soundtrack ideas, What music do you think would fit Episod

This thread is for members to post their ideas for music that could work for Episode 3.

Here's some of mine.

Dies Irae from Mozart could work for the duel on the Star Forge between bastila and Logan/Revan.

I don’t know whether this sort of music would be good for sweeping battles or sabre fights but has anyone ever listened to ambient and electronic pioneer Brian Eno. He has a few conventional pop songs but most of his works are beautiful sets of instrumental songs which many have been used for films and documentaries, he has an album named Apollo: atmospheres and soundtracks, it is entirely based on the imagery of space and space travel, its also his most popular album for being used in movie soundtracks, I highly recommend it for the project, or at least try checking out the instrumentals: An Ending (Ascent), Under Stars and The Secret Place, the later which could sound perfect for capturing the tense and distrubing moments of Korriban

A lot of the music from TES IV: Oblivion would fit the theme nicely, very good dynamic soundtracks.

Revenge of the Sith had some pretty good music...better than the other two prequels'. I have a disc of the entire sound track...I just need to find it.

I'm guessing picking out the music will be one of the easiest parts of completing Episode III for Kaydon

You said that picking the music out should be easy for Kaydon. How do you figure that?

One idea for a piece of music is that an instrumental version of the old Soviet Union national anthem, the hymn, could play at some point in the Sith Academy.

What I think SH means is it will certainly be easier than recording gameplay and splicing it all together. Plus there's all the new stuff, like Seth Draze and the Battle of Onderon. Compared to that, finding music is a breeze.

In addition to what JCarter said, I imagine he has a few songs in mind already. Seeing how he picked out "Klendathu Drop" from Starship Troopers as the escape from Taris theme, I'm looking forward to music cues that I wouldn't expect.

I'd love to see a full soundtrack list - in chronological order - for the Episode I songs.

One idea for the episode 3 soundtrack is when the Star Forge is being destroyed, part of the 1812 Overture could be playing in the background.

You know I am enjoying these suggestions, keep them coming... I have a HUGE soundtrack collection and it grows by the day - as you can tell from the varied songs and themes from the Episode 1 soundtrack! Who would have thought "Muppet Treasure Island" would make a great "Knights of the Old Republic" theme... by KOTOR I don't mean the title, but it's a theme (that will be used again in the trilogy, although sparingly) that conveys the group as a whole, fighting together.

Couple other tidbits - so far for Episode 2 I've used music from Empire Strikes Back, ROTS, Phantom Menace, Starship Troopers, Atlantis, Batman Begins, Gods & Generals, Shadow of the Vampire and SW:Republic Commando... and this is all in the opening 25 minutes or so! And don't worry... it blends well and sounds cohesive as a whole.

I thought the soundtrack of JA was just pieces of the original trilogy soundtrack. But I'm not sure...
