So Diana and I have just arrived here in at our hotel in Danvers, MA. We're about 10 minutes outside of Beverly (from the theatre). The show is about 4 hours away and we can't wait! There'll be another update after the show later tonight!

It's been a long drive, but it was all worth it to see Jim play Leo Bloom. Seriously, the man was born to play the role. He has the most adorable mannerisms you could imagine, and his panic attacks are priceless. Also, the guy who plays Roger DeBries and his partner are awesome!

As it happened in Brel and in Frankenstein, we once again found ourselves face to face with Jim's mom (Hi, Mrs. Stanek!!!). Mrs. S. is hilarious and lovely and we are always happy to chat with her. Jim plays the mortified son as his mom relates childhood stories of his. He worries that we are conspiring together to embarrass him. biggrin.gif

Anyhoo, more details will follow from Heather, cuz I'm exhausted.

As many people know, and as is evident by the first post on the "Jim as Leo Bloom!" thread, I've been waiting for him to finally get this role for two years now.

Well I was not disappointed! Jim not only met my extremely high expectations, he also surpassed them! I've always felt that this role was one that would fit Jim like a glove and it truly does. It's one of those instances where performer and character so perfectly mesh together that you can't differentiate.

I laughed, I cried (mostly because of all the laughing) and I just couldn't get enough of his performance. I'll go into a more indepth review when I return home but for all those who will be going to see Jim, get ready for a special and wonderful treat!
