two.

[Ari Neko]

Mina's ears perked up, "Pleasure to meet you all. cept Yuri. I'm Mina. A cat demon or rather a Cat mage." She said, smiling, showing deadly looking fangs.

Yuri Scoffed, "A Cat mage? Yeah right!" He said, making Mina glare, then smile widly.

"Yuri...I'm gonna give you one more chance. Stop. Insulting. Me." She said, glaring lightly at Yuri.

"Nope! I don't take orders from its!" He said, smirking. Quinton blinked, "Huh...Yuri...you might want to say sorry..." He said as he backed away from Yuri and Mina.

Mina looked blankly at Yuri, sighed and shrugged her shoulders. "Alright, I'll let you off with a warning." She said, then grinned, "I won't kill you. FIRE BALL!" She shouted as he threw a fireball at Yuri. Yuri blinked, not expecting her to actually beable to do it.

He ended up being on fire and having to be doused with water, curtasy of Quinton.

Vector, John and Antilles were tring hard not to laugh. Chris and Donny on the other hand were laughing so hard they fell over.

"Alright, children." Vector said looking at the younger ones. "Head back to camp and see that an extra tent is set up."

[Ari Neko]

Mina grinned, "Heh! Don't insult me Yuri-chan!" She said, then turned to Donny, "So...who was your friend? The one that belived in diffrent relms and all that." She asked pleasently.

Yuri looked like a drenched rat, and sighed, "I hate it..." HE said, then when Mina glared at him, he quickly changed what he had said, "I mean she!" He said quickly, and Mina smiled and turned back to Donny.

Quinton grinned, "She's got you whipped." He said, laughing.

Yuri sighed, "One of these days I'm gonna shoot her..." He mumbled.

[Atela Hoshi]

"So he's already said something?" Vector said as Chris left to get the tent set up.

"Sorry, V.' Donny said rubbing the back of his neck.

"It's ok." Vector said smiling at the kid. "She was your friend after all." Donny gave a sly smile. 'Her name was Atela Hoshi. she disappered 17 years ago while studing a necklace we recovred from a dig."

[Ari Neko]

Mina gapped, her jaw dropped, "OH MY GOD! YOU MEAN ATELA-SAMA!! THE QUEEN!!! WOW!!" She said, jumping up and down in joy. "I can't belive she's from here! I mean, she's sooo cool! And was an Awsome leader! She's like, in almsot every history book!" She said happily as she jumped up and down.

Yuri paused, his mouth open wide in shock.

Quinton too paused, "WHAT!" He shouted, loud enough for aliens to hear if they were close to the earth...which meant Mina was now on the ground covering her ears in pain. "Sorry.." he said and Mina shook it off.

[Atela Hoshi]

Mina's out burst caused John, Ant and Vector to laugh. Donny was laughing but not as hard as the three older guys.

"Sorry, but Atela a queen? Come on. She was hardly a lady." John said as he wiped tears from his eyes.

"Wait...Atela you knew her or at least heard of her?" Vector said gaining control of himself.

[Ari Neko]

"I heard of her and she IS a Queen." Mina said as she pulled out her book on Asa history, including the wars and what not. She put then in Vecotrs arms. "She was a kind and awsome leader along with the King of Rome, Rayku. There fighting skills are un-matched! But when King Rayku got kidnapped or dissapeared, she fell into depression. Some say she sleeps in ruins in the desert waiting for King Rayku to wake her up. Others say she is already awake and is trying to collect her lost memories." Said Mina as she sighed dreamily.

Yuri laughed, "Yeah right. Most likely a fairy tale your telling us." He said laughing. Mina growled, "DO. NOT. MAKE! FUN! OF! THE! QUEEN!" She hissed lunging for Yuri, her eyes red with anger.

Yuri made a snap decision, pulled out his gun and shot Mina in the stomache. Mina's eyes widened as she stopped and looked at the gaping hole, which blood know pooled out of. "Dammit..." She said, "What the hell was that! How did you do that! I sense no magic from you!" She said as her hands glowed white and she set to healing the wound.

[Atela Hoshi]

Vector was use to Yuri's antics by now. He glared at the young researcher. "Yuri, put your gun away now!" he said as he opened the book. "Atela was always intersted in magic. She was our lead expert on it concidering she could use it."

Donny's eyes widened as he noticed Mina's blood before he fainted. "He's still not use to the sight of blood...." Ant sighed watching curious as Mina healed herself.

"John, you getting all of this?" Vector asked as he flipped through the book intreged. "And it's Rome not Rein." he said to MIna chuckling.

[Ari Neko]

"I said Rome." She said as she patched herself up. She glared at Yuri and sighed. Can't change here. She thought with another sigh. She was wired and wanted nothing more than to be with Panic and instead she was in a new relm where magic didn't exsist.

Yuri growled, "Yeah! Well next time, tell the damn Cat not to try and kill me." He said as he put his gun away. The cat, Mina, hissed threateningly.

"I could make you kill yourself. It would be easy." She said growling. Quinton covered Yuri's mouth before he could respond. "I'm sorry my friend here shot you. Please forgive him, he's rather...tempermental." He said, sighing. Mina said nothing.

[Atela Hoshi]

"Quin, take Yuri back to the camp. Now!" Vector sighed as Ant took Donny out.

"This is going to be fun to report to the boss with." John said chuckling.

[Ari Neko]

Mina looked around. The sky was clear, clear blue. The sun was warm and soft and it made her smile. "Mind if I fly for a bit. I won't stray to far..." She said as she pulled a small, minuture looking broom that was black and gold.

She muttered something under her breath and the broom grew larger, to it's normal size. It hovered a good few feet of the ground. Without waiting for a reply, She hopped on the broom and zoomed up to the sky, where she went in a circle, before she just went in random direactions. Looping here and there and zig-sagging after birds...and scaring a few of the workers.

Quin grabbed Yuri, "Yes sir." He said and started dragging back to the camp.

[Atela Hoshi]

Ant rejoined John and Vector. Vector was reading the book, sitting on a rock while the other two were watching Mina with great interst.

Vector's eyes widen as he stopped at one section on Atela. "John, Ant...remember how we'd joke around with Te about her loyalties being that of a dragon's?"

"Yeah what about it?" Ant asked looking at Vector a little.

"According to this, she is a dragon." Vector said causing John to fall on his ass in shock.

"What the hell? Why was she here then?" John asked when he gained control of himself.

"No clue. I'm still reading." Vector said as his eyes never left the book.

[Ari Neko]

Mina flew down and looked at Vector, then back at her book. "I also have books of species ande demos commons to certain areas. A Book on mosters if you will." She said smiling as she sat her pack down.

She wasn't on the ground, on the contrary, she was a good feet above them. "So...Um...What is Egypt? What's this place called anyway? Reminds me of the Desert near Asa...or was it Rein. I'm not to good with places." She said as she sighed. "Of course, you don't have to worry about Diablo here, maybe Duna, but right now he's harmless." She said smiling. Glad that the damn demon was quite, angry, but quite nonetheless.

"Anywho, Anyone want to fly? YOu'd have to hold on to me cause none of you have any magic that I can sense, right now at least, but it'd be fun. I wouldn't go to fast for you....or at least...I'll try not too..." She said, then looked down at her pack.

"Try not to harm my books. There speacial to me." She said, smiling.

[Atela Hoshi]

Vector chuckled lightly as John picked up a book to read. "We are researchers and historians if you will, we take great care of anything we come across."

"As for flying, no thank you, Miss Mina. We already have some workers saying you are a servent of the lion goddess, Bast." John said with a small smile.

"Egypt is in a diffrent relm than you are from. The content of Africa." Vector said trying to think of a way to explain it to her. ~I wonder how Te was explained it?~ he thought absently a hint of sadness in his eyes.

[Ari Neko]

Mina blinked as she hung up-side down from her broom. "Whose the Lion godess Bast? She sounds familiar..." She said, blinking. "I think I had a cousin who was a lion demoness. Her name Bast...." She said smiling. "But, she was only a cousin by mating."

Mina suddenly got a really sad look on her face and sighed, "I wonder how everyone is doing...I fogot to tell them where I was going." She mumbled as she listened to Vector try to explain things to her.

[Atela Hoshi]

"Vec," John said showing him something in his book. It expalined about how Bast tried to take over Atela in their world.

"I see...." Vector said nodding. John took out a few books from his pack as Vector read over what he was shown.

"Here, this may be eaiser than us trying to explain it to you." John said handing Mina the history books.

[Ari Neko]

"Shweet." She said as she flipped over, landing lightly on the ground. "These look cool!" She said, grinning and in no time at all, she was half-way through the books. "WOW! YOu guys may not be demons, but you sure are blood thirsty!" She said as she poured over World War 1 and 2 with a wicked grin on her face.

"And these things you call guns look...stupid really. I understand there...positive influence on your war time, but in all honesty. ANd these Nuclear bombs? Look what it does to the wild life and you! It's amazing you haven't died out yet." She said, laughing.

[Atela Hoshi]

John took down all of Mina's comments, recording her reactions to every little thing.

"To err is human." Vector said sighing. "Though there are quite a few that blood thirsty, there are some of us that would rather keep peace." He said as he went through Mina's book. ~Te went through a lot in just 17 years. I wonder how the hell she's held up?~

[Ari Neko]

"Yeah, but wow. This is all...kinda funny. REminds me of the 100 year Magic war over in the Academy. It was before my time, but whatever. Still neat." She said as she dropped one book and pulled out another on Japanese History.

Soon, she was done with that too and picked up some more history books. "Well, I have to say, ditch the cars. HOrses and all that are just fine for us. We don't have cars. That's why our world is cleaner, smells better too." Sais Mina as she wrinkled her nose in disgust. "WE get by just fine. Althouh, we also have warps, portals and the like so...oh well." She said, shruggin.

"Oh! Sweet! Car Manual!" She said as she poured over that book as well. Absorbing all the information she read.

[Atela Hoshi]

Vector chuckled. "Remind me not to lend her my car." John said jokinly. "So what are we going to do about her anyway? We will be leaving soon to analize all the data gathered."

"Not sure. Can't get through to the boss right now. He's in a meeting." Vector said as he looked at Mina. "Mina, how did you get here anyway?"

[Ari Neko]

Mina looked up from the Car manual that she was reading for the tenth time. "I poked a portal. It was strange and being a cat, I'm naturally curious. I poked the portal and it sucked me in." She said, shrugging. "They don't usually do that, so this one had to be dormate for years. Not usually that painful either." She said as she dropped the Car Manual on the ground.

Her ears twitched as she looked up and saw a large 747 plane fly by. She growled, "I hate planes. I may have not been in one, but something like that...defies nature.." She said as she sighed and picked up her pack and rummaged through it. In no time at all, she had pooled out a thermos of cool mint tea and took a sip from it.

"I'm a good worker and healer too. I worked at Healers Sactuary before this mess and the King Eric himself visted pleantly of times. Actually, I think that was only because of Susan...who is in denile of her true feelings. Stupid elf." She said with a laugh.

[Atela Hoshi]

John was loving all this information. Normaly he was the laziest of the researchers but someone that had heard of Atela and was from another relm certianly caught his attention.

"I guess you could call the planes our dragons of this relm." Vector said standing and shaking his head. "That still doesn't explain how Tela got sent there...." he said muttering as he paced. "She knew there was another relm. Finding out she was a queen and a dragon compleatly explains part of her behavior. Even the odd possisions. Blood taint...hmmmm...." he started to talk to himself outloud. (much like Dusk.)

[Ari Neko]

Mina laughed, "Atela was a kind ruler. She had her faults, but doesn't everyone." Said Mina as her ears twitched. She stood up and looked around, sniffing the air as she went. She wrinkled her nose and sneezed, "Gah! Too much!" She said, covering her nose. She looked around again, bored. "I'm bored...." She muttered, and pulled out a large black pot. One suitable for potions, sevrail ingridents and set to makeing a potion for healing.

Accourding to the history books she had read, humans were prone to accidents and she'd rather not waste her presious energy on making sure they didn't get fevers and what not. She smiled happily as she added a root from an oak tree and some mint for taste.

[Atela Hoshi]

"I got no doubt she was a great ruler. She was my right hand with running the research department here. Hell I think she did run it herself at time." Vector said sighing as he sat down. "Damn kid. I just wish I knew what that necklace had to do with all this.'

John watched Mina start the potion. he didn't take proper notes on this since he was too intreged by watching her. Ant and Chris came by to see what was going on as well. "The tent's set up." Chris said as he sat down.

[Ari Neko]

Mina blinked, "Tent? For what? Oh! Sleeping! That's right! You humans are prone to sickness from exposer." Said Mina as she pulled out a few bottles and started bottling the milky white potion. It's mint smell was appealling and made her smile happily of home.

Her ear twitched lightly north and she looked over there curiously, before hse shrugged, figuring out it was just a bunch of workers bickering over how to approuch the servent of Bast. She wasn't a servent of anybody, so she ignored them.

[Atela Hoshi]

Chirs chuckled. "It's also for you to change and sleep, Miss Mina." He said smiling as he watched her.

Vector continued reading as John started a book as well. They were talking low and mostly with hand signals. Ant caught some of it but wasn't really paying attention to them as he got back from putting Donny in his tent to rest. "So who get's to tell the boss?"

"I will as soon as I figure out what to tell him." Vector said putting it off as long as possible. It wasn't unusual for them to do.

[Ari Neko]

Mina laughed, "I could tell him, or rather, you could just show him. I don't mind." Said Mina happily. Her tail wrapped around an empty bottle and brought it to her and she took it in her hands and bottled the last of the mixture. "Um, that kid who passed out. If you want to revive him, you could use this. It's a healing potions. Cute, bruises, you name it. It's safe for humans to use. I made sure." She said as she put everything away, except for the bottles, which she put in a speacial case and into her back-pack.

"Oh! Thank you for the tent though! You were very thoughtful Nya!" She said smiling widly.

[Atela Hoshi]

Chirs took the potion from Mina. "I'll make sure Donny gets it. Strange guy that he is." Chris said as he bowed and headed back to Donny.

"Maybe when we get back to the manor in Greece but right now....He'll just have to listen and not believe us." Vector said smiling at Mina with a mischief.

"He enjoys tormenting the boss." John said laughing lightly.

[Ari Neko]

Mina rubbed the back of her head and tilted it to the side, curiously. Her ears twitching every now and then. "Nya?" She said, blinking. Then she shrugged, "Alright. That sounds like fun." Said Mina happily. "Greece seems like a wonderful place, simular to Rein or Rome if I read correctly. Though, totally populated by humans. Though, your Mythology reminds me of some of our history. So..." Mina trailed off.

She hmmed thoughtfully, "Well, whatever. It is your choice not mine." She said, shrugging.

[Atela Hoshi]

"Well it's either come with us to Greece or stay here in Egypt by yourself when we are done tomorrow." John said as Vector went back to reading. "It's not like we have much of a choise. Our contract is up tomorrow at noon. We got more than we expected."

"And not just your apperance." Ant added.

[Ari Neko]

Mina blushed and rubbed the back of her head sheepishly, " I love to read..." She said softly, then laughed. "I would love to come. Though...are we going by plane? I do not think I could get past all those....things. X-rays and what not." Said Mina, sighing.

"Well, I'll just summon Tala or Fire Claw if I can't make it past." Said Mina thoughtfully.

[Atela Hoshi]

"Actualy we got special clearance in the airspace between here and Greece." Vector said smiling behind the book. "Saves us trips through customs. They do come out to see what we are taking back to Greece and then they usualy just go about their business. We can find a way to sneek you on don't worry."

"Leave it to a professional thief to come up with the idea as well." John said looking at the still smiling Vector. "He's having way too much fun planning this."

Mina smiled, "I can tell." She said happily, "But if it is too much trouble, it wouldn't take me long to get there. I'll fly by the plane, well, not by it...my eardrums would pop, more or less in your line of site, but safe for my ears." Said Mina, thinking out loud. She hmmed softly. Then blinked as a small black and white cat appeared.

'You are new? Yet you smell and look like cat? Who are you?' It asked meowing. Mina smiled. 'I am Mina. A cat demon. Who are you little one?' She asked back in cat.

The cat smiled widly, 'I am silver tail. Pleasure to meet you Mina of cat demon.' She, the cat, said. 'Should you ever get lost call. I know this place well.' Silver tail said as it walked away.

'Will do.' Said Mina happily. She turned to others, "Such a friendly cat." She said happily.

Watching Mina speak with the cat caused Ant to laugh. "Oh she's going to have fun at the manor." He said smiling at John.

"Oh yeah." John said groaning. "I'm ceritan my niece will like her as well as all the cats around the manor."

"What about the dogs?" Vector asked blinking. "Oh gods...please tell me you won't terrorize them the way Gaston does?" He said looking at Mina.

Mina blinked lightly at Vector. "Oh! Well, I suppose not. I wouldn't want to annoy you, but if they bother me I have the right to make them silent." She said, her tail flicking back and forth. "I'll place a silent spell on them, not kill them." Said Mina, relizing that what she said may have been misinterpeted.

"So, who is Gaston? and why does he terroize dogs?" Said Mina curiously.

[Atela Hoshi]

Ant was too busy laughing as John took out his lap top and started it up. "Gaston is the reason why Yuri thinks you are a product of genetic science." Vector said trying to silence Ant.

"He was created 20 years ago by a scientist who was trying to play 'God'." John said bitterly remembering the condition Gaston had been brought in.

"Sorry. Gaston is funny when he's on cat nip." Ant said as he wiped his eyes. He was having really random memories at the moment.

"Anyway..." John said cringing at that memory, "Gaston is a mixture of human and black panther." He said as he turned the lap top towards Mina showing a picture of the young creation. "He likes to terrorize just about everything if he's not hacking into a computer system."

Mina looked at it, a sad look on her face. "That's horrible." She said, then looked down at the screen and laughed. "He kinda looks like my cousin Pytho. He is a panther demon." Said Mina lightly. She looked at the picture for a second longer, before louf purring made her look behind her.

Behind her, was a big ass cat! Well, to the humans anyway, in reality it was most likey a jaguar or something alike. It was a soft honey color with big black spots and purred at Mina. 'Hello Little one. I have heard from Silvertail of what you are. It has been too long since I spoke with your kind.' it said softly.

Mina bowed lightly and took her medum sized cat form so she could talk easier. 'It has been long, hasn't Mioka. To think you were banished to these relms.' Said Mina happily chating with her aunt.

Mioka laughed, 'It smells weird, but after 20 or so years you get used to it.' Said Mioka off-handly.

[Atela Hoshi]

It's a good thing John was quick or his laptop would have dropped. "Damn..." he said under his breath. Instead of going for his note book, he just opened a file on his lap top and started to type away.

Vector was watching with interst. He placed the book down and was quite intersted in the larger cat and Mina. ~She would be so calm about this if she was here. Something like this was always her department. Hell we got half of our information by studing her.~ He thought to himself.

Ant was staring with wide eyes. Kind of like a kid let loose in a candy store. "Wow."

[Ari Neko]

Mina laughed, or growled to the human ears, 'It does smell a bit bad doesn't it.' Said Mina. Mioka looked over across the desert.

'I'm afraid I can't stay long, my mate waits for me at the edge of this desert.' She said, when she turned back to Mina. 'I just came to see how you were doing and if you met anyone speacial?' Said Mioka nudging Mina with her paw. Mina blushed, though it was inviable thanks to her fur.

'Well, there's this nice guy called Panic! He saved me from Danu and well, I really love him. But he's not here. He's back in Kyoko.' Said Mina softly. Mioka purred. 'That is good. Anyway, you know how to call me.' She said.

Mioka tensed for a moment, before she shot out of the desert, a blur to human eyes. Mina laughed as she changed back to her human form, "Aunt Mioka is always good for a laugh." Said Mina as she turned back to the others.

[Atela Hoshi]

"That was your aunt?" Vector asked confused. "Why is she here instead of in Kyoko?" He asked her.

Ant was still trying to grasp the concept of Mina taking cat form. Gaston was still trying to get a hang of that aspect of his form when he found out by accident he could take on the form of a panther.

[Ari Neko]

"She got banished by the Head Council for loving a wolf demon." Said Mina sadly, "Which is cruel! Luckily, there's a new Head Council or I would be banished as well." Said Mina scratching the back of her head sheepishly thinking of Panic. Mina laughed nervously, "I..I didn't scare or freak you guys out...did I?" She said softly, "I'm really sorry if I did. I"m just kinda used to switching forms." She said in a sorry tone.

[Atela Hoshi]

"You freaked Ant out a little. Just made John start typing like a mad man and me think about Te." Vector said chuckling. "It's ok. We run into weird stuff while we are researching so it's not too shocking to some of us...though Donny would have passed out again."

[Ari Neko]

Mina laughed, " Well, I'll try not to do that too often." Said Mina back to her happy self. Mina then, hmmed again. "I wonder if anyone has noticed me gone yet..." She said softly, looking up at the darkening sky. She sighed softly, then yawned, having been up since the crack of dawn two days ago and not sleeping cause she was midly insane...accourding to Panic. Panic...man I miss you... She said, sighing again.

"A sigh like that normaly means you are thinking of someone." a female's voice said.

"Hey Karen. Got everything put up?" John said as he looked at the young woman.

"Yep. Got the explosives put back up. And I found somethings for Kim to play with when we get back." The demolishoinst said with a nod.

"Wonderful, what did you find for her now?" Ant sighed thinking about the booms.

"Some rocks that make a nice sparkle when they explode." Karen said smirking.

[Ari Neko]

Mina blushed lightly, "I was thinking about Panic. He and I are..uh..courting I guess you could say." Said Mina blushing more. I need to keep my mouth shut She thought idly to herself. "He's a Panic demon and loves to startle me into a mild panic attack one moment and cuddle me the next. He so...weird!" She said laughing at the memory.

"I also miss my friends. My allies. My family..." She said softly, "They...were always there for me, so it feels weird without one of them near." She sighed again and sat down on the soft sandy floor.

[Atela Hoshi]

Karen went over and gave Mina a small hug. "Don't worry, we'll figure out away to get you back to your home." She said smiling. "But you got to cheer up. At least that portal didn't make you land in a place that eats cats."

Ant stuttered before falling over again. "KAREN! That's not funny!" He scolded.

"Who said I was being funny." She said glaring at Ant. "I'm being serious here. She could have landed in a swamp, snake pit, the middle of the ocean..."

"We get the point." Vector said.

[Ari Neko]

Mina stiffened, "People eat cats?!?!" She said, looking appaled. Actually, she was also really pale. "That's horrible! How would people feel if cats ate humans! But...we don't...you guys don't taste too good." Said Mins, wrinkling her nose in disgust. "...Or so I've heard. It's a......speacial taste." She said.

Mina sighed, "Snakes wouldn't be a problem, nor would the middle of the Ocean." She said messing with a scorpion on the desert floor. It tried, twice, to sting her, before she picked it up and flung it away so it wouldn't sting anyone.

"Some people do...." Ant groaned as Karen watched the flying scorpion.

"Don't worry about it." Karen said. "We get her, you guys." she said glaring at Vector, John and Ant suddenly.

"We found her." Ant prostested.

"No way. She's staying with us girls. There is no way she is staying in the death trap you guys keep in your side of the manor." Karen said as she waved a stick of dynemite at them.

Mina blinked, "Um?" She asked looking at them all, her ears flat on her head. "What are you guys talking about?" She asked, curious. "Manor? What manor?" She asked.

"I'm confused..." She said, scratching the back of her head. Her tail twitched side to side softly as she looked up at them all.

[Atela Hoshi]

"The manor back in Greece. It's were we all live at." Karen said to Mina. "These guys," she said waving at the three, "And the others live in one part of the manor while us girls live in another part. Well our sleeping quarters are in diffrent areas. We all have free reign of the manor as long as nothing gets blown up or other wise destroied."

Mina nodded, "Oh! Okay, I get it!" Said Mina, "So you guys were just now fighting over which side of the Manor I would resign...correct? If so, I think I'll stick with the girls." Said Mina, laughing a bit.

[Atela Hoshi]

Karen stuck her tongue out at the guys. "Hey..where's Yuri at?" She asked smirking a little.

"I had Quin take him out of the dig so you'll have to find them at their tents." Vector said not liking that smirk on the explosive experts face.

"Thanks, Ve." She said as she litteraly skipped off.

"What's she got planned this time?" Ant asked aloud watching Karen head towards the tents.

"Oh Yuri, got a question." Karen said as she stopped outside his tent.

Yuri mumbled something and step out of the tent and asked Karen with a slight growl, "What do you want?"

Mina growled lightly, but was to silent for Yuri to here. "pig." She muttered in cat and looked off into the vast desert.

Quin came out behind Yuri and walked over to Ant. "What's going on with the cat demon? Anything intereseting I missed?" He asked as he took a swig of his drink.

Ant chuckled to Quin. "Well she took cat form." He said smirking. "And she's got a lot of history books from her home."

Karen smirked wildly again as she took out a small king cobra that she had found and some how tamed ((odd woman she is O_O)). "Think Kim would like a snake as a pet? Or would you rather have this?" She asked almost innocently. "I'm sure it would prove to be an intersting moving target for you."

Vector and John just groaned and shook their heads.

[Ari Neko]

Yuri jumped back and swore loudly, "What the hell! Keep that thing away from me and my baby sis! Your gonna kill her one of these days!" He shouted as he stomped back in the tent.

Quin sputtered and choked on his soda, "She took a what! Dammit! And I missed it! Crudation!" He said, swearinf in latin.

Mina giggled silently, her body swaying to the msic only she could hear. She smiled happily up at the first stars in the sky and couldn't help but giggle again.

Karen laughed as she went over to the edge of the camp and released the small cobra.

"You had to do that didn't you?" John sighed as Karen smiled at him.

"Of course." She laughed.

"Yeah. You missed it. Hey, John, did you capture it?" Ant asked curious.

"No...wait I caught her changeing back." He said as he typed away on his lap top again. "Here ya go, Quin." He turned it so Quin could watch what his camera got of Mina's transformation.

Quin looked over at the computer and dropped his soda can, "Woah...man. That is cool." He said as he looked down at the remains of his spilt soda. He sighed and picked it up, throwing it the trash as he headed back to the tent for a new soda.

Mina looked over John's shoulder and looked at the picture, "Weirdness." She said softly, before she smiled and looked at the computer. "Can I see that for a sec, I promise I won't break it or damage it or anything of the sort. I promise!" She said, giving him the cat version of the puppy dog eyes.

John thought about it a moment. He saved his stuff, making sure if anything crashed he'd beable to retrieve it later...or have Gaston do it. "Here you go." he said handing the laptop to Mina.

"Wow this is a first. John are you feeling ok?" Ant asked as he went over and felt John's head. "no...no fever." John pushed Ant away as Vector laughed.

Mina smiled and set the laptop carefully on her lap and in a mere seconds later, her fingers were flying across the keys. Names, dates, codes and the like filtered across the screen, as she did so. "Hmmmm." She said thoughtfully as she paused in her typing, before she went back to it. "The Untied Embassy..." She mumbled, then looked at the others. "Is it bad if I just hacked into the United Embassy?" She asked, curious.

Quin, who had just gotten back from the tent, spit out his soda at Mina's words. "WHAT!" He yelled, his eyes growing big. "B..b..but you've never..useda computer!!" He said, striding up to look at the page.

John's jaw dropped as Vector fell off his rock. Ant just fell back. "Oh man...she's as bad as Gaston. he did the same damed thing except he hacked into the White House." John said as he stared at Mina still. "Yes that is a very bad thing....."

"Well, what do we do now?" Ant asked as Vector went over and sat by Mina.

"Try to make sure they can't trace it back to John's comp." Vector said seriously.

Mina blinked, "They can't, I went through a back door." Said Mina "And used a a code for someone elses computer that I stole out of so me site. Can't remember which." She blinked her finger flicking a few keys and she was out. "I'm out." She said, almost sadly. "I'll try not to do that again." She said smiling, before she turned her attention back to the comp.

Quin looked at Mina, then at John. "What's up with people besides me, being able to hack with ease..." He mumbled as he grabbed a napkin and wipped off his chin.

"Me, Gaston and Mina seem to do it with ease, Quin. It takes Vector some time still and I wouldn't trust Ant hacking into a damned thing." John said staring still.

"Well if we can't get her back, she can always train under Gaston in the hacking department." Vector said rubbing the back of his head. "NOt sure if Alexander would like it though...."

Mina smiled and laughed somewhat at something, before her fingers clicked a few more keys and she was out of that site and onto another. "Fasinating..." She said as her eyes ran over codes upon codes upon codes of random shit.

Quin looked at John with a half glare, "Still! I think being able to hack would me mega awsome! Sadly, it is a talent I lack..." HE mumbled as he watched the computer screen from behind Mina's shoulder. "Dude, please don't hack into the White House, Gastro did that and I would rather not go through that again." He said as Mina paused. Her shoulders sagged.

"Alright..." She mumbled and switched to google.

John couldn't help but chuckle. He didn't want to go through that mess again either. It was hard to explain how it got hacked in the first place let alone trying to keep Gaston a secret.

"Dinner's ready!" a young girl's voice called out over to them.

"That late already?" Vector said looking up to see the sun was begining to set.

Mina looked up, "Er... dinner?" Said Mina as she closed down the tabs and looked at John. "Here you go John, thanks for letting me use your computer. It was really...interesting." Said Mina as she handed it over.

Quin smiled, "Hmmmm, Dinner. I wonder what she made..." He mumbled as he walked over to where the voice called from. Mina looked at the stars, a little un-sure of wether to follow or go hunting on her own.

'It's safer staying here with us, Mina. This land is new to you and you could easily get lost." Vector said gently.

"And Emily's the best cook around." John said a little proudly.

"And her being your niece doesn't cloud your judgement at all does it, John." Ant laughed earning a slight glare from John as he put his computer up. "Just joking."

Emily had the tables in the dinning tent set up with chicken, fish and some beef. All were roasted with diffrent herbs. The fish had a lemon flavor to it, the chicken a basil and the beef was more of a bbq flavor. There was plenty of fruit they had kept in stock on the plane and there was diffrent veggies as well. Some raw soem cooked. She was setting up the drink glasses.

Mina looked hesitant, her ears down, before she nodded, drawn by te smell of the food. "A...alright." She said, as she followed them to the table. She looked at all the food, un-sure of what was good or not as she was not fimilar with some things. The fruits though looked good, so if worst came to wrost, she'd havve some fruit.

Emily looked over at Mina and got the biggest smile on her face. "A kitty!" She said happily.

"And to think she's a teenager...." Ant said earning a smack on the head from John.

"Hi! I heard we had a guest but no one told me what to fix." Emily said when she got over to Mina. "I got some milk and some other stuff I can fix if that would suit you better. It won't take long."

Mina shook her head, "T..that's alright. I'm fine. The fish looks good." She said softly, smiling lightly at Emily. "I wouldn't want to bother you with something like that." Mina sat down softtly, her tail wrapped around her small waist as she looked over the food. It was true, the fish did look good, but she didn't want to start eating till everyone else so as not to appear rude.

Appearing Rude was obviously not worring to Yuri or Quin, who helped themselves to some fruit, beef and chiken, before taking big bites of all three.

Ant had a plate and was already eating as well. Chris and Donny entered the tent together. Donny chuckled as Emily glomped Chris. John bit his tongue as the Vector and Karen chuckled.

"At least they aren't hidding their relationship, John." Donny said as he sat down.

"True." John sighed as he and Vector got plates as well.

"Eat up everyone!" Emily said as Chris took his seat. She went about filling the drink cups and making sure everyone was doing ok before she took her own seat.

Mina paused, before she took some chiken, fish and fruits. She took a small bite of the fish and swallowed. It was good, but the fish tasted diffrent then the ones she was used too. She took a bit of the chiken and liked it, but the fruit she liked the best. The apples were crisp and juicy and the grapes firm and ripe. She smiled happily as she popped one into her mouth. "It's good..." She mumbled softly to herself.

Karen was talking to Emily about keeping the fish bones. "Why would you want to do that?" Emily asked confused.

"Give them to Kim and see what she can come up with." Karen said happily.

"You and your bombs...." Emily said sighing. "Do you want the chicken and cow bones too?" Karen's eyes lit up. "Ok....I'll take that as a yes."

[Ari Neko]

Mina had finished with her meal, not that hunger as she had felt a moment before and looked off across the desert. She heard something outside, but it was soft and the scent fimiliar. "If you'll excuse me." She murmered, walking outside. She sall Aunt Mioka.

Mina quickly changed form and walked with her for a time, before they stopped a ways from camp. 'Is there something wrong Aunt Mioka?' She asked softly, sitting by her. Her pale white fur shining softly in the darkness.

'Nothing, just wanted to talk to you about somethings.' She replied, her tail flicking softly. 'Duna, is he giving you problems?' she asked, making Mina wince.

'No, he has been silent, except for the ocasion hiss and growl.' She told her, making her Aunt nod her head. They stayed silent for a time, listening to the soft night calls.

'This...Panic. he is not a cat demon...is he?' She asked softly, making Mina lower her head. 'Times have changed Mioka. I may mate with whom I wish.' She replied softly, making the cat demon growl in agitation. She winced, but did not move away.

[Atela Hoshi]

Emily started to clean up some of the empty plates and cups as people started to calm down in their eating. She was humming to herself as she thought about her report she'd have to turn in to class. "Hey Chris got your report done yet?" She called out.

"Yes I do. Got it finished along with the rest of my homework." he called back.

"Good for you two....want to do mine for the boss?" Ant asked Chris earning a punch in the arm.

"Were did Mina go?" Vector asked to himself.

[Ari Neko]

There was silence, before Mioka spoke again, 'You should not mate with him. He will lead you down a path of ruin. Even if your heart aches for him, crush it and move on.' She said, looking across the desert.

Mina growled, 'I will not! I love Panic very much. He has saved me countless times once from Danu and sevral times from Duna and my nightmares.' She replied hastily. Mioka growled again, making Mina's ears go down.

'You are walking down a pa th of ruin! There isn't a day that I do no think about my home, about my family! All because of a stupid wolf demon who left me some...common animal!' She growled out. 'Now I have a mate with a common cat. I want to go home, but I am banished! If you wish for that! Then stay here and say your goodbyes to Kyoko!' She hissed, her anger boiling above the surface.

'Mioka! Times have changed and so has the laws! I may mate with whoever I wish!' She hissed back. Mioka growled, 'This Panic, he is not a true demon, but one of emotions! Do not think I have not heard! I forebid what realtion ship you have! It is...a disgrace!' She hissed out. Mina growled angrily.
