Plot

The setting is 2007, New York, Earth, and trouble is brewing. The forces of Evil have long waited for the time when Heaven will be over-thrown and Demons shall rule the earth. Now they are on the move. The Angels must stand strong while the Demons and forces of darkness plague the city, seeking to corrupt Mortals into joining forces with them and rising up against Heaven. At the same time, the Angels must work harder than ever to ensure that Mortals stay on the path of righteousness and enter Heaven when they die.

It will not be long until the final battle commences, when the Angels and Demons collide and fight for dominance, when Satan emerges from the Nineth Level of Hell and steps foot on the battle field. Because it now clear to all, that the place where the final battle shall take place, is Earth.

Most Wanted Lists
Each side has a Most Wanted list for their enemies, any Angels or Demons that appear on these wanted lists must beware of the other Angels or Demons coming after them, as many rewards are offered for their succesfull capture/destruction. Woe is the person who appears on both lists, on the run from both waring sides...



Sides

The sides are very clear, there's Good, Evil and Neutral. But what might not be so clear is how the races fit into these sides. The basic standings are:

Dark (Satan and the Grim Reaper)

Demon
Shifter
Dark Half-ling

Neutral
Mortal
Rogue Demon
Rogue Angel


Although, any race has the choice of turning their back on their own side and going over to the other, and any of the Neutral races could easily chose a side, however in the case of Mortals, this would only aply to Mortals who were either The Gifted or had been told of the existance of Angels and Demons.

Races

EDIT: A Note About Souls
The general idea here is that every soul is either born in Heaven or Hell when either an Angel or Demon become pregnant. This soul will grow into either an Angel or Demon (depending on its parents) and can live for many, many years, until the Angel or Demon it has become is killed. When that Angel/Demon dies the soul become re-incarnated in a new born body down on earth and lives a normal Mortal life until they die/are killed. They then go to Heaven or Hell to live out an afterlife as the person they were on earth. When that Angel/Demon is killed, the circle starts again.

Only characters born in Heaven or Hell to Angel/Demon parents will be new souls, any Angels/Demons that have died on earth and gone to Heaven/Hell will have had a past incarnation or even many incarnations.

God
Quite obvious really, he's the almighty one, watches over everything, comands the Angels, created everything we know etc. (Note: Please do not apply to play God, I will assign this possition to a Role Player that I believe will not abuse it, so stay a while and prove how skilled you are, and I may pick you.)

The Angel of Death
Azreal, he collects souls that he believes to be Good and brings them to the Purgatory Courts where they shall be judged. If the soul is deemed to be Good, he shall escort them to Heaven, if they are Evil, the soul shall be handed over to the Grim Reaper to take to Hell.

Archangel
They are the oldest, strongest and wisest of all the Angels. They are Generals of The Army of God and rule over the Influences. There are seven Archangels excluding Azreal. They generally possess at least two pairs of wings to distinguish themselves from regular Angels who only have one pair, except for Michael who has been rumoured to posess three pairs, but few have ever seen them. The Archangels reside on Level Nine of Heaven, and are the only Angels who are permitted to come and go from the Palace of God as they please. Angel
The Angels all have a mostly Human-like appearance, the only things that distinguishes them apart from Mortals are their white wings and Holy auror. Angels are Good spirits who reside in Heaven, once they enter the Gates of St Peter they must attend the Academy to learn about their new purpose and to train in an afterlife career. The Angels can become Watchers, Messengers, Heavenly Muses, Influences, Guardians or Fighters. A common trait in all the Angel occupations is the ability to hide their wings and appear Mortal, only The Gifted Mortals have the ability to see past these disguises when they are down on earth. All Angels, but particularly the Guardians have the ability to appear to Mortals in dreams, this is the only acceptable way that a Angel may reveal themselves to a Mortal, and there will still be doubt in the Mortal's mind about whether it was actually real, and shall leave it to a question of faith.

Mortal
Being a Mortal is pretty straight foreward. They live in ignorance about the actual existance of Angels and Demons, sometimes even the most devout Christian would be disbelieving if someone came up to them and claimed to have seen an Angel. They continue on with their lives unaware that both Angels and Demons are fighting over their souls. They are easily influenced, that is why the Angels and Demons have to work so hard to keep them on a certain path, the Demons wanting to turn them to Evil, the Angels wanting to keep them on the path of Good, and they each have to try and undo the work of the opposite side. However, some Mortals possess special powers, those who are The Gifted have powers to see the Angels and Demons around them, and are able to sense a Demon or Angel if they are disguised as a human. These special Mortals have the choice to join the forces of Evil of Good, however some try to deny their gifts and continue on with their lives trying to ignore the truth. It is clear that the Mortals will soon have a great part to play in the upcoming war, as it is already clear that the battle field shall be on earth. Half-lings
Half-lings are the products of unions between different races, whether they are half-angel, half-mortal or half-demon, half-shifter or any other combination you can think up. They, like Mortals, have the choice to join Good or Evil, or simply remain Neutral and carry on with their lives. You may be as creative as you like when crossing species, as long as you cross the Races that have been specified and not any that have not been made Cannon.

Demon
Their appearances vary, they can have a multitude of skintones when in full Demon form, and their general appearances (hair colour, body shape, facial characteristics) are entirely up to you. The only common trait with all Demon is the fact that they have horns, the size, shape and colour are your choice, they just have to have them. Demons work against the Angels in trying to encourage Mortals to sin. They are violent and mischevous and revel in chaos and distruction. They fight dirty and are prone to random acts of violence towards Mortals. They, like the Angels, have the ability to hide their Demonic appearances when up on earth, the only catch is that their horns remain, causing them to wear hats when they wish to go un-noticed. Otherwise, if they feel like causing chaos, they can take their full Demon form or walk around with their horns in full view, the Demon have very few rules about conduct on earth.

Shifter
Shifters are lower-level Demons, but can be just as dangerous. They are of Human appearance, but possess the power to transform into animals (They can take any animal form, they are not bound to just one). Where they lack brute strength compared to the Demons, they possess a higher interlect and great amounts of cunning. They are more likely to come up with plans and schemes to turn Mortals towards Evil, rather than just run riot in the streets looking for trouble and people to hurt.

Fallen Angel
Fallen Angels have black wings and possess a crippling auror of Evil. They are Angels who dissobeyed God and turned to serve Evil. They are Generals for Satan and leaders of Demons. They are the most powerfull and most skillful in battle out of all the Evil creatures. The hold terrible grudges against Heaven and a very dedicated towards bringing about the destruction of Heaven so that they shall rule over Earth.

Satan
Satan is the Fallen Archangel, Lucifer. He rules Hell and all the Demons and tortured souls within it. He has long sought to bring about the destruction of Heaven, and sends out Demons to corrupt the Mortals and turn them to Evil. He resides in the lowest level of Hell, and shall only arise from it when the final battle commences. (As in the same case as God, please do not apply for this, I shall choose someone to play Satan)

Rogues
Rogues are Angels or Demons who have left they're places in Heaven or Hell, or were Angels who were kicked out of Heaven, but never became Fallen. The Rogue Angels have grey wings and possess no auror, the Rogue Demons can still take a half-Demon shape, but have lost most of their brute strength. The Rogues are Neutral and serve only themselves, they wander the Earth just looking to make a life for themselves rather than serve under a master or great deity.
