The World of Dreams Those who are Dreamers sometimes touch this place. Dreamwalkers can enter and leave almost at will and shape the world to their purpose. This is also where Wolf Brothers go when they dream, although to them it is simply the Wolf Dream.
A useful tool to those who can use it, it is none the less a world of danger to those don't know what they are doing...

Arafel This border nation lies just west of Shienar and the men are easily recognisible by their distinctive hairstyle. Worn in 2 long braids, usually with silver bells on the braidends, the men tend to make a faint musical chiming sound as they walk. Arafellins are pale-skinned with unusually large eyes. They are the swordsmen of the border nations, usually wearing two swords strapped to their backs, one hilt over each shoulder and capable of wielding both at the same time, one in each hand.

Kandor Located between Arafel and Saldaea, they are more known for their trade and commerce, even though their martial arts are as finely honed as in any border nation; the Kandori men are easily spotted by their distinctive forked beards, as well as wearing one to three silver chains over their coats.

Saldaea The largest of the border nations, Saldaeans are known for their distinctively almond-shaped eyes and their military prowess, they are in fact the finest light cavalry in the whole world. The woman are as fierce as the men, do not draw steel unless you intend to use it.

Shienar It is a last bastion of civilisation on the razor's edge of the bleak corruption of the blight and the dangers of the Aiel Waste. Winters here are cold enough to cause trees to burst open as their sap freezes, yet only a short distance away the Blight swelters in unnatural heat oppresive enough to drain a strong man's will. The men of Shienar are easily recognisable by the topknot they have their hair in, and they are certainly the finest heavy calvary in the land.

Andor The largest nation of the land, it is also the oldest, and has close ties with the White Tower; by law the Daughter-heir goes to the Tower to study. At this time, the Queen has vanished and is believed dead, but by whose hand is still unknown.

The Black Tower Located on what was once a huge farm near the capitol of Andor, this is the place for men to come if they either know how to channel or wish to learn ... but who would want to? Not much is known about what happens behind the black walls surrounding it; you either come out as an Asha'man ... or not at all A little something added to your wine the common method of dealing with those who have decended into insanity from the taint.

Amadicia Lying south of the Mountains of Mist, between Tarabon and Altara; it is the home of the Children of the Light (known as Whitecloaks) who rule more completely than the 'rightful' ruler. Aes Sedai give this nation a wide berth for good reason; channeling and channelers are outlawed here, the punishment is death by hanging.

Cairhien In this nation, it pays to watch not only what you say or do, but also what you dont; since in Cairhien, the locals believe that nothing is as it seems; everything has a deeper meaning, a hidden motive. The Game of Houses; or Daes Dae'mar as it is known was said to have been born here, all because of nobles emulating the style of intrigue created by the White Tower so long ago.

Far Madding A city that is similar to a stedding in the fact that channellers cannot either sense or embrace the source when within its boundaries. Aes Sedai are loath to enter the city due to the inability to sense the source.

Murandy Andor to the North and Altara to the south, Murandians are very distrustful of outsiders, especialy Andorans. The king seldom has any control over anything that might occur here; watch your back.

Tar Valon Located is a vast region of unclaimed territory, Tar Valon is not truly a nation. It is a large city located in the center of a river.. and home of the White Tower. The shadow of Dragonmount is ever visible, reaching for but never touching the shining city. The White Tower occupiesthe center of the city and is the home of the Aes Sedai. It pays to watch your step around them. The few poor males who can channel and realise it give the city a LARGE berth as the Red Ajah still gentle any they come across, even if you were on route to the Black Tower... old habits die hard.

Altara A nation that is unified only in name, so much so that even the nobles seem to care little about their nation, seldom paying taxes or paying lip service to the Crown. There are however a proud people who will fight a duel at the drop of a hat. Highborn or low, man or woman, all are equal on the dueling grounds.

Arad Doman Ah yes, the home of the legendary Domani women, only the Sea Folk can come with more sensual grace, and no other woman can compare to a Domani when it comes to practicing the art of seduction, which mothers start teaching their daughters as soon as they can walk it seems. They wear dresses that show nothing but hint at everything; barely opaque that cling to every curve. Few men will come off the victor in trade with a Domani woman, but they often consider losing worth the experience.

Ghealdan This is a nation in turmoil ever since the Prophet of the Lord Dragon came to Ghealdan. Towns have been burned in the riots resulting from clashes between the followers of the Prophet and the Whitecloaks. Be very wary of who you deal with here, you might find yourself on the wrong side, depending on who you run into.

Illian Bordering the nations of Altara and Murandy, it is wealthy from sea-, land-, and riverborne trade. During the Whitecloak war, it protected Altara so that it would be a buffer between Illian and Amadicia. The Hunt for the Horn of Valere is called from here when rumors grow numerous. Currently the Hunt is one and people from all nations swarm to take the Hunter's Oath... so far no-one has returned with it.

Mayene An independant city-state hemmed in between the Drowned Lands and Tear, it has fought off many annexation attempts by Tear. It's independance rests on their one major asset, its secret oilfish shoals, producing an oil that rivals those made in Tear, Illian and Tarabon.

Tarabon This nation lies just south of the disputed Almoth Plain, for over 300 years Tarabon has been squabbling with Arad Doman over it, finally coming to all-out war. Unfortunately, it is also fighting against the Dragonsworn at the same time. The Guild of the Illuminators can be found here as well.

Tear Located east of Illian, it contains the greatest port on the Sea of Storms. The High Lords of Tear rule from the Stone of Tear, believed to be the oldest stronghold of mankind. There is a long-rooted distrust of channellers; anyone who gain the ability to channel are sent away the same day they are discovered, and are discouraged from returning.
