Would Lee be transliterated is Li - meaning mine? Would it sound strange as a Hebrew middle name? ךאִ ??
Eg Keshet Lee/Keshet Li because if it works.... ![]() |

It works and it's used, a lot, by all kinds of people. As a prefix - LiTal, LiRan, LiOr - as a suffix - Neta-li, Or-li, Shir-li, and all by itself, just Lee.
Keshet isn't used much, and when it is, it's perceived roughly like it would be in English, if you were to name your daughter Rainbow. Then again, my dd(16) loves this name, along with Carmel, and Kinneret, so ask me again in 10 years, and I'll say it's the best name ever |

I never got that perception of Keshet. I know of a few. It's more popular than at least two of my kids' names (the other two having the most common Israeli names ever).
Names here can get SO wacky, that you can name your kid practically anything and everyone is cool with it. Names that are far out hippy names in the US are what the CEO is named here. There are exceptions, but there aren't many of them! |

sorry, the name is not Keshet - I was trying to get as far away from the name as I could
Lee would be the middle name/suffix for the boys name. He was a beloved uncle, the brother of my maternal Grandmother, and an artist.I think we've even got a girls name, too. I happen to LOVE them both, thank Gd, so thank you for all the help!! DH even likes both the choices. |

That's really funny, because Keshet Lee is so obviously a girls' name to us
Lee is usually a girls' name now, but there's no consensus, so it will be just fine. Be'Sha'aa Tova! Hope the baby that comes out fits the names you picked out! |

Hmm. I was afraid of that. The boys name is a pretty strong boys name. It won't sound strange on a boy? Not that it's Aish, but would Aish Li be peculiar?

Aish is weird, let me try it with something else, that you wouldn't be using
Aviad Li. Fine, just fine. |
