Desert Plains

[Yumi Kyoshi]

Matt stood tall, a violin on his shoulder. He wore nothing but black in the grassy fields, looking distant in the shadows of the old cabin. A while off stood a limp willow tree.
The bow slid gently against the violin's strings. A soft cry chimmed.

[Atela Hoshi]

Korri stood by Shiva, Luke and Nate dressed in the same black attire as the rest of the company it seemed. Her eyes never left her mistress who had gone into a deep sorrow. It was almost like Shiva didn't know what was going on or that she knew and was just hiding with in herself. Luke kept slightly hidden in the folds of Shiva's cape as if he was hiding from the events taking place. Ifrit and Dusk were the unfortunate ones to bear Pyro's body to this solomn place.

Nate's eyes fell to the ground, red from the tears. His hands were tearing a sheet of paper.

Matt continued to play the tune. His eyes were fixed on the funeral, but the song played silently, turning into a swift note and falling back to its original pace.

Vincent stood at the back of the crowd. His black cloak shrouded his face and covered his eyes that had turned into a deep black over the long days.
"Poor fool," the murderer whispered to himself.

[Atela Hoshi]

Shiva watched as Dusk and Ifrit lowered Pyro's body into the freashly dug grave. How she wished that Atela and Akia were here to comfort her yet both of them had already gone ahead of her.

"Shiva!" Koori called out as the ice demon started to fall to her knees unable to hold herself up any longer. The ice mist caught her just as Luke got out of the way. "Oh dear..." Koori whispered as she felt how warm Shiva's body was. Luke moved closer to Nate, wiping tears from his eyes.

"Time touches everyone... there is no escape from it or death." Chronos said softly from where he watched the events.

Matt's eyes darted to Shiva. A screech from the violin as he jumped.

Nate held his brother close to him.
"Mom, are you alright?"

Vincent looked at her and then looked back at the grave as the violin continued

"I... I will be... eventualy." Shiva got out as she tried once more to compose herself. She rested against Koori afraid to move afraid to do much of anything now.

"This sucks..." Ise muttered from where she was at. She had been helping take care of Nate and Luke while Shiva fell to this dispare.

Ifrit closed his eyes a moment as Dusk placed the first of the dirt over the body unable to do so himself. Dusk had burried his own wife and children one time long ago so to him this... was unfortunatly another life that death decided needed to end.

Matt ended the song and bowed low as the grave was finished.

Nate leaned against his mother and hugged his brother tightly.

Vincent stood and walked over to Shiva, holding out a blue rose.
"I am sorry for your loss and hope all will be well in your future. Just call if you ever need anything," he said, walking off.

[Atela Hoshi]

((O_O Oh really? What is it? *hops up and down in curiosity*))

Shiva took the rose and held it close to her. "Thank you, Vincent..." she said softly then wrapped her arms around the two boys.

Dusk finished covering Pyro as Ifrit walked away. He couldn't handle it any longer. Dusk wiped the sweat from his brow and turned as well to leave.

"Mistress... we should go as well...." Koori said gently though Shiva refused to move.

[Yumi Kyoshi]

((XD he loves to randomly appear))

"I wonder if we should light some candles..."
Synn hung upside down on one of the tree's branches that stretched over Pyro's grave.
"then he can see fire when he is dead too!"

Nate clung to his mother, growling.

Matt snarled and made the violin disappear.

[Atela Hoshi]

((Not good timing... lol))

Shiva froze as both boys clung to her. She wasn't sure if she was truly scared of this mad man or just... too depressed to deal with him.

"This is not the time for such actions." Dusk said stopping in his tracks, his eyes glowing a bit. "Have some respect for his family though you have no respect for him."

Synn stared at Dusk for a long moment before laughing silently.
"I don't know you!" he smiled. "Besides, I am family. I believe he would want his big brother at his funeral....once upon a time."

Matt growled. "Leave before I make you leave."

[Atela Hoshi]

Dusk glanced at Synn and growled a bit. "You are the one who killed him. Wouldn't you think that is enough torment for his wife and children?" He asked his voice going quite cold. "Then again, I can not speak much about that. I, too killed my brother, but his funneral I did not attend.. .there was no body to give last rites to." He said grinning a bit demonicaly.

Luke shivered and clung to Shiva tighter.

"I felt it necessary to attend. He was my little brother.....I brought a flower," Synn said, holding up a nearly dead rose. "Only thing in my price range. I should at least be welcomed for the consideration. Besides, no one really liked him...except his wife and kids....and that violinist."

[Atela Hoshi]

"He had more than that to like him." Dusk said as Ifrit's growl could be heard. "But as this is a time of sorrow, no punches shall be thrown here at the site... off of it is another matter." He warned as he felt the sudden need to have his ass kicked.... just to kick someone elses ass.

[Yumi Kyoshi]

Synn pouted.
"The fact that I am unwanted hurts. And to think, I was about to apologize to my sister-in-law and offer to help the pain, but fuck that now," he said, crossing his arms.
He jumped up as a random cello was thrown at him.
"I have a lot of band instruments!" Matt said

[Atela Hoshi]

"You can not help with such pain. Don't you realize that?" Dusk asked looking at the fire demon. "That kind of pain never ends. NEVER! It only dulls." He said his hands clenched in fists.

"Stop please." Shiva said her voice low. "I don't want any fighting today..."

[Yumi Kyoshi]

"I said help, not stop," Synn sighed, climbing up the tree.
He reappeared behind Shiva, smiling.
"Tell you what, sis"-Synn put an arm on he shoulder- "if you feel the need to kill me or stop by and visit, I'll be near Rein."

Nate growled low and clutched his hands tightly.

[Atela Hoshi]

Ifrit froze as he saw Synn that close to the kids and Shiva whom he concidered his sister. Dusk kept his cool... er... some what and watched with deadly eyes. Inside though he admired the guts this demon had and wondered just how insane he truly was... and if he'd be a neat person to hang out with.

Shiva gave a very weak nod. "If I feel the need..." she said quietly. She didn't have the strength at the moment to do anything other than sit there. "But... if I decide to try and kill you, dont' go easy on me... I want a full out fight." she added after a moment.

[Yumi Kyoshi]

"Thats fine. I have no interest on going easy on you. Full on fights are fun," Synn smiled. "I'll see you soon. Bye.....umm....don't know your names!"
He let go and walked off, humming happily.
"Mom....I hate him," NAte mummbled.

[Atela Hoshi]

Shiva hugged Nate more. "I know, Nate. I know." Shiva said softly with a sigh. She closed her eyes and with Koori's help, stood on shaking legs. "We should head home... I... need to rest." She said softly.

Luke looked at Nate with worry. "Will mom be ok?" He asked in a hushed whisper.

[Yumi Kyoshi]

"I think so. She is mom," Nate said, walking behind his mother.
Matt put up the random instruments of doom and ran over to them.
"Shiva....will you be alright? Matt will help," he offered.

[Atela Hoshi]

Shiva smiled weakly at Matt. "Any help will be welcome, Matt. I will be ok in time... I just feel lost..." She said quietly.

Koori frowned and looked down a bit not certian what to do.

[Yumi Kyoshi]

"It will be well soon. Matt thinks Pyro would want you to smile, even after this happened," he said. "Right, Koori?"

[Atela Hoshi]

"Right, Matt." Korri said nodding with a slight smile.

Shiva gave them both small smiles and hugged her boys. "Let's go home..." She said not sure how she was going to cope really.

[Yumi Kyoshi]

((Know what....I'm going to make Nate a little emo child.....it will be fun))

Matt looked at Koori and walked to stand beside her.

Nate hugged back, but remained behind his mother as they walked.

Shiva sighed quietly as she started out of the desert, pausing only once to look back.

"She's going to be in shock for awhile." Koori whispered to Matt. "And the kids... I don't know what to expect..."

[Yumi Kyoshi]

"It will be hard on the three of them. Give it a few years and all will be as close to normal as we can ever hope it to be. I want another instrument to throw at that ass," Matt sighed.

[Atela Hoshi]

"Where did you get all those instruments any way?" Koori asked as Ise joined them. "I mean... where did you pull them all out of?"

Ise gave an insterstng smirk. "I can think of a few places.. and none of them appropriate." She eeped as Koori threw ice at her.

[Yumi Kyoshi]

"I don't know ^_^ They appeared out of no where and I started throwing them...saved my violin though," Matt smiled, making it appear.
He took hold of the neck and slid the bow gently across the strings.

[Atela Hoshi]

Koori smiled as she listened to it. "I love the sound of the violin." She said blushing a bit. "Always have. It has such a soothing sound."

[Yumi Kyoshi]

"Love it when I'm in town. A lot of people will listen," Matt smiled. "What is your favorite song, Koori?"

[Atela Hoshi]

Koori tilted her head a moment as she thought. "Really I dont have a favorite one." She said blushing. "Anything with the violin is my favorite." She giggled a bit. "I can't pinpoint any one song..."

[Yumi Kyoshi]

"Well....any favorite tunes? Like a happy one or a sad one?" Matt asked. "And what is your favorite flower? Stone?"

[Atela Hoshi]

"I like happy tunes. My favorite flowers are violets and stone is Jasper." Korri said as she smiled, walking with Matt.

[Yumi Kyoshi]

"Kay. And last question, want to go out tonight?" Matt asked.

[Atela Hoshi]

"Sure. What time?" Koori asked blushing a little.

Shiva had heard them talking and some how.. it made her feel a little better knowing that some things were still the same...

[Yumi Kyoshi]

"Maybe around seven. Meet me at the lake in the forest?" Matt smiled.

[Atela Hoshi]

'Alright. I'll see you there." Koori said smiling as she felt strangely happy for the events that had happened lately.

[Yumi Kyoshi]

"Kay, I'll see you then. I;ve got chores to finish up"-he hurried up to meet Shiva- "I hope everything will be alright. I will only be a doorstep away if you need anything."
Matt waved and kissed Koori's cheek, turning into a humming bird and flying off.
