Wow things were different and stuff man. Though the last part is bullshit - the cop and the professor made a verbal agreement that if he does not get 2/3 of the students to vote for him to stay, he would leave and there's nothing unconstitutional about two people entering such a voluntary agreement. If I were in that classroom I would have wanted him to stay though. Keep your friends close and your enemies closer and all that.
