Don't stare into the Moonlight

The forums have slowed down a lot lately, and I know a lot of it can't be helped. Some of us have very serious personal issues that need to be tended to, others are swamped with schoolwork, and others are studying for finals and/or working more than they really should be.

I'd like everyone to know that it's perfectly fine with me. I'm not going to let it get to me. If the forums slow down a little, I'll be okay with it as long as someone is still around. Which kind of makes me think that I would continue Intervention if it were only me and one other person. Haha, to think I'd ever seriously considered closing down shop...it's amusing in retrospect.

If you find yourself completely indisposed of and need permanent leave of absence like Ponderer, who originally stated that he will return to posting once he gets his characters and his schoolwork all straightened out, then just let me know. If you need a long break, let me know.

But be warned that your characters will be on NPC status until you return. Just because something goes wrong in your life or you have way too much work doesn't mean the rest of us need to suffer too. Characters may be placed at the back of a party, others may mysteriously be left behind by accident, some may be injured and placed on a bed to heal, etc, etc, but the point I'm trying to make is that the forums will not stop for anyone any more.

Granted, I'll still wait for people who tell me "don't post for my character, I'm going to get to it ASAP." But let it be known that you can officially cast an "I'll be a little while, just play my chars for a bit" right here.

So yeah, if you need an extended leave of absence (as in you don't think you can post once every week or two), let it be known here so that your characters can be taken care of so that the forums don't completely stop. If things keep going at the rate they are, Sekhmet won't die until 2010 or so, and I'm sorry, I love Intervention, but one main storyline doesn't take five years.

Please consider carefully when thinking about your posting availability. If you can't post every week or two, SERIOUSLY CONSIDER A LEAVE OF ABSENCE (LoA)! Preferably, if you can't post once a week, I would like to hear at least a consideration for this. We have enough RPs going right now that someone should have at least one character involved in something, whether it's a War RP or Main RP, Independent or Comic Relief.

Stagnation brings about sickness, people. I don't want Intervention to fade away by lack of posting. At least think about this.

Well said my friend. Well said. I do appreciate the fact that even though these people can't post right now, they still want to be here and have not forgotten, and that is what i ask.

I've been trying to keep my characters out of serious involvement for a reason... At the moment I have way too many projects that have me pressed to finish and these next four to five weeks are going to be a living HELL for me... Just keep that in mind.

However, I'm not making them NPCs. Why? Well, simply because my only form of stress relief has to do with the pc. I'm online a lot if you haven't noticed, even if I'm away from the keyboard. I'm either hovering around my room and working or looking at digital pics of the still life I'm working on. Either way, I'll be able to reply to messages.

When it comes time for me to post, and it's holding up the story, simply IM me. Even if it's just for the reason that someone needs to post and you can't think of anyone else at the moment available to do so. I'll get to it as soon as I reach some sort of stopping point. It may not be the best post, due to lack of time to focus on it, but it'll be something. If I feel like my post should be something of note then I'll let you know and just give me a day or so to get it put together. I do still have free time...and I've found that if I can learn to manage it, then the precious little can become much more.

So, just let me know when I'm needed. ^ ^

As long as people keep being amused by the antics of my characters and their interesting foil, I'll be here...

Seeing as I don't know when I'm going to get more free time other than a few minutes here and there, I'm officially make the following declaration:

If has not already happened, during the next fight/adventure/whatever, Shadowblade needs to be put on some sort of hold (i.e. runs off, injured/sick, disappears mysteriously, etc.)

I leave it to one of the people who post frequently and has normally story-driving ideas to work it out, but I just figured I should let you know.

And I apologize for my extended leaves-of-absence from this, but right now I am having trouble finding the time. unsure.gif

Want to have a laugh? The next time you play Kingdom Hearts or KH2, replace "keyblade" with "peanut butter". I.E.:
The Heartless have great fear of the "peanut butter".

No problem there, Gecko, your and Bree's characters went off to do something already. An exit's already been made.

Just an update on why I haven't posted on the main rp:

I'd like to see if we can't wait for Hopps or Merit to help out. If not, I'll move it along by the end of the week with M and Cyrus set as NPCs.

Attention to all my fans:

I have returned.

I have have decided that it was time to return, and with it, there are some things that should be known.

All my current characters status:

Jezreel and Dredle are still on the Unknown Continent, and they will remain their until Mona day moves ahead by one or two.

Autohart is in a hospital under heavy guard, while his wounds are being tended to so that he can can be questioned regarding Locust.

Locust is still on the dragon that it constructed in the canyon, and wondering somewhere over the ocean, absorbing energy so that it can mend itself. Any run-ins with Locust at this point will amount to someone in the group spotting a large white serpent-like dragon (it will probably be too far off to notice it is zombie dragon) flying through the sky... no confrontations.

Now that is out of the way, all the above mentioned characters are still out of action, and will probably remain out of action for the rest of the Monan day, possibly two.

I'e decided to try some new characters for a little while, but do know that I do plan to reintegrate most of them back in some way.

It feels good to be back.

As you all well know, for various and continually compounding reasons I need not explain my absence here. However, I see that it can be tolerated no longer. At least, not both I and Hopps being out of commission. What else better to do to kill the time anyway, eh? Take my mind off things.

So I guess that, in a sense, I will return to posting, and will take over for Cyrus in the main threads for now. But don't expect me to be a powerhouse here, I'm barely living as it is. It doesn't feel at all right not getting to write this with Brian, so if I'm coming back, I'm coming back mostly for Lucifer and Sana. Don't get excited. It's not going to be %100 efficiency.

But I can do a little. And if you would rather, Adam, I would love to get some help with SB. It would give the frequenters something to do while everyone else is busy.

Man#3: You were lucky to have a room! We used to have to live in a corridor!
Man#1: Oh, we used to dream of living in a corridor. It would have been a palace to us! We used to have to live in an old water tank in a rubbish pit. We got woken up every morning by having a load of rotting fish dumped on our heads! House! Humph!
Man#4: Well, when I say house, it was really only a sort of hole in the ground covered by a sheet of tarpaulin. But it was a house to us!
Man#2: We were evicted from our hole in the ground. We had to go and live in a lake!
Man#5: You were lucky to have a lake! There were a hundred and fifty of us, living in a shoebox in the middle of the road!

Yay, Merit's back ^ ^

But...You know you don't have to put too much emphasis on your characters... If you really are going to have that much trouble just keep them in the background instead of asserting them to the front line.

Yep. Let Sana rest. We do need to finish Focus soon, though.
