House 5x06 "Joy"

So the reason why I'm starting this topic, more or less, is due to my curiosity.

I haven't seen the episode myself but I've seen the Huddy kiss *shudders*. Anyways, that's where my curiosity actually lies.
I've seen the kiss scene clip on YouTube, and when it finished, I was like, "That's it?" Because all this time I've been dreading that scene and when it happened, it turned out to be... Weird.
House and Cuddy talking, then he looks at her, not even with passion or desire, let alone, love, and then BAM! Even their conversation is not exactly 'deep' enough to lead to a kiss.
I don't know, I just feel like the writers just shove that scene in just because they need to put the kiss in the episode. The build-up is... Flat. There's not even much time for intensity.
I mean, I'm a die hard House/Cameron shipper. But even the Chameron one night stand totally makes sense to me. Because they've been building it with Chase's touch of Cameron's shoulder, House's constant evilness, etc etc.

And I fully realize that I'm maybe biased. That's why, Chameron shippers, I want to know what you think about that kiss.

I am more of a House/Cameron shipper myself, but I was talking to one of my friends while another one watched the show last night. 'Oh no they're kissing!' was her reaction to the House/Cuddy kiss.

I agree completely. In anything else, Hugh Laurie and Lisa Edelstein would make a nice couple. Not on this show.

Well, speaking as a Chameron shipper, I thought the Huddy kiss was HOT!

And no, it's not just because Cameron is Chase's and it would be good if House was occupied with someone else.

I've kinda always been a mild Huddy shipper. I love their banter, and they go way back, so they really know each other. It's nice to see someone that can anticipate House's moves and is hardly surprised by them.

Of course, I squealed at the House/Cameron kiss too, so that just goes to show how much sense I make.

I'm really looking forward to seeing the fallout of the kiss. House and Cuddy's personalities, it's like, they never would allow themselves to be together, and they'd hate themselves for being attracted to the other one, but they can't deny that they DID kiss and it WASN'T a small, insignificant exchange.

Even if you're not a Huddy fan, just imagine all the awkwardness next week. It's gonna be hilarious!

Oh, and in terms of build up, or lack thereof, yeah, maybe it was a little bit of surprise (I was surprised to see House show up on her doorstep), but I think there's been build up in terms of the baby storyline dating all the way back to season two. It's obvious House cares. He can say he's just intrigued, entertained by Cuddy's struggle, but come on, it's more than that. He's in every Cuddy baby scene. He's always giving his opinion and "advice." He wanted to see the outcome and he wanted it to be in her favour. And when it wasn't, well, he wanted to be a part of that too. ;)

I think when they gave Huddy a history they set the stage to do a storyline like this. Everybody wants to know: how far did they really go in college? I'm excited to find out. ;)
