Just FFFing disgusting. I don't know what was worse...watching the Steelers run for 6 yards a carry in the first half or listening to Jim Nantz give verbal filacio to Rothlesberger after the game. It was nausiating listening to Nantz..."with what you've been through..." What HE'S BEEN THROUGH? How about the women he's assaulted. Mike Vick got what he deserved and Big BEn was far worse and got a slap on the wrist and now Pitt embraces him again because he can win a game. FFFFing frauds. No wonder they love douchebag Crosby.
And for Ben to start "kneeling" and talking about God...don't insult those who truly have faith and LIVE LIKE IT. Did he mention God when he assaulted that chick in GA last summer? Now we'll have to listen to the media for 2 weeks about "how far he's come". He's an @$$hole.

I'm not a Jets fan, but I love how this team plays...love their brashness, love their attitude and love their coach. Wish he was coaching with his brother in Dallas next season. Jets had a great year and while it doesn't feel like it now, fans should be proud of their effort. Reminded me of how the Mets wouldn't die v. the Braves in 1999 playoffs. The Jets didn't quit and kept coming and you've got to love that effort.

I soo wish you guys had made it to the SB. I hope you make it next year. Great season Jets.

I've read a lot about how he's been an asshole in Pitt. But there are people out there looking for the pay off on these people as well.

I don't believe the first one at all. Sounds like she's a bit dizzy in the head. But who knows? YOU weren't there, and I wasn't there.

This 2nd one sounds bad and one would think that a guy in Ben position, wouldn't be hanging out in a college town like that. But then what were under age girls doing there? Anybody card anybody? Sound like somebody (club) wasn't doing their job. You've never run across a girl like that in your "young'n days"? Tease tease tease!! Oh he tried to rape me!! Where's my lawyer?? Where's your parents, wondering why your out drinking under age? (yeah, that's a bit much, but still, don't put yourself in situations that might lead to something like this).

Vick was proven and con-VICK-ed (and personally I think that was FAR worse). Ben was not. So for, that call him a rapist? Really? Innocent until proven guilty just doesn't mean anything any more huh?

But Brett Farve (with the Jets) can do that crap not receive any penalty from the league? So why does Ben get 4 and Brett 0?

So please, you may not like him, but seriously, don't call him a rapist. He may be an ass. He may be trying to make his life better because of all the press. But he was never convicted.

And let us not forget the other reporter that filed charges against the Jets.

What reporter filed charges against the Jets? If you are referring to the Mexican female, no charges were filed. She didn't even complain about what had happened and said it was no big deal. No one laid a finger on the woman and she said no one did anything to even make her feel uncomfortable.

Now, if you want to bring up the massage ladies and the Brett Farve thing...yeah, douchey move by Brett Farve. But he's no longer a Jet and Jets fans don't treat him like Jesus. And I think he's a big tool as well. I wish the league had the cajones to suspend him, even though he's retiring. They should have suspended him for not cooperating with the investigation at the very least.

As for your comments to somehow justify Ben Rothlesburger's behavior... "oh what are underage girls doing drinking", what are they doing in a bar, have you ever known a girl to tease, tease, tease...

No charges were filed. Of course not. Not when his "security guys" are off duty county cops and were there. What a shock the cops failed to secure the crime scene and lost evidence. Ask Ben how much he paid the girl to drop the charges. Please read the piece SI did on Rothlesburger and how the city of Pitt hates him but loves Sid and the Penguins. It was back around Sept. You'll note the stories of how bars and restaurants have BARRED BEN from attending because he's abusive.

And no. I've never been in Ben's situation because I don't need to have women so drunk they can't even walk to nail. I prefer my women with the ability to consent, stand up (or other positions if they are willing and the situation requires) and not vommit on me. I know, my standards are way too high compared to Ben.

Twenty years ago when in college (yeah, I'm old, shut up lol ;) ) I saw girls falling down drunk all the time. My first night of my jr. year I was an RA and pulled hall duty. I'm sitting in the office around 11:30 pm and I look up and there is a frosh standing in the hall disoriented, naked with the exception of a sheet half covering her, cut, bruised and a mess. She and 5 other girls went to a house party her first night at college. They went to a house party. She got blotto and the girls she went with left. She passed out. Woke up later in a guys room with 6 guys standing around her on a bed, clothes off. They all nailed her while she was passed out. Yeah, she could have done things to cut down the likelihood...not drunk so much, go out with people you know for more than 24 hours...but none of that is an excuse or justification for what was done to her. I called campus police, brought her into the office and put blankets on her, she wouldn't let me within 5' of her...can't blame her after what she'd been through. That was her only night at college. Her parents took her home the next day.

So please don't give me the bs of "ok Ben is a dbag, but what about the girl" or that "they tease" bs. Trying to justify the actions is disgusting...and all for the outcome of a game.

I did read the SI, yeah, A-hole. But I also think we're too quick to side the "victims" at times. So until something is truly proven, I won't be that judge mental. He knows what he did. We all know that the lawyers run the show.


And as far as your story. It is sad, but the harsh truth is don't put yourself in those situations and you won't be a victim. (And props to you for helping her :cheers: )


So I'll leave it at that. I'm a Steeler fan. I don't like what's gone with Ben's personal life, but I think this will be his wake up call and he will make his life better.

So much is being written now about the great Ben Roethlisberger and in interviews, the ass lickers are phrasing questions carefully asking him about overcoming "adversity" to make it all the way back to the Super Bowl.

Last time I checked, the motorcycle accident was his fault and byproduct of his own stupidity.
The hornball incidents in Tahoe and Georgia were caused by him actually raping/assaulting these girls in a drunken stuper while star crazy personnel did what they could to protect him...
or the guy was falsely accused and is only guilty of being at the wrong place at the wrong time.
