Actually I would now say:

Endar Spire: Sets with some CGI
Taris: Sets with CGI
Ebon Hawk: Set
Dantooine: Enclave a set. Plains as some field that looks identical to whats in the game.
Kashyyyk: Sets with CGI. Surface, sets with CGI.
Tatooine: Tunisia with CGI
Manaan: Sets with CGI. Sets for Hrakart
Leviathan: Sets
Koriban: Sets for inside and out
Unknown: sets with CGI
Star Forge: sets

My god... the budget for that would be around 250 million dollars or something. Computer Generation Imagery wouldn't be too good anyway. I think real locations should be used as filming instead of CGI and sets all the freaking time.

Mainly sets. Just very good and realistic sets. Only CGI for things sets can't do. What is wrong with sets, they are often better than on location.

QUOTE (Logan Starr @ Sep 26 2009, 09:44 PM)
What is wrong with sets, they are often better than on location.

Locations > Sets.

One of the reasons why I liked Episode I and Episode II of the prequel trilogy's is because, unlike Episode III, they were filmed in real spots, and real locations. The Naboo scenes in Episode II were filmed in Italy and the Tatooine scenes in Episode I were filmed in Tunisia.

Sets are only useful for indoor environments such as a apartment complex or a military base or even the inside of a space ship. They do not have to be used for exterior environments.

And slapping CGI on everything would be completely pointless and a waste of money. Only use it when you HAVE to use it. Such as Taris, Nar Shaddaa etc..

No I disagree. Sets are heaps better. Even for things like Kashyyyk surface I would say sets would work. Places like the outside of Koriban would work better as sets. And CGI would only be added when necassary.

For the cities and ships like Taris, The Ebon Hawk, The Endar Spire, The Star Forge it would have to be sets and CGI. For Dantooine I could see maybe Alberta or some place with praries and plains with minimal CG. Kashyykk would yeah probably be a national park somewhere. Tatooine and possibly Korriban obivously Tunisia or Egypt for tomb stuff. Lehon, Hawaii. Now mannan would HAVE to be a set with greenscreen.
