Key game tonight as far as the draft is concerned. A regulation win for us would pull us behind one of Toronto and seriously jeopardize our lottery position. A regulation loss would put Toronto 5 points in front of us with 9 to play. We've gone through this long enough now to know that a win tonight and "playing out the stretch" means absolutely nothing in the grand scheme of things. Root for a loss.

ill bet the officiating is less lopsided tonight. I f-in hate toronto!

Call up the Bridgeport scrubs now.  I want the #3 pick.

The Bridgeport scrubs would probably be an improvement. Isles should be sending guys like Cizikas and/or Ullstrom down to ensure Bridgeport actually makes the playoffs.

That's a good point.
Totally agree even though Ullstrom has looked well lately.

Ullstrom deserves to stay. Send the rest down and play Reasoner/Pandolpho/Neidereiter top line even strength and PP. We need to see what these guys can do. They need to pad their stats too no?

Reasoner, Pandolfo and Niederreiter is a bad line combination.

The best thing for Nino is to play him on top 2 lines now.
Move Martin up as well.

Then again, the same crap SnoWang did last year and year before is the same they will do this coming season.

They will FOOL alot of people after signing Nabakov and possibly Parenteau to reach cap floor. TP will be in the mix again with his 4.5 million.
I don't buy any HOPES and DREAMS of amnesty BS being applied by this incompetent ownership. Another org might.

I have ZERO HOPE for this franchise moving forward with square wheels and this blind owner at the drivers seat.

Showing zero tolerance for koolaiders and SnoWang apologists since 2007.
This lifelong Islanders fan is sick and tired of pointing out the obvious to the oblivious.

I long for the day when I can show up to Charles Wang's wake with a shovel and
patiently wait for everyone to pay their respects so I can pay mine by burying the bastid.

Since it's over, take line one and lend a little Karl Mark to it (spreading the wealth so everyone's poor)

Bailey works with Parenteau and Cizikas
Tavares gets Nino and Okposo
Moulson slides in with Grabner and Nielson

Why not? The trouble kids get the best three guys on their lines. Cappy gets his side of cole slaw. Everyone's happy.

I'm heading to Florida tomorrow evening and I'll be at the game on Sunday. Won't be able to update this until Monday evening. We could very easily finish out of the bottom 5.

Have fun Snowman. It's a nice arena, I've actually seen a game there, I think the highest elevation (man made) in all of southern FLA at 30 feet.

The Islanders Axis of Evil: Wang, Snow, DiPietro.

They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.

It's my first time there so I'm looking forward to it. More so looking forward to the sun and palm trees but the weather here has been great anyway.

We're getting great help tonight. Toronto won, Montreal up 3 goals, Edmonton going to OT. Even though I'm going to the game Sunday, I WILL SECRETLY BE ROOTING FOR A LOSS!!!! I hope it's a high scoring loss so I can see some goals, but the way the Panthers play I doubt that'll happen.

Edmonton pulled out the win in a shootout. They trail us by two points. Montreal up 5-1 with 5 minutes to go and players getting ejected left and right. They will be tied with us. We've never needed a losing streak more than we do right now. Too bad this team plays like world beaters when the pressure is off...

Basically we need to lose both games in regulation this weekend. Games in hand are killers at this time of year. Rumor has it that both Columbus and Edmonton would be looking to trade out of their picks. Columbus because they wouldn't want to add a Russian again because of Filatov and Edmonton because I'm guessing they'd want to add picks and grab a defenseman. Could be a good chance for us to get Yakupov. Tavares still needs a dynamic winger to play with, a Kane to his Toews if you will.

Isles could easily pick 7th or 8th if they reel off a few wins to end the season. However, looking at their schedule, it's very possible they go 1-6. But I think we all know how this team just loves these meaningless late season victories.

Doing everything in our power to blow this. If we don't pick top 6 we got to sit through ANOTHER shitty season just to pick 8th or 9th? This team really knows how to shaft us.

Well, we should have known we would screw up our draft position. Why would we want a top 5 pick. I just hope that whomever we pick, they play in the NHL next year on the 4th line and maybe even a ton of healthy scratches. All the elite teams seem to use this method of youth development.
