Here's the 20 for tonight's game in Newark:

Forwards

Blake Comeau-Marty Reasoner-Nino Niederreiter

Jay Pandolfo-Josh Bailey-PA Parenteau

Matt Martin-Ryan Strome-Tim Wallace

Trevor Gillies-Trevor Frischmon-Micheal Haley

Defensemen

Mark Streit-Steve Staios

Aaron Ness-Mark Eaton

Matt Donovan-Mike Mottau

Goaltenders

Rick DiPietro, Kevin Poulin

Comeau and Reasoner were a tandem in Calgary, and Comeau is still trying to find a place to fit in among the forwards. Same with Bailey, who has skated with Parenteau in practice this week. Martin and Pandolfo are candidates for a fourth-line LW spot, and what they do on the PK and at even strength may determine whether Pandolfo gets a contract offer.

Webb20 - September 30, 2011 02:29 PM (GMT)
The forwards are shaping up to be on opening night.

Moulson-JT-Nino
KO-Frans-Grabs
Comeau-Bailey-PA
Martin-Reasoner-Haley
(Gillies here and there)

So what do we do with Rolston? I think there is just no room for pandolfo.

stevedepot - September 30, 2011 02:34 PM (GMT)
Haley won't be on the roster opening night.
If he is it will be in place of Martin.

Rolston will be ready. Should be.

Pressure to finish this old house in in full swing.

You're a good man Brian!!!

I hate wallpapering.
My wife was 7 months pregnant and she actually helped me wallpaper my sons room.
All worth it in the end. 4 more weeks!!! wow.
Cannot wait for posts from a sleep deprived sybo!

We bought the house a little over a year ago... only 1 family has lived in it since it was built in the 1939. They didn't really want to sell but were just too old to do the stairs anymore...it's a large(ish) colonial.
Wallpaper in every single millimeter of the house.

Finished the downstairs over the course of the year...finished the nursary last week. Now I gotta knock out the master bed and hall/stairway in the next couple weeks (paper removal, spackle, paint, carpets, furniture)

no pressure LOL !!

My company did his automated shading system...nice guy.

**Back on topic...with only two preseason games left I'm surprised there aren't more real roster players in this game. The "A" squad is gonna start the season w/ only 2 games under their belt?

LEDZEP - September 30, 2011 07:20 PM (GMT)
Rick DiPietro will play, that is a good sign he is 100% healthy :torrey:

Local Area my arsenal. Could not watch the last 2 streams. I had to listen to the bruins broadcast the last game. If they are banning fios ups. I think Wang and the NHL should get involved as it is very bad pr and wrong for the fans. Not to mention isolating the fans who are not from the area.

Yeah she's getting on my nerves. She said at the beginning the biggest thing coming out of DP's start last week was that he "didn't get hurt". You're a member of the media, not a fan posting on a message board. Get some professionalism.

Correct, she should leave all the off the cuff idiocy to me.

Loved seeing Haley jump in for Gillies.

Boys need to pick up the skating this period.

For someone getting paid to do a broadcast, yes.

DiPi - October 1, 2011 12:05 AM (GMT)
Donovan looks like crap. He definitely does not belong up here.

stevedepot - October 1, 2011 12:08 AM (GMT)
I hope Sherry Ross' next hot flash friggen melts her.
God she's atrocious.

My god the DP give aways from over handling the puck will never stop haunting me. Two very good scoring opportunities from one incident with DP. This will happen atleast once every game that DP plays. That is all it takes to lose most games. FML.

The Moose - October 1, 2011 01:34 AM (GMT)
He lets up one goal, facing a PP, he's bashed.

Never change, Isles fans.

stevedepot - October 1, 2011 01:58 AM (GMT)
No Islander stood out in this game.
DiPietro aside from 2 giveaways played his angles well and had a decent game.
Baileys was good on his end of the ice with several take aways, being strong on the puck and creating some offense but couldn't finish.
Lots to work with. Right now, 2 most important things for us are:
1. that Nino's groing strain is minor
and
2. Shanahan doesn't suspend Strome for that boarding major.

It's the same old story at least since 2000
Rick DiPietro stops everything except 1 goal
without Rick DiPietro the score could have been 9-0

Rick DiPietro is left all alone stopping everything humanly possible
but when a team has no offense how do you expect a future HOF
and a 2 career playoff win goalie to win the Cup let alone a pre season
hockey game.

Look Rick DiPietro can not score the goals he can only stop the puck.

The way I see it we need Rick DiPietro to play a minimum of 65 games
this year if we want a chance to be in the top 5 to get the number 1 pick
next year.

It is just not fair for Rick DiPietro :angrier:

Cant find any.

this is a special needs number for the box office at Webster Arena. 203-345-2400. It may not get you tickets if you're not handicapped but it will get you to a person in the box office there and maybe you could ask if there are walk up tix available.

edit: just read it was sold out.
