Shalandra Dreys stood up and stretched her back. She had been bent over for the past hour digging. Unfortunately, she hadnt found anything, which while expected, didnt bode well for her research

"Hey SD you find anything?" came a male voice from the next hole over.
"No nothing. Im not sure if we're deep enough or its just in the wrong place. I was sure it was here" she replied
"yea, well, we've been digging here for days and found nothing. Lets just face it; the Temple didnt survive" replied the voice again, closer now. Shalandra looked up to the distant top of her dig site. There was a relatively handsome face staring down at her, the face of long time friend Juro Heinlend.

Shalandra climbed the ladder out of her digsite and walked over to a large cluster of computers and work stations. Several people were on Satellite phones and others were typing away, while even more were writing things down.

They were at the Ruins of the Old City of Rome. It was the largest archaelogical dig site in the world, mostly because the city had been so well preserved, and yet buried on so many levels. Only about 1/16th of the old city was dug up so far, but never the less it was the greatest spot to be to learn about the ancient days of the Roman Empire.
Shalandra was a 22 year old college student, and her area of expertise was on the Roman Pantheon, which survived the millennia. She was looking for the City of Rome Temple, which at the time of its existance was the largest and most important temple. The problem was, nobody knew where it was, or if it was even in the City at all.

"Just give it up will you. There's so much more about the city to discover then the old Temple" Juro urged
"Im telling you its here in the City. I intend to find it!" she said with a fiery passion as she listened to the Walkie-talkie chatter
