The one black undine seemed completely disinterested in the food the large dragon offered, most would feel slighted, insulted or disgruntled. But the obsidian colored dragoness seemed to not care on the least. Carefully she withdrew her clawed paw and the piece of fruit, instead seeming to withdraw just slightly from the fountain. Stretching a little she lounged to one side, away from most of the crowd lest she be more cramped in these quarters. And in fact most of the crowd seemed to shun her, fearing being near her larger form, some giving her disgruntled or displeased looks. Instead the large beast seemed rather content to just wait and watch the rest of the hatching unfold before her golden eyes.
Soon Kasumi noted the black undine had finally decided upon someone, someone it’s haughtily little posture suggested was worthy enough. Kasumi took an interested note of it and yet it did not move her at all. Hooding her eyes she silently watched as another undine broke its shell and then crawled up onto the rim of the fountain. A pure white and pale blue hide shining in the light. It was a lovely little creature and she seemed to know her own mind as she chose her bonded quickly. Then another showed his face, timid, afraid, scared Kasumi noted with more interest that before. He called, squealed and ran to someone before fright drove it away and then another werewolf also drove the creature to fear. Kasumi then noted the werewolf was going after the baby undine. That would not do, this was a hatching after all. Not an all you can eat buffet. She did hope the werewolf wasn't going after the little undine as food. The large black and silver dragon was beginning to uncoil when someone else intervened. Kasumi could not help but sigh a slight sigh in relief. It was so troublesome, these younger races. Still her golden swirling eyes were drawn to watch the scene, who had stopped cedric? The man she spotted approaching caused the dragoness to tilt her head. People bowed, the twinned fallen angels retreated, some people gasp. Who could command such a reaction in this place? Ah yes… The Archmage it was, oh yes she knew of him. Who that had lived for any length of time, or as long as she has would not know of him? Still Kasumi did not gasp, nor did she bow as many of the humans and people did. Kasumi just watched the scene, mild interest reflected in her serene eyes before she dipped her head just slightly, a simple gesture. “Archmage, welcome,” she commented, voice quiet, mild and as drifting as the mist of her name. |

There was a slight flicker of energy, a warning and slight lunge of power that sent a surge of static through those around him ad a faint sneer crossed over his face before it resumed a calm mask of patronizing kindness. 'Thats what they all say, Child. Go back to your pack.', he murmured quietly to the werewolf, smiling softly. There was something odd about the smile, but it was gone as quickly as it had appeared.
Seing to forget slightly about the werewolf, though with a slight shimmer, a harmless seeming, gold and silver inlaid staff appeared in his hands as he clasped them behind his back and bowed slightly back to Kasumi. 'Ah, great Kasumi, an honor to meet you. You look beautiful, as always.', he purred musically, eyes flickering back to Cedric as he murmured, 'A pity such..instinct-driven creatures must interupt such an interesting event, is it not?' His voice was quiet, peaceful, and hardly loud enough for the three of them to hear, much less the crowd. Several buildings away, Makiel continued ot ihss venmously, cuddling closer to his brother, nuzzling Zeke's arm until he wrapped it protectively around him. I dont like him, Brother. Its wrong for angels to control this city. This city should belong to us. Just thin, wouldnt it be so fun to rule? We could kill whoever we wanted whenever we wanted! He tittered in amusement, running a light finger down the female undine's spine, much to the still unnamed undine's pleasure. |

Janise just watched the people aroun her for a moment, making sure that none of them were going to do anything, and strangely enough, feeling she needed to protect the little black tyrant in her arms that was gorgeing himself on fruit. She had to think of a name for the little guy, and it had to suit him too. She immediately began running through the different words, and some old languages that her mother and father had taught her see if any words could match up with the little tyrant. She thought she had come up with one when she suddenly saw two more eggs hatch and the two beautiful little undines rcame out of their shells. one ran off into the croud and chose someone, the other ran off, than immediately started crying out in fear as something and darted back into the water near his mother.
What had scared him so much to make him run away from that woman he had been heading to. But she didn't reall have a chance to think about it before movement from somone in the crowd caught her eye, it was a threatening motion toward the fountain with the Undine's remaioning eggs and the mother. A werewolf who was letting his wolf get the better of him wac charging at the scared undine by the looks of it. Janise on reaction dropped her black Undine onto the side of the fountain as hse called up her elemental control and started to move. But she stopped immediatly upon the wolf impacting on a barrier. Who had...? She began thinking as she shook off the electricity she had jumping between her fingers and ready to throw at the werewolf, and dissapating it. She started to look around for the one who had stopped the wolf before she heard an angry hiss behinf her from her little black Undine. She turned to the undine and reached down to the thing, obeying his insistyance to be picked back up again. When she looked back up though she saw the arcmage standing there talking to the dragon after talking to the werewolf. She imeediatelty bowed down to him and backed away a little bit, not going to get in his way at all. The small static surge seemed to wash around her as the charge she had built up to be ready to attack the wolf, repelled it. |
