lets hope biron (assuming hes starting since roly played last game) can finally step it up so i can get this idea out of my head that if biron is in net we're gonna lose...

Plane and game, or just game tickets?
At least snow(not Garth, the fluffy white stuff) is not on the forecast down there.

This really sucks. I have to watch the Tampa feed tonight, Don't have Versus so I miss the Flyers game, get to watch the Leafs, Boston feed for the next game, and the Florida feed for that game. Center Ice sucks the big one.

islanders are not playing well at all...thrasher game was maybe their best...this was is def. their worst...nobody can handle the puck, players are standing around..making poor decisions with the puck...just an awful performance from the team tonight..

have I mentioned that their powerplay sucks yesterday, today and tomorrow?

Islander4cups - December 6, 2009 02:24 AM (GMT)
I don't know what's worse...watching the Islanders figureskate thru this game with no effort or having to listen to the Tampon Bay feed with this idiot "Big Chief" who is such a fracking homer it is ridiculous.

Forget the fact that the first goal was covered and the ref never blew the whistle, the ning are going after our goalie on every cover and he has the balls to cry that Downie got a gouble minor for roughing. He's throwing lines like "the refs are just looking for things" when Witt was forearmed to the head.

This guy is such a ffffing homer on the ranks of Buffalo, Pitt and Boston announcers. I wish we actually showed up to play this gme so this idiot would stfu.

AND GORDON---WTF. GET KO OFF THE POINT AND GET FRANZ OFF THE FRACKING POWER PLAY!!!! Are you kidding me? You ran the PP with Franz, Hunter and JT as your forward line leaving KO at the point and Moulson on the bench three times tonight? Then we have Sim on for the second unit. You are an idiot. Our PP is 2 for 15 coming into this game. I believe that is right around the time Franz started getting so much PP time. I could see why an offensive juggernaught like Franz would get PP time and you'd split up Jt-Ko and Moulson. Great job coach.

3POTI - December 6, 2009 02:37 AM (GMT)
yeah, I'm not exactly falling inlove with franz on the pp anymore...just don't see it working..

also agree on that first goal, what a joke that was...now it seems the ref is trying to make up for it..and blowing the whistle quick..

the islanders are just not playing together...alot of individuals stuff. :dontknow: nobody is on the same page..

I think, someone forgot to tell the team, that biron is not playing. :yea:

sybo - December 6, 2009 02:41 AM (GMT)
Screw job....whatta joke

oldislesfan - December 6, 2009 02:41 AM (GMT)

I4C you hit the nail on the head with those idiots calling the game.

After the third goal I had to turn the game off.

the one guy sounds like Norm (I forget his last name) that used to do the news on SNL.

Oh well, on to the nest game.

LEDZEP - December 6, 2009 06:32 AM (GMT)
I'm not hear to post and nobody else does
plus the Isles lose 4-0 = :disgraced:

Webb20 - December 6, 2009 01:39 PM (GMT)
And what was Tambellini doing on the PP?

Not a good effort at all, not the smothering forecheck we've grown use to, where was the physical play on our part?

The only one grinning after this one was Biron. In that 'you see what it's like when I start?' look.

stevedepot - December 6, 2009 02:03 PM (GMT)
Way too much running around in our own end. Too much chasing and stick waving again.
I never want to see Meyer and Witt on the ice together again.
This stride-stride, poke check attempt stuff has got to stop. If the check is there, FINISH it.
The onus then falls on your teamate(s) to get the loose puck, when you try and poke check, miss and get beat, the onus is on you.

I wonder if the boys had too much fun with their dads celebrating the last effort?
They certainly worked hard on some shifts and forced the Bolts into some dumb penalties but
when you don't capitalize on those PP chances, the other team can continue to take liberties
and play any game they so choose.

Good sign seeing Okposo lose it after hitting the post.
I bet he relaxes a bit and they start going in for him.

Onto the next one...

stonedcold39 - December 7, 2009 12:53 AM (GMT)
Wasn't sure if I was watching a hockey game or Disney on Ice.

Maybe if this Pee Wee hockey and dAdDy was going to

buy them a hot dog and a soda after the game

and then go to Grandma's later for dinner.

these "boys" In most cases are millionaires who are

supposed to be professionals. :torrey:

Didn't see the game, my son had a varsity game at the same time. From the sounds of it I saw a better game...

Richard Park -14 through 29 games, ranked 750th in the NHL. Nope. We didn't need Andy Hilbert, who was a -3 last season. Oh right, we got Nate, the Great, Thompson.

Webb20 - December 7, 2009 03:45 PM (GMT)
Hey, Nate Thompson is the answer....

...to the question of who replaced Andy Hilbert.

:D

Ozzie307 - December 7, 2009 04:58 PM (GMT)
It's really asking a lot of park to be the center going up against the other teams top lines on a routine basis. He's a fourth line center, not third line. If hilbert was asked to fill that role, his plus/minus would be horrible as well.
