What films are better?

The star wars saga
The alien films
The predator films

In my opinion......

STAR WARS ANY DAY!

That makes no sense. Why would you include the Machinima KOTOR trilogy alongside the Live action Star Wars movie trilogy? That's like me adding a banana to a hamburger.

But anyway, Alien and Aliens are pure masterpieces. Alien 3 is underrated (In fact, let me explain why. David Fincher, the guy who made Fight Club and Curious Case, was just a new director at the time and he didn't have much experience. Yet, I think he did a brilliant job with the film. Its a more serious film that has a religious tone. That's the concept they were going for, and Fincher fits the profile. I'll even go as far to say that Alien 3 is a better film then Terminator 2.) and Alien 4 just plain sucks. In fact, I'd consider it to be non canon. Alien 3 is the true conclusion to the trilogy, and that's that. Any event that took place in Alien 4 does not exist.

Alien Vs Predator is also garbage. The first one is just pure mindless action, while the second one is crap. I also consider these films to be non canon as well. Concept is good, but execution is not.

Predator 1 is ''okay''. I wouldn't say its better then the Alien trilogy though. And Predator 2 apparently sucks.

But anyway, I like both the Alien trilogy (I, II, and III. No IV involved.) and the Star Wars series equally. I can't really pick one over the other. There both masterpieces that many generations will remember.

I added kotor becuase its part of the expanded star wars story, star wars is one whole story split into six films, and the kotor films are part of it in my eyes, I mean unless they make a actual saga out of kotor kaydons and urs and tpiom's ( and everyone elses) are the closest we've got to a actual saga.

You must be blind then. tongue.gif

The KOTOR movie trilogy is fan work. Its not part of the official Star Wars canon, and thus considered Non Canon. Same with Tpiom's, Mines, and everybody else's KOTOR film.

This belongs in the "Movies" or "Star Wars General" section...I'll choose the latter since my answer to the question is Star Wars...after all it was a massive influence on Ridley Scott when he made Alien.

I really don't think you can compare those. Alien and Predator are both flowered up *I actually said flower because I know it's going to get censored anyway* science fiction movies that really don't show a lot of depth to the average viewer. Whereas Star Wars is a bigger thing, more kid friendly and overall WAAAAAY cooler. Sure it's also science fiction...but...I would call Star Wars it's own separate genre...too bad nobody agrees on me there.

Most likely that comment by 411 will be censored.

But Alien is not 'flowered' up.

I think that Alien is just a smaller universe, but I don't think it's at all "flowered up". Movies like Star Wars and Star Trek just have a huge history and universe to work with... their history is even bigger than ours! You've got a Jedi Order that's lasted millenia, a Republic that's been around for over 20,000 years, I mean, that's a lot of time, lots of stories to tell! With a universe like that, there's so much space, so many stories, Alien and Predator really can't keep up!

Stop being a bully and a off topic poster.

But anyway, in reply to Irishguy's statement, its true that Alien is a smaller universe then Star Wars or Star Trek, but its also a more realistic one as well. Instead of seeing blasters and high speed spaceships, we see a crew which are the ages of 30 or 40. I mean, these guys aren't young people that are seen in Star Wars or Star Trek, no way.

Their being sent on a expedition trip, to survey a abandon planet, and while their there, they find the Alien. At first, everyone is like ''WTF is that?'' And at the end of the film, we still have no clue what exactly it is.

I think that's the masterpiece of the Alien trilogy. The Alien itself is a mystery, and that's a pure gold selling point.

I note the mistakes everyone makes. It is not bully. Stop making so many errors.

Anyway Alien Resurection is flowered up. Alien 3 is good but not a masterpiece. Alien and Aliens are the only masterpieces of the Alien franchise. Star Wars is a deeper and richer universe than Alien but Alien has its good points. Star Wars has better charatcers and story. They rae both good though.

Predator while not great is still a very good film and a standout great Schwarzneggar film. Predator, while not as good as Star Wars or Alien is still underrated.

I find it bias of you to note other peoples mistakes when you yourself make mistakes too, yet no one ever bully's you about it and yet you rub our mistakes all over our face. Can you please stop doing this? dry.gif

And Alien 3 is a masterpiece. One of the best Science Fiction movies I have ever seen, and the most underrated one as well. Seriusly, its better then Terminator 2 Judgment Day and any other Schwarzneggar film. And you can't compare Aliens to Star Wars in the first place. Star Wars is space fantasy, while Aliens is Sci-Fi horror.

Though, I sorta find the dialogue in Alien 1 better then the dialogue spoken in A New Hope. That's just me though.
