A young scorer who played great for us while we had him, and had a decent year on a bad team.
Could easily fill in the gap in the 2nd line and his salary is only $450,000.

In 70 games, he managed 18 goals and 21 assists with the Hawks. Put him on a line with someone that can feed (Kozlov, Zednik) and see what happens.

Randy is a free agent so he couldn't be traded unless he was resigned, which is doubtful with Bates coming back.
