Normally, I would envision us playing looser after the players realize that they are not making the playoffs with a day off. I would predict that we'd win this one.
But Caps have been playing well.
Hope this is a good game.

I'm getting a root canal done. Looking forward to that more than I am to this game.

Won't be watching, could care less.

I don't believe that. It's still the nyi2.gif, you'll watch, I'd put money on that.

Cant blame Crappy for the Haley move, he has been begging for tougher players the whole year...that move is all on Snow/Wang...by the way it took Milbury 6 years to make the playoffs....next year is Snows 6th year..he has yet to get Isles into playoffs (i dont count him taking over Smiths team, especially since they all left July 1, 2007)..how does this guy still have a job?

You would lose. I'm done, really. I only get frustrated when I watch, so why watch? The saddest part of all of this is that I have NEVER given up on this team.

Until now.

I just don't see anything but the same crap for the rest of this year and next. My hopes for this team to have improved to a playoff position are gone. My hopes for any of that changing next year are gone too.

Sorry to say it, but I am officially done with this team until something changes. Which means I am officially done with this team.

If they fire the coach, GM or sell the club I'm back. But until then I'm gonna read what my friends here write and may comment from time to time, but I'm out.

Sorry, they finally got to me.

Wow. When fans like Rifle pack it in, it means we're on the last layer of hard-core fans left.

I will not watch them the rest of the year, either.

Returning Haley is the last straw. It may seem like a small move but what it tells me is this franchise has no interest in defending its players, too. We finally get some energy and a guy who would run through a brick wall to help the team win. And he's sent back while loafers like Reasoner, Pandolfo, Jurcina, etc continued to be given ice time.

I will watch. We all will.
Some more than others.

I will not however buy any tickets to any games until Wang is no longer the owner.
OJ Simpson was a murderer and was allowed to walk free.
While truly no comparison, Charles Wang not getting media scorn disgusts me the same way OJ's freedom did.

I doubt that too. I know you want to be that way and spite Wang, but you have a young son and I know hockey is too important to not attend some games with him and be that great dad that knows everything about hockey and the Islanders. I will still go to games here and there because as a family its an event we all enjoy doing together (how lucky am I to have a family like that yes.gif ).

You may not like your dollars going to Wang, and certainly you wont spend like you would if he wasn't the owner, but he is the owner of our favorite team, the only professional sports team on the Island and he kinda has us hockey lovin' fools over a barrel.

I've only gone twice this year. Twice. Lowest in years.
Have turned down free tix several times though and even given away tix.
Last game was with my son, nephew and a couple of older kids (neighbors).
All Isles fans. I kept my Wang hatred to myself so they could enjoy themselves.

My wife has a custom kitchen and bath design business in Blue Point. She keeps asking me if I wanted season tix again. We could put them on the business.
THAT is where Wang loses. When the tix reps call, I'm very cordial yet direct.

John Tavares is worth a ticket alone. Kid's got more heart than many men who've worn that jersey over the last 2 decades. I wish our owner had one.

You bring up an excellent point. For many people, season tickets could be written off. It's not the prices that are keeping people away (even though the prices are ridiculous).

So buy your tickets on Craigslist or from STH's selling private so ****head doesn't get any more money.

Easy solution.

I totally understand why you have to break the blockade to treat your kids. I, personally, would just go to see the Isles at the Garden (despite the pee smell) or Newark I hate Wang so much these past ten years plus.

NYIslanders: Nabokov in net tonight. PA is out with an upper body injury. Seven D will dress for warmups. #isles

No Parenteau.
They should move Niederreiter up to Tavares line.
Then again, I expect them to throw Okposo there.

I don't care what our aquaman head coach does as long as this team finishes more than 13 checks this game.
