SIM IS OUR "TOKEN"GNAT I DONT KNOW WHAT EVERYONE EXPECTS FROM HIM BUT HE'S ALWAYS HUSTLING AND EVERY STOPPAGE IN PLAY WHEN HE'S ON THE ICE HE'S RIGHT THERE GETTING UNDER SOMEONES SKIN
FOR SOMEONE WHO'S VERTICALLY CHALLENGED IT HASNT STOPPED HIM 1 BIT I WATCH HIM PLAY AND CAN SEE HIM PLAYING WITH 77-80 TEAMS... A PLAYER THAT JUST DOES WHATEVER IS ASKED OF HIM
WITH SIM YOU KNOW HE'S OUT THERE EVERY GAME HE GETS NOTICED
THATS MORE THAN YOU CAN SAY FOR THE MAJORITY OF THIS TEAM FOR THE LAST FEW YEARS

As per Eklund:

"As I am writing this, the first two possible teams that came through were Ottawa and the Islanders..."

apparently Patrick Sharp and Cam Barker are also trade bait

honestly I'd like all three and we could get them on the cheap because they are obvious salary dumps, but is snow that smart and is he willing to part with someone like a joensuu or a robin figren or a goalie cause Christobal Huet isn't a #1.................i would be

I also think one of these salary dump trades are likley to happen considering we have an excess of players and have had a bad start.

"Plus: Any fan can bring a hand-made sign for Tavares. But for a family - not named Sim - to be in the Coliseum today with a “We (Heart) Sim” poster, that’s just priceless."

Yes, I was that guy.

If Garth can get any of them without selling the farm, take them.

I doubt any of them are going anywhere this early in the season though.

This organization is not going to do anything at this time, especially with players that have huge salaries.

Well if we could get one of them cheap then why not? problem is we can't so it's not happening.

If I had to pick one of the 3 though it would be Cam Barker because he's young, scored 40 pts in his first full season and is 6'3'' so he would add some size to our mini defensive team.

We've been told that Garth Snow has free rein in making moves, adding salaries

Lets remember that the Hawks will have their three young studs up for UFA in just a few seasons and their idiot GM who can't even send offer sheets using a technology beyond Pony Express 2.0 screwed that franchise before he was canned. They have so much cash tied up in contracts, they are terrified they won't sign TWO of the three, let alone all three. Towes and Kane could BOTH be lost if they don't free up some cash and soon.

I wouldn't want to add Campbell's salary because at 6.5 mill a year, you should be able to play in both ends of the ice and Campbell hasn't played well defensively since he left Buffalo. I'd JUMP at Barker if he was offered.

Remember something....Chicago is the one DESPERATE to move salary, or will be. We don't need to give up a top prospect to land what they will either give away to free up cash or whatever they let walk as a UFA. I'd send a Jesse J or a Robin F or a Nilssen to land Barker. I'd also send deHaas. The only ones on our roster I wouldn't send would be named Tavares and Okposo. However, I wouldn't send them a package of prospects for Barker. Two mid level prospects is plenty. No more. Even that might be overpaying to help out Chicago.

Remember, they are the ones who will be desperate. Not us.

They already have an overpriced one named Huet.
