''We really came together,'' said Tavares, an NHL MVP finalist. ''I hope we can bring more next year. We found out what it takes to be successful. Great character in this room. I like where we are headed.''

This franchise is a complete waste, from top to bottom, including management, broadcasters, the food at NVMC, to the "writers" that cover them.

Butch thinks Pandolfo has had a wonderful season and should be brought back. 1 goal and 3 points = a wonderful season.

When I heard that earlier, I wondered if it was a request from Snow to praise his signings.

Absoluet joke.
Pandolfo has been a waste.

The problem with this rebuild is where Garth is building it. Its like he's building it on quicksand an we are sinking faster than we are rising.

The Islanders Axis of Evil: Wang, Snow, DiPietro.

They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.

Cool. Montoya being a team player, playing crappy. Snow should give him three years.

That a way guys...protect that positioning for the ping pong balls.

At least we will have a reason to watch in 21 days.

WTF is with this clown Dorsett... How does he lead the nhl in penalties and get all these fights when he's a TERRIBLE fighter. Martin didn't even look like he was trying and Dorsett was spinning like a draddle on the high holidays (for those of the Jewish faith, please forgive my horrible spelling)...

Just brutal. The Tazmanian Devil is more under control of his feet.

Was that Tavares that just scored?

John...I love that you work hard...but we need the picks. Didn't you get the memo from the Wanger?

That is a guy I've wanted to go after for some time. If Umberger is a UFA, and I think he is...we should look to sign him.

This is the type of guy who can help make a second or third line a more consistent scoring threat....sounds like something we could use.

I've been right there with you.
Nothing to dislike about his game.
Up and down player who's responsible and most of all, finishes his checks, stands up for teammates, positive influence in lockers.

Back to Butchie...
loved when they touched on the draft lottery between periods and he said, "Isles will get to see how their balls turn out."

Grahame should go in just for his likely work in practice to get these ride ready for the lottery push

Great question by Peter just now on Umberger. "How do you think you've so far offensively in the game". PEter - they have 5 goals already nimrod.

Where's Deb crying2.gif

Get Montoya out of there, yeesh.

Once again, great backchecking by our guys. Huh? Good gosh.

Can't wait to see the hydrating coach talk about how we battled after this one.

maybe he has Butch's voice in his ear. IF he did, he probably feels that we've played and battle well enough to win the division.

I feel bad for Tavares. he's created so many chances this game and gotten robbed.
In the first, Nielsen was our best 2 way forward, seeing the ice well...for me, some good fundamentals which is what you look for in game 82 regardless of record.

The fact that majority neglect defensive responsibilities and regress to pond hockey
is a sign of bad coaching, leadership.

It's another sign of a losing franchise
