Occupations in Heaven
Archangels
Archangels, as you will know from the Races info, are the oldest, wisest and most skilled of all the Angels. Their jobs include many responsibilities. They are generals in the Army of God and in charge of great numbers of fighters. It is their job to ensure victory in battle. They watch over the other factions of Angels and are responsibile for their safety and guidance. They can also act as messengers in dangerous situations, relaying top priority information to the Palace of God and acting as go-betweens with Heaven and Hell, organizing meeting places and possible truces in battle situations. Although the Archangels are exceedingly old, they do not appear to be, as they can assume the form of any age and can choose how they appear to others.
Fighters
The Fighters are the backbone of the side of Good. They patrol the borders and guard the gates of Heaven. When fights break out down on earth, Fighters are quickly dispatched to take care of the Demons before things start to get out of hand. The Angelic Fighters tend to favour bladed weapons and/or bows and crossbows and their armour and battle attire is white and gold.
Guardians
The job of the Guardians is possibly one of the most important. Guardians are assigned a Mortal to watch over down on Earth, they must take care and guide this Mortal through their lives until they die, making sure that they remain safe and live a good life. If a Guardian senses that their Mortals is starting to walk down the path of sin, they can contact Heaven and request for an Influence to join them on Earth to try and encourage the Mortal otherwise and keep them on the right track. The Guardian's job is also one of the hardest to do, as they can become attached to their Mortal and develope strong feelings for them, which can lead to disasterous consequences. The Guardian's are not allowed, under any circumstances to reveal themselves to a Mortal in full form (solid form, wings and all, rather than invisible), if they do this their punishment c an be severe, and even worse if they were to reveal and confirm the existance of Heaven and Hell to that Mortal, and it can in the end lead to that Guardian being banished from Heaven and be forced to wander the Earth as a Rogue or join Evil as a Fallen Angel.
Influences
The job of the Influences is to instill good values in Mortals and keep them on the right path so that they can enter Heaven when they die. By placing a hand on the forehead of a Mortal an Influence can channel their thoughts and feelings into their mind, encouraging them to keep faith and to be more of the value that the Inluence represents. (Example Influences: Hope, Kindness, Charity etc.) The Influence's job is also to combat the Evil Influence Demons who encourage sinfull behaviour and cause the Mortal to become depressed or fearfull, which could lead to that Mortal committing crimes or even suicide, sending them to Hell. An Influences must find a Mortal affected by a bad Demonic Influence and encouarge them otherwise. Like Guardians, Influences must never reveal themselves to a Mortal, they must remain invisible.
Heavenly Muses
The souls picked to become Heavenly Muses are those that are the most beautiful and talented of all the souls in Heaven. Their job is to decend to Earth and inspire Mortals to do great things, whether it be in the form of art, music or film. Their job is to instill feelings of faith in Mortals, in what they do and how they live their lives. Muses are allowed to appear in solid form to Mortals, although unvieling their wings is strictly forbidden. They inspire Mortals with their Heavenly auror and beauty, or through they're own art and music.
Messengers and Watchers
These are two factions of Angels that can usually be found working alongside each other. They watch the living and all goings-on on Earth and report information back to the other Angels depending on what has happened.
Occupations in Hell
Demonic Influences
Demonic Influences do the opposite of Heavenly ones, they instill feelings of fear and hatred in Mortals, encouraging them to sin and cause harm to others and themselves. They can represent things such as Hate, Jealousy, Fear and Greed. Their aim is to cause the Mortals to darken ther souls so that when they die (or the Demons kill them) they will be sent straight to Hell for the sins they have committed.
Fighters
Demonic Fighters are the Evil equivalent of the Heavnly Fighters. They ascend to earth to cause havok and death, they actively seek fights with Angels and are known to be skilled in many weapens including firearms, each demon has their own preference of weapon and level of skill with it, unlike the Angelic Fighters who are all skilled in mainly bladed weapons. Their armour (when they choose to wear it rather than Mortal clothes) is black and red.
Fallen Angels
Fallen Angels are the most skilled of the Fighters, they are generals in Satan's army and command vast numbers of Demons and Shifters. They hold great grudges against Heaven for being either banished from it or for the way they were treated before they chose to leave, and they are ruthless and cruel in battle, enjoying torture and gory death. They, like the Demonic Fighters can be skilled in many kinds of weapons and their armous is also black and red.
Rogue and Mortal Occupations
The Gifted
The Gifted are Mortals who posses a fair amount of Psychic power and have the ability to either see or sense Demons and Angels. They can choose whether to act and use their powers or they can deny them and continue on with their normals lives. Those that choose to use them, can be either Good or Evil, they could use them to help those who are under the Influence of Demons or are in danger of them, or they can join forces with Demons to help them search out the Angels that have taken human form to hide. Few Gifted Ones possses anough Psychic power to be able to read minds or control them, as this is very rare, but it can happen every hundred years or so. (Please consult me first if you wish for your character to be able to read minds)
Rogues and Other Mortals
Rogues and Mortals pretty much have the same opportunities open to them, use you imagination when choosing their job, there are plenty of places in the city where they could work, whether its in the restaurants, shops or even the Hospital. Keep in mind that the Rogue can take human form (apart from the fact that demons must wear hats if they wish to ceal their horns), so their wings and odd body shapes shouldnt be a problem.
