So there I was, flicking through the New Scientist, when I came across the (now ended) Feedback scientific chat up lines competition. Some of the winning entries:
"You are definitely the woman of my REM phase"
"Would there be any resistance if I asked to take you ohm?"
"Would kissing you increase global warming and damage the Arctic irreversibly, or is it just enough to break the ice?"
"Baby, you must be a start codon, because you're turning me on."
"I love the way you smell so different from my dad."
And my favourite:
"Meiosis?"
So, anyone got any more? How would you chat up a Physicist? A Biologist? A Geologist? An Archaeologist? Do share. Here's my archaeology based bit of lovin' to start things off:
"I'd like to check out your stratigraphy!" "Tell me, do you see us in the same context?" "I've got the carbon, you've got the argon: let's date."
And so on.
